Nice hawaiian style shave ice with soft serve at the bottom. Great for a hot, sunny day shoppimg in waikiki

Came here for a smoothie and saw they had coffee shakes. So I decided to go for the coffee shake. What a BIGMISTAKE that was!!! The first sip of their pitiful coffee shake tasted like watered down then refroze coffee that was then made into shaved ice. It was horrible! Never felt so ripped off in my life. I wanted to throw it away, but my cheap a$$ did not want to waste my $ 5.50 that I just spent on this thing. The description said that it was made with soft serve. I thought it was going to be soft serve, coffee, and maybe some milk. If I would have known the main ingredient was ice I would have never gotten it. I would never come back to this place even for a second try just to get ripped off again.

A place that serves dole whip — NOT at the plantation. Score! This is perfect for tourists in Waikiki who crave dole whip, but don’t want to make the trek to the plantation(again). Way more different toppings, and slightly cheaper than the plantation, too. They also have other flavors, including strawberry, vanilla and chocolate. I usually keep it simple — straight pineapple flavored dole whip. The medium(~$ 4.50) is enough to satisfy me. An interesting variation they do is snow cone with dole whip. Cash only.

Delish! Dole Whip and shaved ice! Yum! Try the guava, passion fruit and mango shave ice flavor! Prices are fair for waikiki.

another little ice cream stand in the international marketplace at waikiki. since i’d fallen in love with the dole whip during my stay on o’ahu, i had to have it one last time before i left the islands and headed back to the mainland. luckily, this ice cream stand had dole whip, in more than one flavour! they offered pineapple, vanilla, chocolate, and orange. hmmm… decisions, decisions. i decided to go with a medium-sized cup of pineapple and vanilla swirled($ 4.50) since i definitely wanted the signature flavour, pineapple, and hubby likes vanilla. these two flavours definitely complemented each other well since the slight tartness of the pineapple was offset with the sweetness of the vanilla. it was the perfect way to end another very warm day, and our week in o’ahu. deducting 1 star since i had to wait a while before it was my turn. on a friday evening, when it’s hot, and there are many customers wanting a frozen treat, it would be a good idea to have more than 1 staff member working.

Dole whip, non fat, no cholesterol, non dairy Soft Serve made with fruit. Only sell it on the island, Disney, and Fisherman’s wharf. I love the idea that it’s way healthier. Is it really? :-) Mmmm. Hawaiian shave ice with pineapple, guava, and mango with condensed milk! Yummers! Not crushed/shaved ice, the real deal of shave.

Nice pit stop if you need fast and small dessert. Located inside International Market in the food court, hang on the left side when walking in and you’ll see it. Mainly 4 flavors– Vanilla, strawberry, pineapple, chocolate. You can choose between cone or cup for same price, $ 3.50 for a small. Taste pretty good, have had better but hey, it’s close.

Dole Whip on the bottom and shave ice with condensed milk on top? Don’t mind if I do… Yeah, it’s not the most authentic, but when the sugary melty goodness meets in the middle, sucking up the weird colored mess with a straw is a disgusting, yet delicious treat. Located in Waikiki’s International Market, Island Breeze is a part of this tourist trap. But it’s the scene of my first shave ice experience and makes me a wee bit nostalgic. Yes, you can get better stuff in Honolulu(or beyond), but it’s not bad, either.

Just came back from the Dole Plantation and can’t get enough of that delicious Dole whip? If you’re staying in Waikiki, hop over to the International Marketplace and grab one here. Prices are about the same as Dole Plantation, and they also serve the vanilla/pineapple swirl. There are of course other things to get while at Island Freeze that are notable but their main attraction is Dole whip! A small for me isn’t enough really so I usually get the larger sizes. I believe they also put in pineapple chunks or put Dole whip into shaved ice too there. Definitely an oasis in the hot Hawaiian summer sun! 100 Reviews, 1 Day 68⁄100 January 12, 2013

Where else are you going to get a Dole whip outside of the plantation? This is it – inside the International Market Place at Island Freeze. This is the only other place on the island I know of where you can find the soft serve frozen goodness. With or without the pineapple topping, the Dole whip is the next best thing, right after shave ice of course. Almost forgot to mention… come prepared, it’s cash only!

This stand is located in the food court of the International Market Place(just across Outrigger Waikiki). On my first visit, I got the hawaiian style shave ice with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at the bottom and orange, mango, and strawberry flavored syrup on top($ 6.50). It was a pretty interesting dessert. It’s not something I’d crave for again and again, but something worth trying nonetheless. On my second visit, i opted for a small Dole Whip, a non-dairy soft-serve treat($ 3.50). Upon the recommendation of the lady behind the counter, I went for the pineapple orange twist. It was creamy and yummy. I like that it wasn’t too sweet. On my third visit, I got the pineapple mango twist. It was just as creamy and yummy, but the mango flavor wasn’t that pronounced(which was a shame!). I still enjoyed it anyway :) Btw, cash only!

It’s in the International Marketplace food court. The Island Freeze is a frozen coconut pineapple whip, $ 5.50 for a 12-oz. glass. My Lady preferred a whipped mango and pineapple drink, with no ice, also $ 5.50. It’s a good place to rest in the shade and watch the people in the marketplace. The stall operators are just as entertaining as the customers.

Great quick little spot to stop and get a cool and refreshing Shave Ice. The girl who was working there was very friendly. It was cool to watch her make the shave ice. You get three flavors on the shave ice. They have a wide variety to pick from. You can also get the deluxe version with ice cream underneath. I also noticed some people leaving with what looked like huge ice cream sundaes. There are a variety of different things you can get including smoothies. Conveniently located in the international market place food court. CASHONLY.
