What an über fun night! We were separated into groups of three and pitted to fight one another for the sheer amusement of our Unilocal Intern-Lord, Thomas O. I loved the friendly competition, although at one point, I will admit that I got lazy and let my friend, Steve, do all of the battling towards the end while my girlfriend, Amy, and I sipped martinis and counted our tokens. Why work hard when you can have your own Steve to do it for you? The four stars is for the event alone, though. Bambu II is not my favorite place to get drinks and I did feel kind of screwed over by the bartender because she failed to tell us that our martinis were not part of the $ 3.50 deal. Maybe I’ve just been lucky, but this has been the only bar that wasn’t up front about what their happy hour entails. Nevertheless, if Thomas O. brings back another fun event to Bambu II, I will definitely be there with Steve so that he can put my game face on.

I didn’t get to hang out as long as I would have liked, but for his first IYE(Intern Unilocal Event) Thomas O had a fantastic turnout! Fact or Crap trivia, martinis and free pizza? Now that’s my idea of a good time! I know that some of you hesitate to come out for Unilocal events because you’re shy or have yet to pencil them into your day planner, but what if the Mayans were right and this is the last year of life on Earth?! When the last seconds of your life flash before you, don’t you want them to be filled with Unilocaly memories? Or do you want to spend those last moments filled with regret that you never shared a cocktail with your Unilocal friends? Yes, I know, this is getting deep… Congrats Thomas on an awesome IYE and I foresee a lot of game nights in your future… Unilocal 365 Challenge: #133/365(The Intern Unilocal Event)

My very first Unilocal event and it was no other than my friend Thomas O who hosted it AND it happened to be at one of my favorite bars. Whoop! Of course I had to be there. I dragged my boyfriend a long and together with the other Unilocalers we played two rounds of fact or crap. A fun game indeed! More useless facts that I can randomly tell people. Awesome! The martinis at bambu are always good. The pizza from JJ Dolan’s need no words. I loved the game night idea and hope that there will be more to come. And that’s a fact!

@YelpHawaii, FACTORCRAP… Although he had a couple days of planning and all afternoon to read the directions, Thomas O. still can’t figure out how to play, Fact or Crap? I don’t make it any secret that I highly dislike BambuTwo… it’s an insult to all bars and cafes and… Martini lounges. But leave it to our fearless leaders, Thomas O and Emi to get me coming back to that place, over and over again. Truly its the group that I love, the interaction among Unilocalers and… even the ones that confuse me for Thomas O. No, I’m not(nor have ever been) the intern. …yet… This event was great. hanging out with fellow reviewers, meeting them and rearranging furniture like we own the joint was a blast. I laughed, I cried, I learned and loved.. well, maybe not loved, but I definitely bonded with Grant and Joe, and we failed at playing Fact or Crap. Next time, we need Monopoly, then the true competition begins. By the way — CRAP!: Thomas O doesn’t know CRAP about playing Fact or Crap — and that’s a FACT!

Unilocal Challenge 365 # 97⁄365 Unilocal Intern Thomas O had a great idea with this Fact or Crap game. He was able to round up about 15 – 20 Unilocalers who got into the fact, got into the crap and definitely got into the martinis. I on the other hand sat outside the arena, sipped my martini and made it an early evening but not without a short aloha to Thomas O and a quick chat with gracious Emi H. Board games are a great idea and a great ice breaker for the Unilocalers who are new to the circle! Great job Thomas

Please refer to «That Guy» Joe W. eating the last slice of heavenly JJ Dolan’s pizza. Esteban, Joe and I are not very good at fact or crap. In FACT, Thomas O. the inquisitor and Fact/Crap Nazi didn’t even bother to ask how many points we had(no it wasn’t that low). NOPOINTSFORUS. I had the kamikaze martini– a citrusy, sweet tasting martini. Luckily I was able to salvage my last shred of dignity by avoiding ordering a girly colored drinky drink. Anyways, while we devoured some fantastic JJ Dolan’s pizza, we were wowed by the talented Emi H. performing hits like: Apologize Hallelujah Dear Prudence If I Were a Boy and many more awesome covers! Fantastic job Emi! woop woop!(now, SENIOR community manager!)

A fantastic first-ever fun-filled Intern Unilocal Event hosted by none other than Thomas O. There were facts… there was crap… there were martinis. And to serenade our get-together was none other than Emi H! It was great meeting all that came, devouring JJ Dolans Pizza, and throwing back $ 3 martinis at Bambutwo. My tummy is filled, my wallet is happy, and I’m thinking this is how every Thursday night should be!
