The servers are friendly and pleasant enough, but no one seems to listen when placing orders in the drive-​through. Why is that? It is best you check your order before driving away, lest you don’t mind driving back to get what’s missing from your order the same day or the next…
Enjoyed the large portobello mushroom burger with bacon combo and it was good. It was a little oily, but delicious just the same! Not healthy food, but tasty and filling in a pinch!

Picked up a chicken sandwich large curly fries and egg rolls… My curly fries weren’t even warm they were totally cold! My egg rolls which normally are HOT were barely Luke warm! Guess I can’t expect much from a fast food joint!

Jack In the Box is one of those fast food places that promises the customer that they «won’t make it till you order it.» It’s great that they do this, since it gives the impression of genuine taste and quality.
I was here more than a few times when I learned that Jack In the Box did a free 2 taco deal when you buy something and it was on the receipt. So, what was just a random food option choice during the work week turned out to be 5 consecutive days worth of Jack In the Box to redeem all these free 2 taco deals. The catch was that you’d need to take an online survey and write down the confirmation code. Free tacos sounded really good, so a couple of co-​workers and I were going here for a good many days till we decided not to come back — at least not till later. Still, this Jack In the Box location is quite hidden and I didn’t know this place was here up until 1 year ago — early 2014. The overall experience here is as simple and quick as any fast food restaurant would be.
The best part of dining in here — like some fast food restaurants is the free soda refill, it you dine in the restaurant, but you would have to ask them for a refill and take the lid off, since they won’t do it for you. I prefer Jack In the Box burgers and fries for their different texture, taste, and quality, almost like any burger restaurant, versus McDonalds and Burger King. The fries are more crisp and the burger is more mouthwatering than the other guys. Still, you get what you pay for, since Jack in the Box food is quite pricey, but the sacrifice is well worth the trip. This Jack in the Box restaurant is located in the cozy confines of Kalihi valley, next to Kuhio Park Terrace. You wouldn’t believe it was here since it was a residential area, but it is, serving the needs of the community. They accept credit cards, so that’s always a plus. They’re kind of pricey, but affordable if you like good taste and quality. For me, it’s an alternative to traditional fast food fare that is close to my workplace in Kalihi.
For me, it’s usually the value menu that attracts me and I load up with tacos, since they’re dirt cheap. Although I would recommend the burger combos for their uniqueness, the seasoned curly French fries is what sets Jack in the Box apart. Those seasoned curly Fries are the Bomb, but the cost $ 3 for a large order. Kind of crazy pricing, but it is what it is. The breakfast menu is always served all day and I am thrilled about the ice cream shakes, since it’s made with real ice cream and it takes a while to suck up and guzzle down to soothe one’s appetite. Whatever you decide on having on any given day, you might want to check out Jack in the Box here in Kalihi or Oahu wide. The restaurants are relatively clean and most of the time quiet during the post lunch rush, so do yourself a favor and take a late lunch to enjoy your food in quietness — if you prefer. The staff here is quite friendly and they give you a smile to make the work day more pleasant. At least that’s what I think.
I do like the jack in the box commercials though. It makes me laugh. Quite inventive and creative.

For a fast food restaurant, in this location I was extremely satisfied.
Curly fries were nice, hot, and crispy. Hashbrown was the same
the tacos were filled the most I’ve ever seen from aby jacks.
the lettuce crunchy, meat was packed in and topped with sauce
you know we had to get buttermilk
$ 0.24 for one (yikes)
the Portuguese sausage platter was okay. Rice was a tinted yellow but the eggs were scrambled and fluffy.
there’s just something different about the sausage that just makes the flavor compliment the dish. it’s a more sweet rounder taste rather than the typical spiced kind.
the highlight of the meal was the new garlic butter burger
bun was nice and soft,
the patty cooked perfectly, fully cooked yet tender and juicy
the plus, was the fresh lettuce and moist tomato, and the sauce and cheese just the right touch to complete the meal

It’s fast food, what more can I say. We all know its not healthy but hey, it tastes good, cheap, and fast! Drive thru, nothing unsanitary in bag, got my order and everything correct inside and did I mention it was good??? Five stars to this Jack in the box.

I love jack in the box. But this one was amazing. Why? Because even thought kept changing the order the worker was patient with me. I didn’t get any attitude. And I’m a picky eater when it comes down to food.

Currently at the drive through… They don’t have any milk shakes available at this hour :(Whoever is taking the order should honestly speak a little clearer because I couldn’t understand much that came out of her mouth.

After dropping off a co-​worker in Kalihi, the JITB on School street was on the way to the freeway so I made a pit stop before going home.
It must have been around 11ish at night when I got there. No line at all! The ordering process was quick and accurate, the payment and delivery of food was quick.
What else can you ask for?

Thanks for treating my mom and my dad nicely. I appreciate that, but I’m only upgrading my rating from two stars to three stars because I wasn’t there.

This Jack’s is like any other that I’ve been to. I don’t have any particular expectations than just to get my order correct, in a reasonable amount of time, and they did just that!
Drove in about 8 PM and the line was near full. I hadn’t eaten from a fast food joint for weeks! Anywho, I was craving the seasonal shakes (Pumpkin and Eggnog), so I just had to go. Got carried away with my order like I normally do.

A woman greeted me and placed my order correctly on the screen. It was about another 5 minutes before I was at the window, because there were 3 cars ahead. When I got here, they made my drinks and fries fresh, and I was out!

Drive-​thrus are so convenient. There’s no need to get out of the car, especially when you have somewhere else to be, like at work.
On weekdays when i dont have a chance to prepare breakfast the night before, I make a stop at Jack in the box. I can’t go a day without eating breakfast, especially during a long day at work. And because breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
I am definitely not a morning person and I do get very grumpy in the morning so it’s really nice to have cheerful and energetic workers taking your order.
I usually order the Portuguese and eggs breakfast platter. I like to eat it with buttermilk and ketchup. Normally, other places charge for buttermilk but whenever I go to this place, i don’t have to worry about looking through my wallet for spare change since I like to use my debit card.
If you feel like eating breakfast food for lunch or dinner, go to your nearest Jack in Box location since they serve breakfast menu throughout the day. They don’t make it till you order it!!!

Surprised no one has reviewed this location. This is a review for the morning weekday crew of this location. Everyday before I drop my wife off for work we usually stop at this location to pickup breakfast for her. Everytime the ladies here are so cheerful and pleasant, no grumpy attitude even though it is so early in the morning. The orders are always correct (though you should always check). Be aware that at certain times the drive thru can get super crowded.
