I love Koko for their daily breakfast. My favorite things are the self-serve waffles with coconut syrup and macadamia nuts, and apparently I’m not the only one with this obsession! Also the papaya, and pineapple are delicious. These are really the only things I care about, but there is a huge selection of items in their buffet. You can get oatmeal, cereal, eggs, bacon, cheese blintzes, chef-prepared omelets, and more. The regular adult price it is 14.95. If you can get a seat on the lanai it is a lovely view of the gardens and Waikiki beach. The best thing about this restaurant, and the others at the Hale Koa, is that if you don’t want to leave the resort while on vacation, you don’t have to! Now, don’t get me wrong, we love exploring, but who doesn’t enjoy a lazy day where all you do is lay by the pool, shuffle to the beach, shower, change, and go to the nearest restaurant. Am I right?! When you can start your day off by walking the minimal amount of steps to get delicious food in your belly and you’re only steps from the beach you know it’s going to be a great day!

All you can eat snow crab legs. prime rib. char siu duck. mahi mahi. clams. chicken oscar, and poke. not to mention the salad bar, home made ice cream bar, desserts for days. Is it the best buffet I’ve ever had? No. But it was definitely way better than I was expecting. PS You need to be military or have a sponsor, this restaurant is located inside the Hale Koa hotel, which had zero parking in their parking structure tonight.

If you can show a military ID or a Hale Koa room key, you’re in! Koko at Kalia is one of the best breakfast buffets we’ve been to in Oahu. I think it’s a great value for the $ 14.95/Adult price(or less depending on rank or age) and its location offers convenience for hotel guests and a fantastic view of Waikiki beach. There’s something for everyone! The most popular choices are the omelet station, waffle station, and fresh fruit(papaya, pineapple, watermelon, cantaloupe, and honeydew). But there’s definitely a lot going on in the center, like fried rice, good olé tater tots, eggs benedict, bread pudding, bacon, sausage patties, bacon, soft scrambled eggs, and more bacon. Hehe, everything’s better with bacon! Yes, there’s the healthier options too, like roasted veggies and baked sweet potato potatoes. Along the side you’ll find oatmeal(so yummy!), breads, yogurt, fruit juices and all the toppings and fixins you need to make your breakfast just they way you want. The servers are always friendly and pleasant. They’re happy to provide coffee, hot chocolate, ice water, and refills. If you need Tabasco, Shriracha, or ketchup, you got it! Empty plates are always picked up promptly, so you don’t have to worry about creating more space for your next plate. ;-) The restaurant itself can accommodate a large number of patrons without it feeling too stuffy. There’s lanai seating and a spacious indoor dining area with tables and booths. A lot of natural lighting and the temperature is just right! I appreciate the cleanliness, too. Lots of tourists, but that’s without saying. Koko at Kalia is really a great choice for locals, especially if you have friends & family in town with big appetites. Parking is just across the street in the structure. Don’t forget to validate!

We actually had the breakfast buffet twice. You can’t beat the military pricing and for seniors it’s even cheaper at 12.95 versus 15.95. This includes an omelette station, fruits, meats, eggs, pastries and my absolute favorite… macadamia nut waffles with coconut syrup. You have to be military or retired or civil service to dine here. Due to rain, we opted to not walk down the boardwalk for dinner and tried the seafood buffet at 29.95. I thought it was reasonably priced and thankfully not too crowded. The prime rib was the only disappointment but that was ok as I was gorging on crablegs, shrimp, mussels and poke.

The Hale Koa doesn’t have a good selection of restaurants, or at least good enough to recommend people to come here. If you are a guest, then the restaurants are just adequate. There are so many local establishments that you really need to try them. Just use Unilocal to help you. Any local(not the hotel) can give you good advice too. Meanwhile, this place just serves breakfast. This place has no menus. Just a good old buffet. As far as buffet goes the selection is good, with cook to order omelettes and make your own waffles. Some local fruits(like papaya and guava) can be found as well.

When we arrived on island we stayed at the Hale Koa this place was our breakfast spot. This is our first time back in over a year. Not much has changed as far as cosmetics. They only offer buffet style food. For $ 15 I’d expect a better quality. It filled our stomachs but wasn’t too impressive. The fruit was really good, and the staff was very friendly. I’m sure we’ll eat here again at some point.

Had breakfast here. Was an all you could eat with a decent variety. Thought price was fine. Can’t remember the age for the kids eating free of the top of my head but our 3 yr old ate free. I’d give it a 3.5−3.75 if I could, rounded up because it’s definitely not a 3.

Ummm I’m really surprised at all the 5 star reviews. The food is beyond disgusting! My husband and I came here for breakfast and everything we tried was gross. My husband compared the food to a military chow hall. The scrambled eggs were watery, the bacon tasted like it was cooked in the microwave, even the fruit didn’t taste fresh. Literally nothing was edible there. The only people who seem to be enjoying the food were the senior citizens who have no taste buds. After our meal I had to take some nausea medicine to keep me from throwing up. Both my husband and I have been having nonstop diarrhea and his gas was so bad I was forced to kick him it of room. We were on our honeymoon and now we’re getting a divorce bc his I just can’t with his gas. Our service was great though!

Delicious breakfast food! 2 of us came and it costed $ 30. You have to be staying at the hotel to eat here. Try the chocolate covered pastry, it’s amazing!

Yes, it is an «all you can eat» buffet. Still, it is a neat, clean place. The staff is highly efficient. The selection of food is broad and appetizing. Unlike some other buffets I have actually found stuff that is worthwhile eating. Which works out since I didn’t feel like trying to travel anywhere to have breakfast.

Only for military personnel. They should really make this clear. The lady at the front desk was also fairly abrupt, which is to say rude, and seemed amazed that we wouldn’t have already known it was only for military.

Breakfast buffet is great. Each morning it alters enough to keep it interesting. Very friendly staff makes eating a pleasure. Omelette line is a little long but we never ran out of coffee. Senior discount puts this in 5 stars. Military or Hale Koa guests only.

I really love this place! Located inside the Hale Koa Hotel, this used to be Koko’s. They remodeled, and the place looks classier than ever! There is indoor and outdoor seating, but it’s all covered. There is netting so that you can enjoy the beach view without the annoying birds! I’ve been coming to this place for years, but it’s even nicer than before! The wait staff is ridiculously friendly, helpful, and go above and beyond. This morning, Ronald served us, and he was super awesome. It’s cool, breezy but not windy, and just the perfect ambiance. They play hawaiian music, but not too loud. And, they are patient. I’ve been sitting here for 1.5 hours, and I don’t feel rushed at all. The food is great for tourists, and gives a nice taste of the islands. I’d recommend the breakfast buffet. They have ensemadas, which I love! They have an omelette station, eggs, bacon, sausage, and some other fun stuff like benedicts. They also have the normal stuff that a continental breakfast would have, such as pastries, juice, and cereal. The coffee is okay, and keeps on coming! That makes me happy. :-). You have to be with a military member or hotel guest to eat here, but it really is fun, so I would do it if you have the chance. Everything seems fresh and tasty, and it’s a great way to start your vacation day! I recommend!
