Confessions of a Transgressive Unilocaler My confessions are both bad… and good. I’m happy to report to you, the smart reader, that Kokua(which means: extending loving or help) In Kind is on the good side. I’ll explain why later. Also, I have a surprise confession at the end of the review that you need to see and a question for you as well. Bad confession number 1: At work, I act like a healthy eating person, but as soon as I punch out. I turn into this unhealthy eating monster. My car spends more time in a drive-thru than in my driveway. Bad confession number 2: After the sun goes down, sometimes I go out and foolishly waste my money when I should be using that money to help out my family. Bad confession number 3: My car is near life’s end, so I need a new car. Before getting into my good confessions, I want to say that I feel bad, and I want to redeem myself by doing good. The only way is through action. Because as they say – the proof of the pudding is in the eating. Good confession number 1: I want to thank two people. First, my off-line friend Randy. Second, my on-line friend passionate Unilocaler Nicole A., Mililani’s donation queen, if you will. Both of whom influenced me into donating my car, so thanks for opening my mind further. Good confession number 2: After filling out Kokua In KInd’s short online donation form, I got a call from them that day! They’re awesome, just awesome. On the phone, they asked me some other questions regarding the car and were polite. Good confession number 3: Kokua in Kind is a fast, simple, and zero hassle way of donating a car. They even have FREETOWING. In addition, they have various charities to choose from. I recommend Kokua in Kind if you don’t like meeting and dealing with strangers and want to give to your favorite charity. The surprise confession: I talked to Kokua In KInd three times. Surprisingly, the first and second time I talked to them; they didn’t thank me for my donation, so I knocked off 2 stars. Only the third time when I delivered the car to Kokua in Kind I got a thank you. My question to you is: Am I being too harsh with the star deductions? Because I found it weird that they never thanked me for my donation the first and second time I talked to them. My car was still running and worth $ 1000 when I donated it.
