This is a review based only on the common grounds. I used to go to school with some people that lived in nearby Honolulu Tower but never Kukui Plaza. This building has been here forever since the 80s! Right down the street from Central Intermediate, where I attended back in the day and it was all a blur when I when to school there, cause the classes were super boring… except for the one time some guy who thought he was badass tried to start beef with one of my classmates and the next day her Puerto Rican mama came in super angry-habuts in our classroom and told this guy off, telling this kid, ‘You’re still wet behind the ears, blah blah…’ Gotta love the wisdom of mamas… life before the internet and videos, wow… I recently got invited to a bbq here so why not review it, right? Proof of pics included… As a visitor, I found the grounds to be well-kept and clean, lush plants, etc… so pretty! It is spacious and such a cute lil’ oasis in the middle of downtown Honolulu. Lots of places to sit, lots of space to roam and play games. Large size pool and well-kept public bathroom. From the pool area, when you look south, there’s a peek-a-boo view of Honolulu Harbor. I loved the privacy of this place. Of course a rainbow faintly showed up in the distance and made me even more homesick. Damn you rainbow! Once you step outside of here, it can be scary. It’s always been that way when I grew up near here. Downtown Honolulu looks like a ghost town on Sundays. As are most downtowns I’ve visited… I always remembered the bums, the homeless, etc roaming around near here. what else is new? Watch your back and be aware of your surroundings. Definitely can’t wait to visit again!

Évaluation du lieu : 4 Honolulu, HI
I lived here for 4 years. The building is right behind Pali Longs Drugs. It is a great location within walking distance of downtown, Aloha Tower, Chinatown, and Restaurant Row. The building itself is nice. There is a nice garden between the two towers which has BBQ areas, pool, golf cage and walking path. It is a secured building and registered residents have key cards for the elevators and parking garages. The walls are all cement so it is very quiet. I barely ever heard my neighbors and it was only when the windows were open. Some issues, the elevators can be somewhat a task. The key card reader does not always work the best and if an elevator is shut down for repairs it gets really slow as the stairway only allows you to exit to the street. They might have fixed the issue with the elevators since I moved out a few months ago.
