I knew we were booking a less expensive property further from the beach(closer to the canal) but this place was a dump. The décor must be 30 years old and the unit is very cramped. The TV is in the bedroom because there’s no room for one in the living room. We had small bugs crawling all over the kitchen sink and counters. We were on the 26th floor and spent a LOT of time waiting for the elevators. One was not in use while we were there and the other two went out twice while there so we had to walk to another side of the building and use an elevator that got us tot he 17th floor and then had to walk up 9 floors. Not a great experience generally. Then, and I just noticed the other review on this property, we got charged $ 175 for a late check-out. We were traveling with another couple and they were in the same building but in a unit under different management. Their check-out time was 11am so I wasn’t paying attention and we were late. No argument, our contract said 10am — mea culpa. However, I can tell you that we did not delay the cleaning people from their work, they’d have had plenty of other rooms to start with and for darn sure, you can bet that Marriott would not have stuck it to us like that. Customer Service doesn’t even get one start — the one star was for being in Hawaii… that’s all this place had going for it. Never again!

UGH! After a great time in Hawaii I came home to find a $ 150 charge on my credit card from this timeshare. They are claiming that we checked out 1 hour late(11 a. m instead of 10 a.m.). Jackie, the mgr.& Jason, the asst. mgr. were in the office when we returned the keys & beachmats/towels. We all said Aloha and neither of them mentioned a charge. When I called to dispute it… the sleaziness began. I’ve called 3 times… Jackie told me I have to talk to Jason but he never called me back. Today I reached him and he said that Jackie makes those decisions and she hasn’t called me back… The room was empty at 7 a. m…We had already moved to the Pacific Beach Hotel(WOW) & housekeeping had gone in the room so they knew we were out. This was July 26, 2014. After 25 years of using timeshare I’ve never experienced such poor customer service!
