Manny’s Huli Huli Chicken

Garlic Shrimp meal is the best — better than anything I had in Waikiki. Huge portion, tasted garlic for days! Worth the $ 14. Even the strange cook or came by our table to discuss the «sleeping grass» was great. It could be that I just love Hawaii and all of its local color.

This place is terrible for a number of reasons: (the last is the kicker, so read it all)
1) Went down today and waited for 50 minutes for two whole chickens.
2) Staff is not that friendly…
3) Staff is definitely NOT efficient… i don’t want to make stereotypical comments here, but they do apply…
4) When we cut the chicken to serve at home, they were BLOODY. Had to zap it in the microwave for a few minutes to finish cooking. Terrible…
You can get better chicken at other places around town (the one by Ward is onolicious!!!)
I use Unilocal often to find good food but never wrote a review. I registered an account today just to write this review because I feel so strongly about my experience with Manny’s Huli Chicken … they should NOT stay in business.

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Oahu. We randomly past this stop and thought we would try it out. WOW this was some of the best chicken I had ever had. Now I crave it every day stuck here in new jersey. I created a Facebook Fan page for Manny’s here

The chicken is legit SON!!! That’s all I really have to say. It’s not a sit down and eat kind of place though so I suggest you just take it back home or somewhere else to eat.

Yum. got me with the smell.
BBQ chicken and rice. Probably the least bad for us food we will eat all vacation.

Ok So, I am Walking Down Nimitz — Saturday and Sunday Huli Huli Chicken is set up. I ordered ½ chicken and the Grilled Yellow Peepers, Mushrooms and Red Peppers with a few pieces of steak in the vegetables. Anyway, The Food was Ono half chicken for $ 4.00 (average weight 2.5 lbs) and some grilled vegetables for total of $ 7.00. It tasted good and I saw the Quat Sanitizer standing by. I was the First person ever to order the grilled Vegetables. — They were good. You have to try the chicken. Why 2 ½ pound chickens? (because they cook faster and you can make sure they are 165 degrees prior to taking them off the coals without charing the outside). They are only open on Saturday and Sundays.
