These are the most beautiful aloha shirts anywhere. They’re rayon, not cotton, so they drape perfectly but do need a little more care than just throwing them in the washer & dryer. They release new patterns seasonally, I think, so there is always something new that’s even better than the last. Wonderful staff as well. I got two just a few weeks ago, and I’m already looking at the website to see the new ones. The shop is a little tricky to find, behind Kalakaua Ave and King Street, across from a school, but it’s worth the adventure.

Five shiny stars for Manuhealii. This Hawaiian designer has been an icon in the Hawaiian Aloha wear industry in Hawaii. I took my mom here to go shopping for her birthday gift and she was treated like royalty. All of the ladies who worked here gave her such great special attention and was there to encourage her every selection! Beautiful designs, contemporary styles, hanapa’a! Mahalo for a great shopping experience. I’ve been a fan for over 20 years!!! Maika’i Loa!

Very disappointed. I’ve lived here my entire life and wanted to FINALLY get my first Manuheali’i top or dress from here, as well as a matching one for my boyfriend. I was extremely disappointed! First, staff was not welcoming at all. Second, they probably gave me dirty looks because I walked in wearing shoes, shorts, and a t-shirt, aka, not girly. Third, no one helped me probably because I’m young! The styles, choices, and fit for a lot of the clothing there was awkward and they did not have my size. Not like I could ask either because I was basically given the cold shoulder. I swear, the staff asked those around me if they were okay or needed help and ignored me. I walked from the convention center to this location and walked away with nothing! I was set to buy at least one dress for me and a shirt for my boyfriend but after that visit and service… NO! Just because I’m young, doesn’t mean I’m broke! #IDontLikeBeingTreatedThatWay

Kinda bummed … I have a vintage dress where I’m missing buttons and I can’t find any to replace them with. These dresses cost a lot of $$ and now this one has to sit in the closet until I can figure a way to replace them. Someone at the store told me that they make their own… I can find that size anywhere … So I’m $hit outta luck! Suggest you guys have little packets to purchase in the stores!!! I don’t mind paying!!!

BEAUTIFUL and elegant Hawaiian wear for women and men. I’m usually a size medium but I fit a XS there. I bought my husband an aloha shirt and myself a mu’umu’u. I enjoy and love supporting local businesses. My only complaint is the price$. Hopefully the company can expand to the Pacific Northwest! Would love to have them closer to where we live!

This is the go-to place for locals to get their aloha attire spending on. They come out with different collections every couple months, so the prints and styles will depend on which collection is being sold at the time you go. They just came out with a new collection TODAY, which means they have a bit more variety since the older collections haven’t sold out. However, it seems like they sell until they sell out, so if you like an older collection and they don’t have your size, you’re out of luck. The collections themselves are all beautiful, all the time. They’re colorful and subtle«hawaiian» prints. The styles include basic styles to more modern cuts. In general, it’s a more boxy, so pretty much everyone looks good. They also kind of specialize in women’s’ clothing, but they also carry men’s shirts and children’s attire. This location compared to the kailua location has more selection and it might be just a tad bit bigger. Parking is definitely an issue here, rather than at the kailua location though. The sales people here are nice and welcoming. The«fitting rooms» are a tad bit revealing. I wasn’t very comfortable stripping down when the curtain that separates the rooms was a little see through in one area. And you’re gonna wanna try on these dresses before you buy them. They’re a bit of an investment.

I love how welcoming every staff at Manuheali’i is when you’re in this store. They are so helpful and it seems like they really enjoy sharing information and knowledge about the original print designs and the clothing styles. I like that they can provide guidance when choosing the right outfit for you! And lastly, love that this is a local company and with so many options, its easy to find something just right for you!

Bright and airy and welcoming shop on Punahou Street with their own parking lot, below King Street, just past Jack-in-the-Box, across from Washington Middle School. Frustrating that sizes run out so quickly with the release of a new design. Still, I go down and hope to find what I want/need. Some of the designs are really intricate in great colors. Some designs are not truly Hawaiian, but vibrant and exciting nonetheless! Need more sizes readily available in stock!

Frustrated! I have been a customer for some years now. I don’t live in Town or Kailua, therefore the most appealing option is to shop on-line. This would be possible if the availability was there, I don’t hesitate to buy a hundred dollar dress(their loss). Also, what happened to the promotion of family matching? When my daughter was 1(now 11), she had a beautiful baby Manu dress, I don’t see anthing for infants anymore. Time to move on:)

My Hawaiian-at-heart friend loves local Hawaiian wear, so in we all went. THESHOP: It looks like someone’s house, and maybe it was? The inside is nicely & simply decorated. THECLOTHING: The prints are bold and colorful. I think they look great on women, but I personally didn’t care for the guys shirts. To each his own.

This was my first visit to any Manuhealii store. I’ve always wanted to own a piece from here. The lot is very small so if you get lucky you will find a stall but I suggest that you reverse park to get out easier. If not you will have to find street parking. Malia helped us and she was so nice and friendly I felt like I was at one of my friends homes rather than a store. We were greeted by two other associates as well and were very friendly and willing to help and answer any questions that we may have. We ended up with a dress and a matching shirt that we wore to a wedding we attending and people liked the print. I will definitely be back in the future and hope that Malia helps us again.

I have ordered clothing from here via the Internet. The item arrived quickly and was wrapped in colored tissue paper. Some items, colors or sizes may be unavailable if the items are nearing the end of the production limit.
