Mary’s Mediterranean Kitchen has delicious sandwiches. The pita bread alone is great, I buy the pita bread to make my own sandwiches. The bread is even delicious with my other favorite Nutella yum! The only reason I give a 4 outta 5 is the cashier can make use of a better personality(to stoic for me).

I recently went to Mary’s for a going away work thing. I haven’t been in quite some time. My first impression of Ranch 99(or the building it is now) was that is was just a huge, not clean, warehouse with a bunch of foodcourt type places. For some reason this time around, it seemed a little nicer(am I lowering my standards?!) Not upscale by any means… lol But cleaner or a more organized seating area. Anyway, I got the Italian Style Greek Salad with Hummus. Now, when you order hummus, you get A LOT… like as much as you would get in a store. Way more than you would use in one sitting with two pitas. Its good hummus though, they make it there. The salad was amazing(but to be fair, it is difficult to mess up a salad). I don’t know how they season the chicken on top, but it was darn good. Mary’s is value for your money, you get plenty of food. I’ve had the gyro plate on other visits and it did not disappoint. Parking is pretty easy, and if your friends don’t want Mary’s there are tons of other choices in this big foodcourt style area including a bakery(dessert?).

Fresh, clean and crazy delicious! I ate here about a month ago and am just now reviewing because last night we had really poor – and expensive – Persian food in Albuquerque. We LOVE med food and have enjoyed the real thing in Istanbul and Israel and eat Greek all the time in Denver. All that said, Mary’s was AMAZING. We had a large group but everything was stellar and ready at same time. I have to say the dolmas were the best I have ever had! My daughter lives in Honolulu and is a regular here –with good reason! A Lebanese gentlemen was behind the counter(owner?) overseeing everything.

Loved the lamb & Chicken kabobs! The meat was very tasty and well seasoned. The pita bread is addicting, I could come back just for pita bread! The rice was bland to my taste, it could’ve used a bit more herb in it to add some flavor, but was still edible. Service was very quick and friendly. I will come back again really soon!

Located in the back of 99 Ranch by the fruit stand thing. Nice workers, pretty fast service. I got the gyro plate with extra salad less rice and it was pretty good. Would definitely come back to try other stuff!

Really nice place with mediterranean food. I had chicken Shawarma and it was really good. The prices were reasonable, and the owner Orush was really nice. He is Armenian and really knows Mediterranean cuisine. Even the balaclava is baked on premises.

This place has horrible service and the people had major attitude. My dad and I ordered two Gyros meals and they thought we ordered two Gyros plates, which were entirely different, clearly. They should let people know the difference when they order. They gave my dad a hard time which was not his fault, we misunderstood. I guess we have to actually show them what we want to order so they understand, saying it won’t matter. The woman there was giving major attitude, but they eventually changed the order. I won’t ever be returning to this place. Thumbs down.

Still consistent as the owner ensures quality control. Had the beef kabob combo which was grilled perfectly. The rice was ok but everything else was great. Whenever I think of Greek food I definitely go here.

You folks should really take food preparation seriously, I was literally just there to get some baklava to sample before ordering for Easter and after what I saw I’d never go back. I see the guy behind the counter who I assume is the owner(older male in green polo shirt) check the register and touch the money then turn around to start the guys order who was before me and he grabbed the meat out of a plastic container with no gloves and no utensils then as he turns to close the lid that he took meat out of he starts hacking up a lung!!! Smh!!! So gross, sorry to the guy before me that ordered hope you don’t get sick I didn’t see where you went or else I would of told you!!!

Don’t miss this place when checking out the old 99 Ranch market. If you enter from the front, walk in a bit and go right. There are lots of menu options, but luckily there wasn’t a line when we went so we took our time deciding what to order. We decided on: 1. Gyros Value Meal — Gyro wrap, garlic fries, and a drink for $ 10. 2. Falafel plate — 5 hefty falafels, small salad(with ranch dressing), hummus, pita bread The wait is a little long, so we were able to walk over to Bee’s Dessert House and get some smoothies. There’s also a TV that projects(very big) a show on the wall for you to pass the time or have entertainment while you eat. Just keep in mind that the eating area closes at 7:00 pm, so you will be shooed away if you’re not done eating. Yes, I speak from experience when I say this because the custodian told us to leave. Even though Mary’s was supposed to close at 7:00 pm, they closed before that… I guess because there weren’t many customers around. I’m not much of a red meat eater, but I loved the gyro wrap. The meat was so soft! It is a little messy to eat, as the ingredients have a tendency to fall out as you eat the wrap. Just be careful and eat over the wrapper so it doesn’t get everywhere. Have extra napkins on hand! The falafels were very tasty. They were slightly crunchy on the outside. The flavor was very reminiscent of Indian curries… lots of kick. I very much enjoyed eating them and they were quite filling. I usually like pita bread, but this one was just okay. It wasn’t warm or fresh as I read about in other reviews. It felt kind of stale. This could be because we came within the last hour of their business hours, but regardless, I feel like their food should be at the same level throughout the day(unless they give you some kind of discount because they tell you ahead of time that it’s not fresh). I was really looking forward to the garlic fries because they look so delicious in the pictures, but it was just okay to me. They weren’t crunchy like how I like my fries to be when I eat them. The garlic isn’t too overpowering. For less than $ 20(for 2 people), we were stuffed! We wished we could have kept leftovers to take home, but tried to eat as much of it as we could because we weren’t going home right away after dinner. Next time, I will be sure to plan better so that I can either take leftovers home or have something to save leftovers in so I don’t have to feel so stuffed.

Mary’s Mediterranean is located in Ranch 99 in the far back corner by where the stage area is. There’s ample parking available, so finding parking has never been a problem. Mary has a good variety of food options on their menu. I’ve tried the Gyro Sandwich($ 6.54) and Hummus with pita bread($ 6) while my boyfriend has tried the Lamb Suvlaki Sandwich($ 6.54). I love the hummus, but I wish they gave more pita as the proportions are not equivalent to how much hummus you get. But still, I don’t mind having more hummus as the pita is nothing special. The sandwich was good too, but it can get a little messy since there’s a lot of sauce in it. Service is just ok here. The lady working behind the counter didn’t really interact with her customers, nor did she smile once. But although it was just her working, she still managed to bang out our order within 5−10mins while handling other orders before me. Prices are reasonable and the food is good here. But their hours are not the most flexible times as Ranch 99 usually closes at 6/7pm on the weekdays and 2:30pm on the weekends. Although there are better Greek food places on the island, if you’re looking for cheap, fast food Greek, then this place is a great alternative to satisfying your Greek cravings.

Would I come back? Yea. But, not so soon. Mary’s is located in Moanalua 99 Ranch, Stall #8. We decided on Greek since it appeared on the Nearby Recommendations list on Unilocal. For my first visit, unfortunately my dinner choice did not meet my expectations. {Insert sad face here} The stall is decorated with large photos of their plate offerings and prices. The same photos are also duplicated on various walls, and just in case you’re still undecided, there’s a slideshow of their specials playing at eye level. This should make life much easier, but for me it just made it harder to decide! I ended up ordering the #15 Chicken [pita] Sandwich with garlic fries & drink — a value meal for $ 9.17. In addition, a side order of Hummus for $ 6 and 3 pieces of Baklava for $ 5. Between all three choices, there just wasn’t anything special to make me say«Mmm, mmm, mmm.» Nothing unique in the way the chicken was made, the dressings, or hummus. I was hoping for savory, but just got bland. All I kept thinking was how much I could do better in my own kitchen, which is the reason why I gave this review a 3. I could’ve bought the ingredients and prepared a Greek meal myself. But, I didn’t. So, I give them credit for saving me time, preparing my meal, their friendly customer service, and a clean table to sit on.

First time visit and I promise it will not be the last. This place is super good! One of the best Greek places I have had so far. The lamb was very tasty. I also enjoyed the hummus. Another favorite was the pita bread which was served hot and right out of the oven. Can’t wait until our next visit

Located in Ranch 99, Mary’s Mediterranean Kitchen offers a welcome change from the usual choices for lunch/on the go dinners. If you’re not familiar with 99 Ranch, Mary’s is located towards the back away from the more populated area next to Take’s Fish Market. When you enter the market place, instead of veering left towards the majority of your food choices, take a right and you’ll find Mary’s. Mary’s Mediterranean Kitchen offers a wide variety of choices. Their appetizers include dolmades(grape leaves), hummus and baba ganoush, tabbouleh and garlic fries. Those looking for a salad can choose between Greek or Gyro salads, and they often offer a third salad choice as their special of the day(which is in limited quantities). Their sandwich options are the usual choices such as gyros, souvlaki, as well as falafel. If you’re looking for a more substantial meal, they also offer gyro, souvlaki, kebab and other platters all of which are served with a warm pita, hummus and a side salad. Vegetarians also have the option of the veggie plate which comes with falafel, dolmades, tabbouleh and hummus. I have had the gyro sandwich and platter as well as the gyro salad, Greek salad and the chicken souvlaki all of which have been delicious. The warm pita bread that they serve with their salads and platters is also phenomenal and leaves you wishing you had remembered to order an extra one before leaving the premises. The hummus that comes with the platters is smooth and creamy and a great addition to the meal and a welcome treat. The staff is always pleasant and the service is always fast and efficient. Cash and credit cards are accepted which is good since I rarely carry cash on me. I don’t often find myself craving this kind of food, but when I do, this is where I go to satiate my craving.

I decided to just have some tabouleh and the amount I got was dismal for $ 6.00. I’ve had it at another establishment and there was more wheat than greens. I cannot believe it! Oh well it goes into the memory bank as a «don’t do it again» cause it was not what I expected.

I’ve eaten here many times and have never been disappointed by the food or the service. The gyros are fabulous but I’m gluten sensitive so I started getting the gyro salad. Lots of meat and the dressing is delicious! Goes great with an order of their garlic fries.

The Chicken shawarma here is the bomb! It comes with curry chicken, yellow pilaf rice, salad, hummus and pita bread with yogurt sauce. This plate was able to feed me for both lunch and dinner! They also have yummy Gyros here too. This place is a hidden gem all the way in the back end of the Moanalua 99 which is the old 99 Ranch.

Mary’s Mediterranean Kitchen never disappoints! I am a creature of habit and always get the gyro salad. It comes with two dressing types — a tzatziki and a vinaigrette. I prefer the latter. The thin slices of gyro meat is delicious and I always ask for extra slices of raw onions(don’t think raw agressive onion slices that punch you in the mouth from other places — their onion slices are always delightful). Throw in some tomato slices, feta crumbles all on a bed of fresh romaine… droool! It also comes with warm pita bread — mmmmm, carbs! And on a cheat day… I always-always get a side of garlic fries(they’re worth it) sprinkled with garlic salt… oh and I don’t share… not on cheat days!

When I’m feeling Greek-y(haha), Mary’s is my go-to spot. Located in the corner of Moanalua 99, you’ll usually find a line of peeps waiting to order gyros, falafels, baklava, pitas, you name it. If it’s Greek, they’ve got it. I usually get the gyro for $ 6.85(that’s with tax included)…but if I want a little more, I’ll make it a combo and add fries(garlic, if you want) and a drink(water or can of soda or juice). The gyro is pretty fat with lots of meat, lettuce, sauce, and a wee bit of onions. It’s perfect for me and hits the spot for a quick bite to eat. Once I tried the gyro plate and, wow!, that was a lot of food. So if you’ve got a bigger appetite, a plate might be for you… just not for me. Customer service is not their thing, but, hey, it’s takeout. Parking is hit or miss outside. I like to call in my order ahead of time since I know what I want and helps me skip the waiting time. But waiting isn’t bad because you can wander over to Watanabe Bakery for some cute, delish treats, or grab some mochi from Kansai Yamato, or check out the tiny farmer’s market-type place. If you need, there’s a restroom down the hall to the right of Mary’s — but let me forewarn you, it’s pretty stinky down there(#loseyourappetitefast). I haven’t been adventurous and tried anything else, but I know I should. It’s all Greek to me, if you know what I mean. In any case, I know you can’t go wrong with the gyro! Opa!

I’ve been to Mary’s several times because of its location. It’s the closest mediterranean food to where I work. Atmosphere: It’s in the Ranch 99 plaza on the right side after you enter. There is plenty of open seating available. Restaurant counter is pretty much the extent that is decorated. Bare bones set up for a food vendor. Service: Good service. Usually gets a little behind during lunch but expected. Mary works back in the kitchen so you don’t really get to meet her, I asked. Food: Okay mediterranean food. I ordered the mixed plate and garlic fries today. The meats are cooked well but the rice was undercooked and under seasoned. The garlic fries were good, a little heavy with the salt though. Overall would come here again for mediterranean.
