I don’t know why this McDonalds has such bad reviews, but I’m happy to give it a 4 stars! It is the nicest, cleanest McDonalds I’ve ever been to. and the service was pretty fast. I would go here again and that says a lot because rarely do I ever eat fast food. In comparison to the ones in SF, their mcchickens are definitely a lot bigger and look more like the pictures they show on TV or on their menu. They were plump and actually looked nice. One thing I do remember is that they don’t have sweet tea, even though it clearly said it on the menu. I remember I tried to order it and the cashier said they didn’t sell that here. But I was like why was it on the menu then? And I guess she let her manager know and hopefully by now they took that off the menu since they don’t serve it. What’s so special about the McDonalds in Hawaii is that they serve spam and eggs for breakfast, but I unfortunately didn’t try it! Must’ve been good cus spam is always good.

Breakfast all day, my a$$. Only a LIMITED breakfast menu is available after normal breakfast hours are over. No breakfast platters, what the hell? I guess McDonald’s does things only half-a$$.

I couldn’t find a way to message the management at this location. I would have rather done that than post this negative review. The Coke I ordered this AM tasted like what we used to call when I was in Boy Scouts a «suicide» as it was a mix of various sodas at the fountain. That’s what my Coke tasted like this AM. It was awful! LOL. If I were still in Boy Scouts, I would have been stoked. But I’m an old man now. One thing I used to count on as an adult– a good fountain soda drink from Mics. Not anymore. Not this location anyway. No problem. Plenny other good Mics on island. I wrote the review bc I’m pissed. The Siucide from Mics ruined my fish sandwich experience. It was drive thru and I’m long gone. C ya.

My experiences are primarily with the drive-thru. If you ever want to test the amount of patience you have, use the drive-thru at this MD location. We all know that there are 2 ordering lanes which merge as you near the windows. On at least 5 occasions, I’ve been passed by other cars who arrived after me because I was asked to «hang on.» For what? So you can serve the car that arrived after me in the other lane. Once, two cars went ahead before the attendant came back on to take my order. Lastly, make sure the attendant is LISTENING to you as you order. The«welcome to MDs, may I take your order?» is a recording. 9 out of 10 times I give my order after the greeting, the attendant asks me to repeat EVERYTHING because he or she wasn’t paying attention. It’s actually quite comical though frustrating. Now, before I begin to order, I ask«are you there?»

Slowest McDonald’s ever the cashier walks so slow and has no emotion. I never seen a McDonald’s worker act like that

Personally — this McDonald’s has never failed me… and I’m here(I’m ashamed to say) at least once a week. I’ve never left unhappy — however I do wish they did have $ 1 any size soft drinks and $ 1 hash browns like the other McDonald’s I usually go to.(Yup — I’m a regular at two McDonald’s). Believe me… if they had a drive-thru Subway — I’d be there instead… but they don’t. I wish they would bring back the coffee promotion too!

This mcdonalds caused me a melt down this morning. I ordered a one dollar sausage mcmuffin but they gave me a sausage mcpancake instead. How the hell does someone eat a pancake while driving? I’ll tell you how. How about having the entire pancake force fed to you by an annoyed girlfriend from all my mcdonalds grief! You ruined my ten day Hawaii trip! The catamaran ride was fun though.

French fries are terrible. Oily, limp, small in size and cost too much. Not appetizing too

I went to this location this morning and picked up some breakfast. When I pulled up the window the cashier just stuck her hand on for my payment, didn’t even turn to face me much less say anything… Like my total… After running my card(without looking at me still at this point) hands me my bag the same way. And then my coffee and steps away to leave the window. I had to call her back for cream and sugar. She did not say one word the whole time, or even look at me. Slowwww moving breakfast line and bad customer service.

I see that my experience at the Hawaii Kai Mc Donald’s drive-thru is not unique. Waiting after ordering only to have to place my order again. After ordering, the only communication was when the female at the cashier window stated the price of my order. I don’t expect then to do cartwheels because I bought a cheeseburger but no Hi, bye or thanks. Nothing. Are we scraping the bottom of the workforce barrel? Burger was fine and hit the spot BTW.

Wow, I am not even sure where to begin. Drive up to the drive thru and the lady says hi then ignores our order. After about 45 seconds of trying to see if she can hear us she says what? Ordered a snack sized oreo mcflurry. That’s it. On the screen she adds Orea Mcflurry, Vanilla Cone, and Large drink. After correcting her 2 times she finally got our order right. At the pay window she sits there ignoring us, takes someone else’s order then just reaches over for the money we owe without looking at us. After taking the cash she doesn’t even give us a receipt just mumbles«drive up to the next window» We barely heard her and she didn’t even look at us so we were about to ask for a receipt when she yells, and I mean raised her voice angrily, saying«DRIVEUPTOTHENEXTWINDOW» Once at the pickup window for some reason we were handed a #3 meal. The lady at the pickup apologized and gave us the right order. Unfortunately the woman at the pay window didn’t give us a receipt so I have no clue what her name was as her name tag was not visible. She needs to be fired for her lack of manners and poor service.

I’m a regular drive thru customer. We decided long ago to stop dining in. Tonight we decided to dine in instead of driving to Aina Haina. Big mistake! We waited 10 minutes for the first part of our order. Normally that wouldn’t be too bad except that it was sitting in the tray behind the counter for 5 minutes. Someone finally added the fries and passed it out to us, less my crunchy chicken club sandwich. I was waiting near the counter for my sandwich, but someone brought it to my wife at the table after 17 minutes. It was nice and hot, but my fries were not by then. It was chaos as there were so many people waiting for orders. Would have loved a McFlurry or Dipped Cone but decided it wasn’t worth the effort. I would still use the drive thru for convenience sake, but Aina Haina will get my dine in business. Now if the AH location would stop buffing the floors at dinner time… Customer 267, Aug. 15 ’13(Thu) 20:04 Store# 24790

WORSTMANAGERANDCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER!!! We were regulars here(2 – 3 times a week) and for the most part have no major problems aside from the poor English skills which can be very annoying. But for the first time they made us park on the side because their food wasn’t ready yet, when I came here to get food fast. After waiting 15min no one came. We decided to go inside to get a refund which they were not happy about and the first thing they did was blame us for not parking where they said to. All they said was«over there» pointing in a general direction at HANDICAP stalls, so we parked on the other side and were clearly visible from the drive through window and the only car of that color. On top of that the parking lot was pretty empty meaning they have no excuse. The manager started an argument by blaming us, was bitchy and through her thick accent had no manners whatsoever and even demanded our $ 1 drink back. There were no apologies for our inconvenience. What happened to «the customer is always right»? Their website says: «Our hamburgers are only a product, but our real business is „PEOPLE“. We teach respect, integrity, responsibility and teamwork. A Smile and warm greeting is required.» Bull shit.

It’s McDonald’s. Nothing more or less. Can’t really say that this place is the prime choice for anything nowadays, but with the current state of affairs, more and more people come over here for cheap food. While McDonald’s can be great for your wallet, it usually not good for you — depending on what you order. Service is really average for a fast food joint. Just get in, order, wait for food, and leave with food. Your choice whether or not to eat there or just take it to go. I normally get the 2 breakfast burrito meal w/coffee+ an extra breakfast burrito, which comes out to around $ 5. Pretty good deal, I suppose. Everything is pretty much preportioned at breakfast, as opposed to lunch where everything seems to be much more fat laden and processed foods, especially with the french fries. With that said, McDonald’s can be a go to place for whenever you have a craving for, but shouldn’t be a daily occurrance. But for me, I am trying to get better at trying not to come over here, especially when it comes to not eating breakfast at home. With all that said, McDonald’s is always the go-to place, along with the other hundreds of fast food establishments throughout the country and even the world. For me, I come whenever I have the craving for this kind of food — which tends to be more than normal — as tend to sleep in more and haul ass to work at the last minute. McDonalds and the drive through system is what makes everything work and that model really works virtually anywhere. B–

Unfortunately I must say I am a regular here! I always tried to check in but there was no listing of this place… so there you go! Now all the gramps and grannys can check in and be the Dukes or Dutchesses of Unilocal! LOL $.99 any size drinks and coffee on weekends only! Take advantage due to the limited deals at any mcdonalds! Service is average although I must say it dips a little below due to the non-English speaking drive thru operator. I feel that YES they need training but not during heavy traffic times and all I wanted was BBQ sauce for my nuggets! I don’t know how Sweet and Sour sounds like BBQ… anyways…

it’s common knowledge that McD’s food is not the best, but you come here because it’s cheap or it’s convenient. see pics! ever since McD. moved from koko marina, i have been frequenting this location, mainly for breakfast since nothing else seems to be open for grubbing early in the morning. i usually get the Local Deluxe Platter: 2 slices of spam, 3 slices of portuguese sausage, egg and 2 scoops of rice. the sucky thing is that it’s more expensive than the haole Big Breakfast and it doesn’t come with a drink. Usually McD’s food goes down and stays down well, but i threw it all up yesterday because i was on a boat on rough seas. it was(not) fun to see that i don’t chew my food, since everything was the exact size as I had cut them(half moons of portuguese sausage, etc). only the rice got scattered. the only good thing for my vomit was that i saw a whole school of fish swim up and chase after my barf. mmm. they be lovin’ it.
