First of all, I love Jack In The Box food and I was elated when they took over the old KFC spot close to me in Niu Valley. I’ve been there a bunch of times and have been trying to be patient as they work our the staff and food prep. But it’s been a while now and things should be running as well as the other Hawaii restaurants. But this one still lags. I went there last night for some take out and had to wait around as they messed up peoples’ orders ahead of me, forgetting items or charging for items not ordered. They forgot my shake. I seems like they have big turnover of staff there so everyone’s still learning. And as these mistakes were happening I watched the manager(you can tell by her clothes) just ignoring those of us waiting to have their orders corrected. She was acting like one of the employees, bagging up fries, etc., and not a manager helping to sort out her staff’s mistakes. When I got home, my loaded cheese burger which I never had before tasted like crap. Way too much cheese running all over and out of it. It’s hard to ruin a cheese burger but they succeeded. The fries were cold and like cardboard as if they’d been sitting around for who knows how long. I ordered the straight fries, they gave me a mixture of straight and curly. The onion rings which I normally love were over-cooked and hard. Jack In The Box regional management needs to get involved in the Niu restaurant to get their staff trained in cooking to Jack’s normally high standards. I can understand new employees at the counter messing up, but not messed up cooking. Help Jack Mgmt! Get this sorted out, PLEASE! Sincerely, Your once loyal customer! I went to jack in the box for the first time yesterday. I was disappointed in the quality of the food. When I ordered my chick. Nuggets I thought they would be at the same quality or better than McDonald’s but it looks horrible and greasy. The only thing I liked about this jack in the box was that it was super clean. I would not recommend eating here.

I ordered the butter Jack expecting something decent… it was easily the worst burger I’ve had in the last 5 years, easy. It tasted like someone dumped 5 pounds of salt into it.

It’s nice to finally have a Jack in the Box on the east side. However, they can’t seem to get their fries correct. I’ve been here 3x and on all three occasions, I received the same old, soggy fries. Maybe they had to work out their kinks but I’m not sure why can’t they have the same consistency as the Kapahulu or King Street locations. You’re better off going to Burger King further down the street for fries.

April 1, 2015… read lots of the negative reviews but was hungry and it’s 24 hours so… Went their 4:45AM, drive-through, two people working in there, i’m the Only customer, no pressure and they miss two items(2nd drive through error for me-i let the 1st one go) that i ordered(i ordered eight items) in the package. I KNEW i should’ve CHECK but i didn’t…and yes i Paid for the items but not going to make a big deal about it except heads up-check your drive through Orders. I’m thinking with all of the bad Reviews(read previous) doesn’t it ever get back to corporate mainland Jack In a Box Headquarters or somebody Higher here? Donald Trump, i think you need to visit Niu Valley and give your famous saying: «You’re ______!»

Just ate at the Jack in the Box in Niu Valley. Ordered the buttery Jack Classic Burger. It was terrible. It has some special sauce in it that I didn’t care for and the Bun was rubbery. But the biggest thing I didn’t like was someone switched the diet coke container with regular coke. I couldn’t tell the difference until I was driving home because while eating the burger and onion rings, it masked the taste of the regular coke. However, I am diabetic and by the time I reached Lunalilo Home Road, I could feel my forehead starting to buzz from the Hyperglycimia(high blood sugar level). When I got home, my blood sugar was 325 from drinking three small cups of regular coke at the diner. I tried to call Jack in the box Niu Valley to make them aware of the error but the phone listed on Unilocal and on the Jack in the Box directory was wrong(disconnected). I called 411 information and she gave me the same phone number

5 star Jack in the Box!!! My boyfriend and I work service industry so we have late hours and the Nui Valley Jack’s definitely is a warm welcomed addition!!! –Fast drive thru –The person taking our order was easy to understand –Friendly window girl!!! When going to Jack in the Box you’re not going for gourmet food or 5 star service, you’re going for FAST and CONNIVENCE which, is why we love this location! We will be back soon!

I like Jack in the Box for it’s wide variety of choices and usually consistent food. Unfortunately the Niu Valley restaurant is still ironing out the kinks. I realize they don’t make it until you order it, but for some reason, this Jack’s is not up to par yet. Of course it is the only one in East Honolulu, so it is busy, especially on the weekends. When we went this past weekend, it was sad that it took so long to get through the drive through – almost 15 minutes total, but also when we got home, the hubs had soggy floppy fries, which he reheated in a frying pan. Totally not up to standards with that. The last time I was in the restaurant, I used the facilities, and there were no walls up. Think 2 toilets side by side in a huge room. I’m sure when the finally figure things out, they will gain a star, but for now, we are at 2 stars.

Went to the drive thru at 9pm on a Friday, only 1 car in front of me. Ordered a munchie meal, bacon cheddar wedges, tacos and a kids meal. The cashier was very polite and efficient, and my order was completely correct. The fries were a little underdone and soggy, and only 1 side of my sourdough burger was grilled. But only 5 minutes in the drive-thru+very courteous service+correct order+tasty food = satisfied customer who will be back soon!

This was the second time to this location. First time my curly fries tasted burnt. When I got home I noticed there were black specks on them. Threw it away. Second time my curly fries were cold. The other items I ordered were fine. Tacos were warm and I received the correct items. The staff were polite. Not sure what’s going on with the training here but I would rather drive to the Kapahulu location. Food quality is much better there. Having worked in food service for many years in the past I know the importance of food being the proper temp when being consumed. I was looking forward to this location opening but it’s just been disappointing so far.

So I was super excited about this Jack in the Box because I LOVE the curly fries. But for my first time at this location I was really disappointed. First off my fries were COLD. Then I got the wrong burger, I ordered the sourdough Jack, and when I got my burger wrapped in the paper that said«sourdough jack» on it, I bit into it and found I got the sriaccha burger instead. And lastly. The. Bathroom. What. In. The. World. No stalls just toilets. And only one toilet paper dispenser. For a new location you’d think everything would be set and working(shake machine was broken too). But no. Sorry for such a negative review but I also work at a food establishment so I understand how stressful it is but this is just sad.

Was happy for a closer location but i would seriously drive down to Kapahulu to get Jack in the box instead of this place. Drive thru is a 20 minute wait at the least! They always get your order wrong and the cashiers are slow. reall slow Also dont get the buttery jack from here, they burn it so much its dry. nothing like the picture

I want to give it higher stars but this is HANDSDOWNTHE S L O W E S T restaurant and drive thru I have ever been to. Half hour in restaurant still not ready, the drive thru is around the parking lot. RIDICULOUS. I understand they’re new but cmon. It’s paint by numbers for food. Fast food should be fast, just sayin. Shame. Hope they figure out the kinks soon or this will go by the wayside like KFC did in the same location.

This is only my second review. The product and customer service was so poor, I felt compelled to write in and let others know about my experience. We went through the drive through at 8:50pm 2⁄3. As we drove home, we ate some of the fries we ordered. My daughter commented that it tasted burnt. When I got home and opened the bag there were black flecks all over the fries! It looked as if someone had sprinkled black pepper all over the fries! Totally gross! It seems that they burnt something in the fryer, never bothered to clean the oil and continued to fry things in there. I noticed another person posted a review on 2⁄1 and made the same comment about the fries. Do you mean they’ve been frying in that contaminated oil since then or even before then? Also, decided to call the store to let them know what happened. Explained to the person who answered the phone. Long story short — she said, «Sorry» and hung up! I then tried to do feedback using the receipt — the 14 digit code is invalid! What is going on with this location!!!

I don’t know what the heck is going on but they got my order wrong twice and my curly fries are covered in black burnt stuff. I was wondering why my fries tasted like its burnt when it isnt. Looked inside closely and there are bits of these black things all over. Meaning they didn’t clean the oil! Freaking gross.
