Teddy’s Bigger Burgers

The food at Teddy’s Bigger Burgers is consistently good and good value. We like to pick it up and take home to our confront home in Portlock where we have a quiet, quality meal with Diamond Head in the forefront of the best sunsets on the island.

I’ve been a frequent customer of this establishment since the day they opened and have always been a satisfied customer, especially of the «brown cow»; a half chocolate, half vanilla milk shake. My boys and I had a craving for a brown cow today and decided to treat ourselves. We went in and placed our order with great anticipation, looking to satisfy our craving. I placed our order and the cashier turned to a girl who had her hand on a wet dirty towel that she had just pulled out from a bucket of brown dirty water and gave her our order to complete. Without washing her hands she grabbed the milkshake mixing cups and proceeded to make our shakes. Whaaat!!! Let me add that she grabbed the rim of the cup with her dirty, grubby hands. Disgusting! I called to her and asked if she could wash her hands before making our shakes?! She proceeds to give me a look like I just insulted her and goes to put on plastic gloves. Whaaat, again! After seeing this I immediately canceled my order, and asked to speak with the manager. She apologized profusely, but I wasn’t staying and we left. Needless to say, we won’t be back! I’m scared to think how other employees might be handling food products at this place. Teddys needs to address hygiene and proper handling of food products with their employees. Beware!!!

We were hungry after checking out the sea life park. First burger place we’ve tried and it was pretty tasty. Definitely very filling and when they ask if you want hand wipes trust me take some.

A quasi-​fast food joint offering a wide selection of thick juicy burgers, pulled pork sandwiches, chicken salads and more located in a crowded shopping center requiring a diligent search for one of the very limited parking spaces.
Order up at the counter and they bring you the food when it is ready. When we arrived around 1:30 on a Monday between Christmas and new years the place was still swarming. The order took around 20 minutes to get the food.
Food was big and filling.

I love the veggie and turkey burger here. The veggies are fresh and their special sauce is yummy! I think there’s pineapple in it. Their Umami fries are sooo delicious! Very flavorful. Service is good and quick every time I visit. They are pretty pricey for quick take out burgers but the quality is well worth it.

Love these burgers. I have to make a stop every few days on our stays in Hawaii. My usual is the turkey burger with avocado and its always great. The secret sauce would be good on anything really. This is a great cheap burger spot that doesn’t disappoint.

Bigger is better at Teddy’s! I’m never disappointed with my order… it’s always so fresh and so clean. Im happy to find out they have one in CA as well near my hometown. Woop Woop: P

Visiting Oahu from Oregon and being on the beach all day the family and I needed something quick and good to eat. Burgers sounded good do I checked Unilocal saw some good reviews and the pictures looked great and it was super close to where we are staying. We got the Teriyaki burger, a 2 regular cheeseburgers, Wahiawa burger, garlic and regular fries and I had to try the Unami fries (Omg. those are so good!) And they offer 3 sizes of burger patties, we got just the regular sizes on all but one of the cheeseburgers and they were plenty huge. The chocolate milkshake was hand dipped and super thick. Yum! I would recommend this food to anyone who loves good burgers.

First time having teddy’s burgers and I thought it was a just a normal burger place. Boy was I wrong. I had the Greek burger and the meat is soft and delish. Also the umami fries are the bomb. I suggest to come here if u want a burger fix. The staff is nice too.

Well after several days of being disappointed with Hawaiian food and thinking maybe Oahu just doesnt have good food, I came here for a burger. My friend found this place the day before and was impressed.
I ordered the Hawaiian burger, siracha fries and a kona coffee shake. It was good. I could t finish the large portion so ended up sharing it. It was a good amount of food.
I recommend if you are feeling like a burger.

Teddys is my go-​to burger place in Honolulu.
When they do things right, this place can’t be beat! Imo The special sauce is what sets them apart.
Today’s order came with soggy fries which otherwise it would have been 5 stars all around.

Awesome burger joint! We stopped by after hiking Koko head. They have so many options it was a bit mind boggling but ended up getting the Wahiawa burger, Kaneohe burger, and Umami fries.
They were so good! The grilled pineapple was so good and added a nice sweetness to the burger. Just a touch, to enrich the burger and the sauce. Not sure what the sauce is but I had it dripping all over my hand. So tasty! Definitely enjoyed it and according to my mom it’s the «best» burger joint. Would definitely like to come back and try the other specialty burgers!

I love this place, but every other order is wrong. I get it… they’re kids. They try hard and they are always so friendly. When they get it right, the meal is always perfect. Somehow the seem to mess something up on a visit or two a month.
Burgers are delicious. You can pretty much get it anyway you like, but the special orders seem to get confusing to someone, may the cashier, maybe the cook. Regardless, I guess no one checks them before giving it to the customer.
I’ve been coming here for over 10 years and live down the street. I will return, but wish it would be correct every time, especially on the take out orders. My fault for waiting until I get home, but I shouldn’t have to check should I?

I like to eat burgers and Teddys is my go to spot… the burgers hit the spot but they usually take forever, my order is messed up and it isn’t a cheap burger.
The last few times we have gone somehow our order gets lost in translation (yes, I speak English). For instance, can we get a plain Teri burger is somehow translated to a burger with no sauce (a.k.a hamburger). Today I asked for a Kilauea fire burger and got a Kailua burger.
The service isn’t the quickest. Expect to wait 15 – 30 minutes but they do cook to order. So don’t come here if you are in a rush.
The burgers are also pricey and the combos add more. On a positive note their milk shakes are delicious!
I like to eat burgers and I will continue to come here from time to time. If there were half stars I would give them 3.5÷5 stars.
P. S. For you military members, they have military Monday’s.

Ordered 3 burgers with avocado and mushroom. One of them had mysterious reddish brown paste with it. I’m not sure what kind of sauce it is. Maybe the grill was not clean enough from their last order ???
Anyway I was disappointed with their burger.
It was very dry and hard. That’s sad because I used to like them so much.

Teddy’s burger are all good and a side of taters tots. I went too large and did the «BIGGEST» Hawaiian… wowzers. Two 9oz angus beef patsy’s? Dayum. Amazing size. Good flavor. Not great. But its tasty and good.
The tator tots are a great change to conventional fries. I like that change. Lots of great varieties and choices. Next time i’ll stick with a since 9oz patty. Plenty of protein for me on that one.
All cooked to order. No doubt about fit.
Our burgers were hot when they arrived on the table.
Price wise… I’m good with it. Decent price.
My wife said… «THIS IS BETTER THAN ROY’s». haha and If you know ROY’s… than that says a lot.

Oh teddy burgers you never disappoint me! The young girl who took our order was sweet and patient. It took me a while to figure out what toppings I wanted, even though this was not the first time I’ve been to a teddys burger. I ordered a 7oz firecracker medium rare with a small order of garlic fries. My hubby and I waited about 10 minutes after placing our order. We started looking around for some booths that were available. Sitting outside was an option, but eating hot food in air conditioning sounded much better and comfortable.
My Cajun burger came with pepper jack cheese, bacon, kiluea fire sauce bbq and jalapeños. It was messy and finger licking good! The meat was fresh, cooked to perfection, and the flavors were just partying my my mouth. The bottom bun was soggy due to it sitting in its own juices. The fries were more buttery then garlicky. Some pieces were dry, but still tasty. I washed it down with a coke zero.
I finished everything:) I love you teddys!!!

What’s your guilty pleasure? Comfort food? If you’re in the Hawaii Kai area don’t waste your time looking for places to go because Teddy’s Bigger Burgers will take care of you.
Located in the Koko Marina Center, Teddy’s Burgers is one of those places you can come to and enjoy a good burger and some fries. It’s quite simple here, you stand in line and order your food. They have the menus posted up and you may order ala carte or they also have some combos available. You are given a number and then you find a seat.
They have fountain drinks here and are refillable. The condiment bar is self-​serve here. You sit at a booth and the staff will bring the food to you.
The burgers here are cooked-​to-​order. I don’t care for well-​done burgers at all so it’s a real treat to order mine medium-​well. Fresh veggies are in the burger so you enjoy that fresh taste and help break down the grease you’re consuming!
The only thing that bothered me was the butter garlic fries. It was GREASY GREASY GREASY. Too much butter and I wanted to gag after a while. It was too oily and seeing the pool of butter form at the bottom of the basket made me stop eating.
However, I really did enjoy the tater tots my friend ordered. It was deep-​fried golden brown and very crunchy. Was sad it wasn’t a part of my meal as it was that good. Do yourself a favor and order the TATER TOTS. You won’t be disappointed!
Overall, a very upbeat and enjoyable place to eat. Very casual, friendly staff and clean. There’s a lot of parking at Koko Marina Center so stop by here next time you’re in the Hawaii Kai area and looking to grab a bite.
NOTE: This place is not your typical fast food joint with a $ 1 menu. Your meal here can cost approximately $ 10 per person and the food quality is above average.

The best burger in years!!! With all the fix in’ and still what stood out for me was the taste of the char grilled burger! The Teri, mushrooms and cheddar cheese were a plus! Next time on Oahu first stop Teddys!!!

I’m glad that they were able to remedy the situation. When I went to order my combo meal, I made it very clear that I wanted my really well done, but as soon as I was towards the end of the burger, it was not how I wanted it to be. So I went up to tell them I wanted it to be well done and they were very courteous and apologized for messing up my order as well my friend’s order
So I was very pleased that they were able to give me a complimentary peppermint mocha shake on the house and were able to refund my money and fixed my order, as well as giving me another order of fries. I really appreciate the fact that they were able to fix my order and checking on it periodically, which made it a lot easier for me. I want to say thank you for checking on my order and remaking the burger the way how it should be done.
