Went to eat here with my hubby, his coworkers and boss. We were a table of 15 I believe. It was a birthday celebration:) The restaurant is located on fort schafter golf course. You basically need base access to get here. We arrived a little late, but put in an order of fish and chips and a philly sandwich. I was asked whether I wanted chips or sweet potato fries. I opted for sweet potato. As 30 minutes went by and everyone was receiving their dishes at different times I wondered if they were out fishing for my fish to fry… There were simple orders of 3 sliders that had not even been executed since the time the order was taken. Comments of flavorless fish made me nervous. I twiddled my thumb as my honey received his philly plate as I was the only one without a meal at the table. About 7 minutes later my fish and chips was finally put in front of me as the cake was being cut. It was battered to death and a small piece of fish peered out. I was given chips instead of sweet potato and the tarter sauce came from a bottle. This is what took 40 minutes to make? Lol… Drink orders were delivered to the wrong people and billed on the checks of the ones that didn’t receive them. I’m not sure if the employees have experience to catering to groups in a timely manner. Umm… people eventually need to get back to work and do not have the leisure to wait almost an hour to be served their meal. I believe some re training needs to be enforced to provide better service to soldiers and civilians.

I’ve eaten here since 2007. Food they serve is good and tasty. Menu is limited but it works. I wish they offered more ethnic foods. I’m a huge taco and burrito fan so maybe do like a taco tuesday or something like that. I like the burgers and I like their wraps.

The have a Keiki night on Weds. Kids meal for $ 2. It’s advertised with a healthy menu, but it’s the usual chicken fingers, cheeseburger, and fries. They gave us a placemat of Eddie the Eagle, but didn’t have crayons. This us a good cheap alternative to a Happy Meal I guess. Ask for broccoli instead of fries!

After a spectacular(or in my case, a not so spectacular) round of golf at Fort Shafter’s Walter J. Nagorski Golf Course, a meal and a beer at the adjacent Mulligan’s Bar and Grill really hits the spot. That’s exactly what I did today after work, including the not so spectacular round of golf. Mulligan’s Bar and Grill is fairly typical of a golf course bar & grill, but probably on the higher end of typical. The service is friendly and prompt. The beer is cold and the food offerings are tasty, generously portioned, and reasonably priced. I often get and enjoy the Prime Rib Sandwich. Today I enjoyed the Ruben.(see picture). Both are served with a large plate of fries; or if you ask, they will substitute them with a garden salad, coleslaw, or potato salad. I usually choose the potato salad. My unnamed golfing partner had the ½ LB. Cheeseburger with bacon. About two-thirds of the way through it, I heard him utter, «Mmm… this is a good burger.» He certainly finished it and his large plate of fries as well. We also both finished out pints of beer. The check was just over $ 20. Like I said, «reasonably priced.» So the next time you play golf at Fort Shafter, give yourself time to relax over a meal and a beer at Mulligan’s Bar and Grill afterwards. If you play like me, you might want to make that 2 or 3 beers!
