Lmao! I used to manage this bar. Good times and BAD times. Great potential, but poor business model. There was no turning this place around. Too bad there wasn’t more backing from the«OWNERSHIP» which was the biggest issue. Great experience though… miss ALL my staff… AWESOMECREW!!!

this used to be the club to go to that was 18+…but it’s been really going down hill. they’ve been busted so many times for underage drinking. it’s pretty sad. and normally the DJ is horrible. but when it’s that asian girl, the music is pretty good. there would usually be a good mix of people, but definitely creeper status and jailbait.

Been there a couple of times for the club but it was way too crowded for my liking. I also went to a fashion show there. It wasn’t too bad.

I used to go here a lot before I turned 21. It’s one of the few clubs in Honolulu that’s 18 and over. It get REALLY uncomfortably hot, stifling, and crowded on the weekends. But I guess most places do. The level of sketchy guys is a little lower than the usual, perhaps because I noticed a LOT of my classmates from Iolani and Punahou there. As far as nightclubs go, it’s all right. I guess I did go back quite a few times, but I was never really wowed by the experience. Better than average, I suppose. One thing that always bothered me was that the gogo dancers appeared to be averagely aged about twelve. It always sat kind of oddly with me. Anyway, it’s a better option than pipeline because of the lower sketch level.

We were here twice for special events. The service was great(it’s dependent on the promotion team) and was filled with great times and unforgettable memories. Hip hop was played all night long and dance battles took place in the middle of the dance floor. Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Alot of good and bad times here! I gogo’d here a bunch of times… in 2007 and 2008. I haven’t been here since I last gogo’d there in September 2008(which I had alot of fun working that gig… the place was packed and I was the only gogo… good times!). I worked with several different promoters for different nights. So the crowd varied… but most of the times, it’s always crowded. Depending on who’s promoting the party… you’ll get Asians, locals and blacks. Some nights are 18 and over and some are 21 and over. Different Djs… different music. For the most part… it’s hiphop/rap/r&b and mash ups/top 40. As for coming in when not working… maybe once or twice in 2006… because I knew the promoters I never had to pay to get in nor stand in line… so not much to review on that… As for drinking?! one time really stands out… when celebrating my birthday in 2006…(I don’t drink liquor) but my friends gave me alot of drinks that night and me being the nice one… I drank as much as my body could handle… then the alcohol got to me sometime during that night… my vision became black and all I could see was white spots… so there went my night… I left the place because I needed fresh air. OMG. what a night. Another blah moment at O-lounge… someone stole my wallet from my bag when I was working a gig(it was good Friday 2008)(*_*) lame! The inside of the club is asian inspired with paintings on the walls. Places to lounge… mini bar tables and a dance floor. Good size bar. Right in the heart of Honolulu behind Ala Moana mall. Parking is either valet… or park down the street at the paid parking lot… or if you’re lucky free street parking. Girls: careful when wearing heels and walking up and down that steep driveway. I always get nervous walking down… but I see alot of girls walking barefoot leaving the club. Never paid for drinks here… so I don’t know what the price range is. So yah, my experiences here are a mix plate from a gogo girl/club hopper point of view. All in all in a nut shell… I enjoyed many nights gogo dancing here and my have lots of memories to look back on and smile and memories that make me raise my right eyebrow! ahhh. If I’m not gogo gig here… I wouldn’t come here to party unless I knew the promoters… not my cup of tea.

so i got in free. woopie… mmm not that great. «/ if you wanna dance… you should ask instead of just going up to someone and start dancing like 1 foot away from them. its just creepy!!! like oh im kind of dancing with you but not really cause there is a stupid space in front of the two of us. i mean come on grow some balls right? Oh and if you want a number… why dont you just ask. whats the worst that could happen… they tell you no?(there are other desperate girls there. why do you think they go??) Dont be a chicken and ask a friend. I’ll just say she is my lesbian girlfriend! ;D I would say its a little too crowded in there. if you wanna drink go to a bar… its better! «]

considering i was a tourist, i only stayed for about an hour and a half. i was already liquored up going into the club… it was ok. it didn’t understand the layout, the bouncers were super strict(kicked out my friend bc he thought she was too drunk when she was just sitting down trying to get a breather [i think]) i wasn’t allowed to dance on the gogo stages(LOL) and nobody was dancing. there was… about 9 people dancing, which were the other 8 people i came with. seems like everyone goes there to just get dressed up and look pretty. the music was good, mostly all the bay hyphy slaps. and i swear i seen their gogo dancers at 2 other nightclubs during my trip there. the one thing i ultimately hate, whoever was promoting that night was recording girls dancing on their camera, granted i should watch how i dance, esp. since it isn’t my hometown. but i don’t think its very fair to be recorded without being told or warned… and then see that posted ish online. that’s a JERKMOVE… and if you have to use that to get other people to party with you guys, then that just means your ultra lame, the venue is mega lame, and your event was ultimately lameeee to ever begin with! anywho back to the club… yea, it was aiight. you can tell it was a bit dirty, and i felt bad for the old lady workin the restroom(as the dream says, «you should tip her») it gave me this grimey indoor warehouse feel at every single place in this club. i don’t know if i would wanna go back…

I’ve only been here on Saturdays when it has a dirty converted warehouse feel. It’s popular among high schoolers(or people that just look in the 16 – 18 range) and high school grads that still live in their high school cliques. My rule of thumb is, a good venue won’t allow kids in let alone kids drinking. The drinks are ok and the music isn’t bad, but if you’re over 20 you’re out of place. Plus, the atmosphere isn’t conducive to meeting people either – you come in with 3 friends, you leave with the same 3. Everyone on MySpace seems to be here, too – if you’re into that sKaNkY cRoWd. Hehe. My boyfriend and I had fun for an hour before we felt like we were at a high school dance in the gym. We’d much rather watch the Food Network in the cleanliness of our own homes on a Saturday night in bum clothes. P. S. I love the funny reviews of this place – they’re all true!

Ghetto atmosphere with a pretty unfriendly crowd. Probably one of the worst party experience during our one week stay. At least it was air conditioned.

Went to O Lounge after leaving dissapointing Pipeline. Looking at previous reviews, we probably hit it on a really good Wednesday night. Everyone seemed to be having fun; dancing, drinking, mingling. The DJ was good — played all kinds of different stuff. Good drink specials. I’ll probably go here when I visit the islands again.

Friday nights are a definite NO at O Lounge… I can’t stress that enough. Take half naked chics, shorter than short ghetto wannabe dudes, crappy dance mixes, and the outdated fog machines, and you get Fridays at the O. I’d rather stay home and play Scrabble, thank you very much. Wednesdays(aka BIIIIIIIIGWEDNESDAYS) are better. Despite the multitude of skanky, ass-peeking, here’s-my-fake-id-that-says-i’m-31-but-i-look-14 kids, they’ve got great drink specials. I’m talking top shelf. The bar section is cool, with a cute little lounge section. And they play good music, which helps to ignore the little kids running around. If it weren’t for the drink specials, and the awesome Vertical Junkies crew(of course), this place would be closing its doors. P. S. the door guy is HOTT… but back off girls, he’s mine!

Imagine being back in your intermediate school cafeteria for assembly now dim the lights and add music and alcohol… welcome to O Lounge. This place was so boring and empty on a Friday night that I fell asleep on one of the couches there — they even had pillows… awesome. I went up to the bar to buy a drink and I actually got carded, I guess if your a bartender at O Lounge you tend to assume everyone is 18. That’s their market segment — not the«18 and up» crowd, the«exactly 18» crowd. Where’s the liquor commission when you need them?

wednesday nights are going strong where«O lounge» becomes«HO lounge» and honolulu’s finest young things come out to shake it. that’s when the vertical junkies have their ‘summer camp’ party and i’m telling you, this is the height of barely legal fun. the girls all know each other from homeroom or something so it’s a bit clickish but get there late– like around 12:30 or 1am to get them at their best. 18 and up doesn’t stop anyone from becoming a mess of drunken friendliness. i’ve made more new friends in the bathroom at this place on a wednesday at 1am than anywhere else in the city. it’s a heavy skate and surf scene too but don’t forget that this is only on wednesday nights. i’m not sure how the weekends are here but the venue as a whole is pretty solid. there’s loungy areas and a nice dancefloor and a few large rooms that, I’m assuming, they open up on the weekends. drinks are $ 3 but they are very small so just go for highballs or beer.
