I like this place. My wife and kids love it. I try to go through the opposite entrance to the NEX to keep them from seeing it, otherwise my kids beg for it.

Omg best donuts ever. Better than any mini donuts from the fair. I had espresso and sugar and salted Carmel glaze. Salted Carmel glaze were out of this world and espresso sugar we’re perfect. Definitely with getting off the freeway for

Really cool concept at NEX Mall. Pop Pop Donuts is located on the outside, fronting the UPS Store with the other outdoor vendors. All Donuts are freshly made to order, so its warm and tasty when you pop these bite size dounuts in your mouth. Would definitley be back and recommend it to friends…

This place is a complete hidden gem. By far the best donuts on the island! Bring in the parking lot of the NEX, I never would have found this until my little sister(married a seaman) dragged us to the NEX for food shopping! I will MAKE an excuse to drive out here from town… Donuts after target, donuts after visiting my sister, donuts after the aloha swap meet

As we were done shopping, we walked out of the mall and headed to our car. My nose caught a whiff of a wonderful smell. The wonderful smell was freshly cooked donuts from the pop pop cart. We decided to try an order of the cinnamon with sugar donuts. They weren’t as big a full like some of the pictures that I have seen on Unilocal. In fact, they were like the size of Funyuns. It was cool to see the machine cooking the donuts and flipping them over but other than that, I was not really impressed. From the smell that lured me there, I was expecting something more. Maybe I was just expecting too much! I guess my nose deceived me lol.

The powdered are my favorite. One of my 1st stops on cheat day. Employees are usually friendly and helpful. It’s really quick and they are ALWAYS fresh! U can’t beat a warm donut.

These mini donuts are a yummy treat! Usually I only find mini donuts at fairs or festivals so it’s nice to find this place. An order comes with 14 mini donuts and costs $ 6. You can mix and match flavors. We did 7 of cinnamon sugar and 7 of pop pop glazed. They were both great. However the glazed ones were especially delish! They are made as you order them so they are hot and fresh. It’s done pretty quick too so not a long wait. The only disappointment was they aren’t selling maple bacon ones right now. They said they only do that at special events. However, we will definitely go again!

Deliciousness! December 30, 2015 Located right in front of the NEX, this donut place, serving fresh hot mini donuts from underneath a pop up tent, was surprisingly yummy and ridiculously delicious! It was love at first bite… and second, and third! :) There were a variety of donuts to choose from including Espresso and Sugar, Maple Bacon, specialty flavors such as donuts with chocolate and maple bacon sauce, Birthday Cake and other combination you could probably request. We tried the Cinnamon Sugar that was $ 5 for 14 pieces(they were nice enough to throw in 2 extras for us) and between 4 people it just wasn’t enough. So we bought another second helping of the same kind. The doughnuts were mini sized and warm and so soft. Definitely one of the amazing food vendors I’ve tasted since touchdown Honolulu yesterday. The mini donuts were made fresh from their automatic donut machine and served fresh with a variety of toppings and glazes! Not too long ago they rolled out a special for Fall, the Pumpkin Pie glaze! Made with real pumpkin purée! I’m not sure if they are here at NEX everyday but we sure got lucky coming here on a Wednesday and stumbled upon their tent. Simply irresistible!

Always delicious! Hot, fresh, and awesome toppings every single time! I love how you get fresh donuts made right in front of you, and it only takes like literally one minute to cook, and another 30 seconds to get the toppings. Always a great treat for my daughter and myself when we are near the NEX. :)

So our first time in Honolulu and one of the night strolls we ended up in a street festival and we’re lucky enough to be walking by their food tent and just had to try these light little donuts just because they smelled heavenly. We had the salted Carmel ones and they tasted unreal and felt like little clouds biting into them. I would love to have and try some of their other favors. Amazing and must try!!!

Delicious!!! I could seriously eat these little circles of perfection all day. My husband, 5 and 2 year old boys all agree! We get them as a special treat when we’re going to the commissary or NEX. For $ 5 we get enough for all of us to share. They don’t look like much but soooo worth it. Favorite by far is the coconut frosting :)

These tiny little nuggets are amazing. By far a kiddo favorite and they don’t break the bank! Tons of flavors to try and they make them fresh right in front of you!!! We got a dozen cinnamon sugar and a dozen powdered sugar. They were both well coated and delicious. Still warm and super soft with just enough crispness on the outside!

We came across this stand while walking into the NEX and boy am I glad we did. It was beyond delicious and affordable($ 5 for a dozen). They also have several syrups to smother those bad boys. I had cinnamon sugar little ones with salted caramel syrup. My boyfriend had them with strawberry and coconut syrup. This is a great place to have either a snack or a dessert, reminds me of carnival food and who doesn’t just love carnival food? Definitely coming back!

I tried pop pop for the first time at an ETS event over a year ago but at the time I didn’t care for it that much. I didn’t think it was anything special or different. However, I decided to give it a second try at the New Year’s Eve Kakaako ETS. It was REALLY cold and windy that night and I was in the mood for a warm dessert. But what’s a warm dessert right? Because when someone says dessert, I automatically think of icecream and it was too cold for that. 14 donuts for $ 5 seemed like a good deal so we got half cinnamon sugar and half coconut. The donuts were soooo warm and fluffy since they had literally just come out of the fryer. ALAS, a warm dessert! We went into the concert area but left right after midnight just because we were craving more donuts. Luckily they were still serving food till 1 so we ordered another 14, half cinnamon sugar and half chocolate. Cinnamon sugar is a MUSTHAVE but I honestly can’t tell you if the chocolate was better than the coconut or vice versa because they were both so awesome. I’m going to make it a personal goal to try all flavors. Even my boyfriend loved it and he doesn’t care for sweets very much. 14 donuts for $ 5 is definitely worth it! Just keep in mind these are mini donuts and not full sized ones incase you were wondering how my bf and I ate 28 donuts…

I love pop pop donuts! AMAZING! I first tried their donuts at a Unilocal event and was blown away by how yummy they were. My partner in crime told me they had a stand at the Navy Exchange(NEX) but every time I came by, the tent was closed. I wondered if they had short hours or I was just unlucky. However, yesterday my luck changed! Came to the NEX for some last minute Christmas gifts and BAM! The Pop Pop donuts was there! Service was good and the woman working was so nice to split our order up since we couldn’t decide on flavors. I got cinnamon sugar while the partner in crime got caramel sauce and the woman offered powder sugar on top. Delicious! I want to say it was $ 5 for like a dozen small donuts… awesome possum! :)

I’ve drooled over all the pics of their mini donuts and I finally got to try them for myself at the Hyatt Farmer’s Market(Thursdays 4−8pm). We went with the powdered sugar and they were cooked fresh, hot and delicious! I’m looking forward to trying some of their different flavors. For whereabouts, follow them on Instraram @poppopdonuts

So they were offering«Chili and Cheese donuts» at this past Eat the Streets: Spicy Edition. OHMYGOD. lol I personally like the combination of sweet and savory together, so this was fantastic. The chili was good, seemed homemade with the chunks of stewed tomatoes in it. They also served it with onions on top. Sounds really disgusting but it was great! #Teamsaltysweet

Addictions for me come and go. Pop Pop Donuts is my latest. I stalk them via Instagram, Facebook, and their website every chance I get. I find them in Waikiki, Ewa Beach, Kapolei, and at Eat the Street. I find them and I eat them all.. .Ok, not really, I actually share with my boyfriend because these bad boys are SAH-WEET! There aren’t many donut places on the island and when I tried Pop Pop for the first time, I knew this was the ONEANDONLY, the Best of the Best to be found. These guys can make some mean mini donuts and having the option of sprinkles, glazed, chocolate, strawberry, li hing, garlic, bacon, and much more really tickles my fancy. You are one smart cooki– I mean, donut, whoever you are. The creator of these bad boys, your idea, and your ingredients are on point. I don’t like having to chase you around Oahu but I’ll do what I have to when the craving strikes!
