Very good donuts! Enough said! Love their bacon maple donut! My son likes buttermilk sugar glazed donut… We have only tried these two so far but they were both very good. Quick, friendly service :) there’s a little seating area outside where you could eat your donuts or breakfast :) very convenient location!

Little spot close to the airport. Some unique and tasty pieces of art to choose from. The green tea is nicely firm and green. The frosting is not too sweet. Overall taste is great because it doesn’t come off artificial. Like unadulterated green tea in donut form! Will be back to try other flavors

Only tried the specialty donuts which range from $ 2-$ 2.50 each. I tried the chocolate chip, apple fritter, Bavarian crème, maple chocolate and bacon maple. Hubby loves bacon and was excited to try. We were surprised that the ones we thought we would love were okay but others were delicious. 1) Apple fritters were amazing 2) maple chocolate was simple and delicious. The others were so so. I would go back and try the many different regular(smaller) donuts next time. A dozen for $ 13.

Not much of a great rating, but I guess it’s cause we came about half an hr before closing, so there wasn’t much of a selection. We were around the area, so we decided to stop by, since it would’ve been our first time coming here. We opted in getting a dozen of their ‘regular’ donuts. The worker was EXTREMELY patient with us, because we couldn’t decide what to get. We ended up getting their cinnamon sugar, vanilla crunch(which had frosted flakes on it), chocolate with chocolate sprinkles, glazed & I honestly can’t remember the other two flavors we got. Donuts were a little dry to my taste, but their icing was love! We’ll most def stop by much EARLIER so we actually have choices.

Came in to grab a drink and was pleasantly suprised to see that this place is known for their cool/fun/hip new donuts? Lots of donuts with various flavors including matcha, bacon maple, and all other exciting combos. I didn’t try them. so i can’t really rate it. Lots of other customers were ordering their donuts, so perhaps. if you’re a donut lover and want something different, this is the place to go? Otherwise… people were ordering their food/lunch combos as well. As for me, i ordered a drink. Specifically Lychee black tea. It was meh. Way to sweet and very syrupy. had to ask the server to remake the drink.

I love donuts, and Regal is up at the top of my list for donut shops. You could say I am a glazed donut addict and their glazed yeast is absolutely perfect. I am also a fitness freak and dedicated IIFYMer(If you don’t know well you now you should take sometime to know) in other words I track my caloric intake very closely and I know there is also a lot of people like me. I would love to see more local establishments input there nutritional facts into my fitness pal. Sustain: keep up the creativity Improve: add to my fitness pal.

Cake donuts were great. I got the vanilla and the chocolate. I think you can’t judge a bakery without trying the simplest flavors — that’s the true test of how good they can make the basic stuff. It was really good and I’ll be dreaming of those donuts the next time I want a cake donut. I also got the infamous maple bacon donuts. My boyfriend loved it more than me. I thought the maple taste was really strong. The bacon itself is really good — you can tell it’s legit bacon, not bacon bits. I didn’t eat the maple bacon donut the same day, so maybe that is why it seemed not as soft as I wanted it to be. That’s the only reason I docked a star. I would need to try their yeast donuts again and on the same day to really judge it’s quality. Packaging for the donuts was also very nice. The boxes are glossy and not the cheap typical boxes you would normally get from a small bakery. Overall, it was really good.

Before I begin, this establishment should put their nutritional facts on My Fitness Pal for the IIFYM and people who monitor their intake First of all, that fresh baked donut smell doe. The staff here are super friendly, helpful and love their job. Your vacant ask for a better place to walk into if you love donuts. My husband, daughter and I are blown away by the donuts from this place. The heavenly smell that engulfed us when we walked in was enough to convince us we made the right breakfast choice! I’m so glad I found this place on Unilocal,it’s seriously a MUSTDO on Oahu. I don’t care who you are, get yourself and someone else a donut from this place.

Similar donuts as their Chinatown location, but fewer desserts and no sandwiches or cronuts. Not a problem, because the reason to come here is the Crème Brulee donut. Don’t play around with any of the others(okay, maybe the Muddy, the Oreo-topped chocolate cake donut. But you get that in addition to the Crème Brulee, not in place of. Just so we’re clear. :) This magical creature is a vanilla cake donut whose hole is filled with custard, and topped with a honest-to-goodness crunchy torched-sugar brulee crust. O. M. G. Just take my money already! Like manna from heaven, they do not keep, as the crunchy caramelized sugar crust sucks up moisture within a few hours. But since I eat mine in the car, no bother. Only drawbacks are hours(closed by afternoon, no weekends) and parking(only a couple spots and the lot it shares with the warehouses and industrial buildings behind it is awkward). Small price for donut dreams.

2 words: Shortbread Cookies! I’m surprised the ingredients listed aren’t only butter, butter, butter, butter, and more butter. These buggahs are ono! Bought some from a friend who was selling them as a fundraiser. $ 7 of sheer bliss…

So the verdict is in for the best yeast donut on the island. After sampling the few other donut joints left on Oahu, Regal Bakery stands alone at the top for their deliciously well-made, soft and tender, chewy and not too sweet glazed yeast donuts which have a «clean oil» taste versus other places with a «dirty oil» flavor. Go early for a better selection of their other offerings. We were there at 9:30am and they had already run out of their apple fritters… otherwise we would’ve been able to comment. Their buttermilk cake donuts are worth a try as well. We will definitely be back, but perhaps earlier in the morning. Update: April’s flavor of month is Hawaiian Snickas. A chocolate cake donut with a delicious topping of caramel icing, chocolate drizzle, and macadamia nuts. This particular combination brought us here even though cake donuts were never quite our thing. After trying Regal Bakery’s cake donuts, we are now hooked… primarily because their dough tastes scratch made fresh with just the right balance of sweetness along with a uniquely fluffy, light texture like no other cake donuts we’ve had. In addition to the Hawaiian Snickas cake donut, we also bought their Almond Choca cake donut. A chocolate cake donut with caramel icing and crunchy almond toffee sprinkled on top. Winnahs!

I always make a stop here, before I head to Chef Zone. My favs of all donuts is the green tea! I love the green tea donut! I’m cray cray for green tea donuts! It just goes together, hand dipped donuts with green tea flavored on top. It be so perfect with a green tea latte.!! Besides green tea, my other fav is buttermilk. This past Saturday was a disappointment, As they ran out of my choices! ;(;( They were busy earlier!(I wish I got there sooner) I bought some donuts for my kiddies, muddy(Oreo), chocolate, and vanilla. I got the walnut donut, since they didn’t have green tea or buttermilk. I enjoyed it! but not as much as the green tea… Donuts are my weakness!(this is my once a month splurge) I can’t wait for next’s month splurge! Come in & try the green tea donuts & see why its so good! Thank you Regal Bakery for making such yummy cake donuts!

Great donut shop that gives you unique donuts you can’t find elsewhere. Regal is in the industrial part of town. It’s short on parking and looks scary, but I’ve never had any issues. I think the place is run by a Taiwanese couple because you see Taiwan stuff everywhere. They always have a new unique donut. This week it was a rum and coke. Their staple donuts include a strawberry and blueberry with appropriately colored sprinkles, a crème brûlée, a vanilla with rainbow sprinkles, and the all time favorite maple bacon. Price range is 2 dollars per donut on the high end to 1.10 for most regular donuts. They give a military discount and are NOT open on Sunday. If you bring a dozen donuts from here, it’s like ordering a Sam Adams when everyone else orders water!

I don’t know what it is about me and donuts. I just love them. The more varieties, the more excited I am about it. I really did travel to Portland so I could visit the famed Voo Doo Doughnuts and Blue Star Donuts. I LOVE donuts. I’ve been to all three of Regal Bakery’s locations, my favorite being the one in Chinatown because of the size of the bakery. More showcase area means more donuts on display, but I frequent the airport location most. Regal makes a really good cake donut. Probably the best on island. My kids love any of the sprinkled vanilla donuts and my favorite is their lemon crumb. To me, their yeast donuts are just okay. I actually like the ones from Safeway better, the donut is softer. But until they can make a maple donut with bacon or a crème brulee one, Regal Bakery it will be.

Location/Parking: The bakery is located near the airport with decent parking. The building has a big doughnut and pink walls. You can’t miss it! Selection: I was a little disappointed of their selection at 7:30am on a weekday. I was expecting a colorful array of cake donuts with fun toppings. Instead I saw a typical doughnut shop with the usual glazed, long johns and a few cake donuts with normal toppings like chocolate. I did see a few specialty donuts like maple bacon, crème brûlée and a croissant like donut but I expected more specialty donuts. Favorite Donut: My husband and I LOVED the maple bacon donut! It tasted like we were eating breakfast; pancakes with maple syrup and a side of bacon. Delicious! The croissant like donut and a chocolate chip/chocolate glazed yeast donut were also very good. Overall, I did expect more specialty donuts but I was happy with the few donuts I did devour. I’ll most likely be back again to get my donut cravings satisfied.

In observance of National Donut Day(June 6), I’m writing my long overdue review of Regal Bakery near the Honolulu International Airport. I was prepared to give them 3 stars but after my last visit, I discovered that they remodeled their store and have new products. Prior to the renovation, their space was practically a closet and no more than maybe 3, 4 customers at the most could stand in the ordering area. The space is now wider and they even have a shelf with items they haven’t sold at this location previously like shrimp chips and bread. They also now sell cronuts here. Previously, their Beretania Street location was the only Regal that sold them. Regal Bakery’s donuts look very appealing and they taste pretty darn good too. I like their non-traditional flavors like maple bacon and crème brule. They also have donuts topped with frosting and cereal(Cheerios and Frosted Flakes). Most of their donuts are cake donuts so they’re pretty heavy and filling. I believe they only have a couple different types of yeast donuts. Favorites: +Bavarian Cream Cronuts(croissant/donut) +Maple Bacon Donuts +Red Velvet Donuts Notables: –The cronuts they serve here are smaller than the cronuts at Regal Bakery Café on Beretania Street –The self-serve coffee dispensers aren’t always full. There have been several times when at least one of them was empty. My only reservation about Regal is that their customer service has been far from stellar. I honestly can’t remember going to Regal and experiencing good customer service. Sometimes, there is no one up in front to greet you or take your order immediately. Whenever someone has helped me, the employee hasn’t been friendly or welcoming, but Regal isn’t one of those places you go to the customer service for, you go for the donuts. Just look for the pink donut with a door in the middle and voila… you’re at donut heaven!
