I have been here several times for both haircuts and up-dos. Wati is a great hairdresser and takes her time to do a high quality job. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the salon itself is dated and a bit dirty.

We’ve been coming to this location for years, even though we moved from the neighborhood of our families. Throughout the years, luckily, we’ve only changed stylists 3 times because THEY either retired or went on elsewhere. We’ve always gotten professional, friendly and STYLISH services. I enjoy those gentle, massaging shampoos, friendly chats while getting a «new do» and expert blow dry styling. The place is clean and welcoming. Our favorite stylists are Jon Ibarra and Kimi Ho. They are both«masters» with their scissors and keep their styling tools very clean. We have confidence in them; we don’t have to worry ever about receiving a style or cut that we won’t like or fit our lifestyle.

Maybe I’m a little bias and protective of Premier Salons at Macy’s Kahala because my mom works there, but oh well. In reality, i grew up coming here many times and seeing the transformation over the years. I had cut my hair at this Kahala location when I was kid before I started venturing off into the world! Growing up in this salon, I know mostly all of the stylists, nail technicians, colorists, you name it! I was even around before the renovations, now the salon provides a chic and clean look, which is an extension of the quality of services provided. What I can say about services here, is that you will get an awesome result in any service you choose. The people who work at Premier Salons Kahala work very hard, and I know it because I see it day to day when I visit. Customers always look happy and satisfied. But most importantly, there is a sense of family here, and only good quality salons have that sense of camaraderie amongst their workers. Most of the people here have been perfecting their craft for years, so there is so much experience within the walls of the salon. Knowing everyone, I can tell you there is passion and pride in their work, but most of all, a little TLC. Everyone is friendly and most love to chit chat and exchange conversations, it’s a great place to come and relax. The Kahala location inside Macy’s may be hard to find, but it is right up the escalator, adjacent to the luggage department!
