Oh Quizno’s, you’re like the athlete that has so much skill, but has flaws that will limit your chance of playing at the next level. *Disclaimer: I’m a huge fan of Subway. Some of you may know that I eat Subway at least once a week. However, this does not mean that I can’t be a fan of Quizno’s. In fact, I want to be a fan of Quizno’s, but it seems as if you just don’t want me coming back.* One night… in fact Valentine’s day(sad right…*tear*…okay, I’m over it) I wanted to pick up a quick dinner going home after soccer practice. I was hoping for a poke bowl from Foodland, but the counter was closed, so instead I jumped into Quizno’s next door. The Quizno sandwiches have A LOT of potential. They are all packed with flavorful ingredients that mesh well together and the toasting enhances those flavors even more. First, complaint is that you can’t really customize your sandwich. Whatever is on the menu is in the sandwich, but I can get over this. Second complaint is the price… but how can they compete with that $ 5 footlong jingle? Final complaint(and this is a personal story), I love getting my sandwich toasted, I always do. This particular night when I went to Quizno’s the guy burnt my sandwich. Before it came out of the toaster, I COULDSMELLTHECHAR. I’m not a very outspoken person, so thinking that I’d receive good customer service, I was waiting for him to remake my sandwich. I waited, he stared at the sandwich for a split second and… wrapped it up and punched it into the register. NOTEVENANAPOLOGY??? WTF! I’m done with Quizno’s and especially the Market City location. Do not recommend and if you do like Quizno’s, I do not recommend this location.

I like the food at Quiznos more than Subway but they’re not as available around town. I was craving a good sub, so stopped in on the way to work. It wasn’t busy. Just one guy and a family of four. Cute hapa kids, but I digress. lol The workers apologized for making me wait, but it really wasn’t that long; so that was a nice start. However, the guy making my sandwich wasn’t pleasant at all. Just stoic and he didn’t offer any options. He just made the sandwich according to the recipe in his head. I had to interject when I wanted something different; whereas other places would ask you which item you wanted. Oh well. So much for service. The cashier lady was nice and I like that they still have the pickle bar. It was clean, albeit a little run down and could use a little sprucing up. I think it’s a franchise? Anyway, as usual I’d give it 3 stars for good food, but no additional stars for the lack of service.

Rating: 3⁄5 Date(s) Visited: 9÷20÷10 Food 3⁄5 Service 2⁄5 Atmosphere 2⁄5 Price 4⁄5 My second visit to a Quizno’s. Didn’t want Subway, so I went here because my first experience wasn’t a bad one. Food: Tasty and much to choose from. Service: Couldn’t even get a smile from the man who worked there, which there was only one. He was not the type to be working in public. It looked like he owned the place and wasn’t happy that he had to work because an employee didn’t show up. But that’s just my vibe. Atmosphere: The place wasn’t even busy, and the worker couldn’t even ask us how we were doing. The décor is a typical Quizno’s. Nothing to write home about. Price: The bill for 4 people ended up coming to $ 31.

Let’s start off by saying… I don’t normally crave a sandwich and I think my baby likes sandwiches like his daddy! So my husband was quite surprised when I said I wanted a sandwich for lunch! I didn’t feel like going to Subway and we hadn’t ever been to a Quizno’s together so we went to the closest one to us… Market City. I ordered an Italian sandwich on wheat(I’m a sucker for salami even if it’s not on a sandwich) and the dude ordered the two combo for $ 5.99. He chose a sammy and a salad. The salad looked kinda pathetic and just iceberg lettuce and some random other veggies… but he said the dressing was awesome. It was rasberry something… the same thing on his Sierra club sandwiches that he used to get. So my sandwich was decent… not as many veggies as Subway… but it was okay… I love the fact I can gorge myself on pepperoncinis if I feel so inclined. The hubby ate a few cups worth of pickles! I know I’m the weird preggo lady who doesn’t like pickles! haha. Anyway, when we got rang up, somehow he overcharged us for the hubby’s food by like $ 5 or something. We were kinda confused on how he did it. So the senior guy there helped us out and refunded us the cash. It was seriously twice that has happened… people overcharging and then I get refunded in cash. So crazy. The guy was nice and explained what had happened. Eventually we ate our sandwiches and whatnot. I think I got a «regular» size sandwich and I wolfed it down but it wasn’t really all that filling… it was probably around 8 inches or so ish. I think I’m with a lot of other people, go with Subway for a truly filling sandwich for a decent price. If you want a really tasty sandwich, there’s obviously better places like Andy’s, Whole Foods, or the Covenant… but otherwise, stick with Subway and just ask for it toasted… totally more worth it!

I love Quizno’s sandwiches. They’re more expensive than Subway’s and probably not as healthy, but they taste a heck of a lot better.
