Try the Furikake Ahi Sandwich. It’s really good. I also like the salad bar because there is a good assortment of options. Most foods are also reasonably priced. Service is usually very good.

Told us 20 minute wait but we went in in 5. :) ordering two ½ rack baby back ribs and one rib-popcorn shrimp dinners. The popular Ruby Relaxer drink is really sweet. We’re trying tempura green been for pupu and it’s good. The ribs are taking longer than usual so they gave us free salad bar. But even the salad bar was running out of items. Okay. Found out from a friend that they’re closing this Tuesday. Remind self not to go to places that are closing. The waitress was very good.

Got to use our GC that was given to us for Christmas. Don’t eat much here, but I was looking forward to having their lobster mac and cheese. But since they had a menu change, it’s no longer available. So I got my bbq rib fix. Yummmm, with crispy chicken tenders, which was a little salty, but it worked out with rice. Over all service was great

Ruby Tuesday, I almost don’t see the point writing this review since you will be closing in less than ten days but I want to share my thoughts as you disappear from the Ala Moana scene that you’ve been a part of for so long. When you first opened up at the Ho’okipa terrace I frequented you for your delicious salad bar… until I found a sharp piece of blue plastic in the cottage cheese. Needless to say our affair was over as I learned what good food was and strove to eat at local restaurants, not chains. After many years I returned yesterday to use a gift card I received for Christmas. I got the buffalo chicken blue cheese sliders that comes with salad bar and my hubby got an avocado cheese burger. The salad bar wasn’t quite what I remembered, grated beets instead of sliced, etc but it was tasty until… a hair in the olives. Black, about an inch. Normally I’d bring this kind of thing to the attention of the waiter, but a) my husband hates that b) we were primarily paying with a giftcard and c) our waiter seemed busy. So I shook it off, let it slide. Then came our entrees. My sliders were really juicy and very delicious, and my waiter Kevin let my sub out delicious onion rings for my fries. Everything was great until I found another black hair on my onion rings!(I am not black haired mind you… I have very long light brown hair) this hair was maybe two inches and a little curly. Throughly grossed out, I was done eating. We paid and left. What else was I gonna do, complain to a restaurant that is closing anyway? Whatever… I just am turned off of Ruby Tuesdays forever :)

I shamelessly fill half my plate with their croutons every time I make a trip to their salad bar. I love Ruby Tuesday’s salad bar. I think that’s the main reason I come back to eat here. Besides the fresh greens with an abundance of other veggies including tomatoes, onions, mushrooms, green peppers, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, etcetera, etcetera, they have toppings of cheeses, seeds, and so much more, most importantly their croutons. Their croutons are so good, freshly made, lightly salted, with a crispy exterior and a soft interior. I’m usually munching on these for a while that I’m half full by the time my entrée comes to the table. MMmmm… those croutons… soo good! Besides their salad bar, their food and drinks are pretty darn delicious as well. They have a good selection of sangrias(my favorite alcoholic concoction), and after trying the super fruit, white, and strawberry sangrias, the latter is my favorite, although they’re all really good. I have no complaints about their food, because I’ve tried a couple chicken dishes, a couple steak dishes, a couple of the pasta dishes, their tacos, and their burgers, I’ve always found them pretty darn delicious. My favorite thus far is their asiago peppercorn steak(which was actually my boyfriend’s dish that I got a few bites out of). The best part about eating at Ruby Tuesday is that you can buy $ 100 worth of gift cards for only $ 80 at Costco! Plus happy hour from 3 – 6PM from Monday-Friday! But seriously… those croutons!

consistently good salad bar. Food reminds me of mainland fare with burgers and steaks featured. Service is average for a turn and burn type establishment. little things like offering to package left overs don’t happen, instead guests have to box at table. Ruby Tuesday is my go to place at the mall primarilly for the $ 15 salad bar.

We’ve always liked Ruby Tuesday, but last night although dinner was good, it could’ve been better. The waiter could’ve asked if we were done with our appetizer instead of just taking it away«assuming«we were done and I wanted extra pickles with my burger but never ask us if everything was good with our entrees. Someone else dropped the food and I had to flag him for the Tabasco. When we go somewhere to be served I am pretty critical so when I work, I try to «service» the tables.

My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate his birthday. It was our first time eating here. We were seated right away and promptly greeted by our server. Everything was great! We each had a beer to start off the night. Then some hot wings to get things going. They were average wings. The real star was out entrees we shared the baby back ribs and broccoli chicken pasta. Pasta was really good but the ribs stole the show! They meat was just falling off the bone and the mango BBQ sauce was a great kick to the pork. Finished off with a huge piece of cheese cake! Now we have to go walk a few miles to work this off, but it was worth it! Out server was very nice also, thanks!

Though I usually go to the Ruby Tuesday in Moanalua, I visit the Ala Moana location from time to time if I’m in town meeting a friend(or going shopping). I’ve been to the Ala Moana restaurant for both lunch and dinner, and I usually luck out and end up going when the eatery’s not too crowded. I tend to order the same thing with every visit to Ruby Tuesday, since I’ve developed a few favorites by now. But whether I go for lunch or dinner, I’m always sure to get the«Garden Bar» with my entrée – if not the salad bar alone – because it’s one of my favorite salad bars. This Ruby Tuesday does a pretty good job at keeping the ingredients fully stocked. Perhaps it’s just because I don’t go during extremely busy times(I go for an early lunch or early dinner), but I’m always pleased upon noticing that the basket of my favorite, crunchy-yet-spongy brown croutons is NEVER empty. Tip: Definitely check out the combos, because some of them end up saving you more money. Also look at the items on the lunch menu(lunch specials are good from 11 a. m-3 p.m. Monday thru Friday). Here’s what I would recommend. «Create Your Own Garden Bar»: I usually get the«Garden Bar» with my meal, and sometimes it’s my only entrée. I love the assortment of toppings included in the salad bar and often make 2+ trips to get more. I usually get spinach salad, cheddar cheese, bacon bits, blue cheese crumbles(the chunks of blue cheese at this location are huge!), grapes, pasta salad(I love the pasta salad that’s studded with ham and peas), cottage cheese, blue cheese dressing and, last but not least, the famous, crispy, spongy and salty brown croutons that I absolutely CRAVE. Those croutons alone make a trip to the Garden Bar worth it. I like how this location in particular keeps all the items freshly stocked and quickly refilled. «Garden Bar & Bowl of Soup»: I opted for this combo once when I really wanted to try the broccoli & cheese soup. It was definitely creamy and cheesy – very yummy – and it was worth the risk, even though broccoli makes my stomach upset. I haven’t tried the chicken noodle or chicken tortilla soup yet, but I’m sure they’re both delicious. «Mini Masterpieces: Buffalo Chicken with Blue Cheese»: This is my go-to combo whenever I visit RT. Not only can I still get my beloved Garden Bar, but I love these bite-sized sliders. They feature southern-style chicken tenders in spicy Buffalo with signature and blue cheese sauces. The two sliders come with French fries. I usually just eat a bite or two of the sliders – the chicken is coated generously in the Buffalo sauce, and each slider comes with lettuce and tomatoes – and a few fries, but I use most of my meal to indulge in everything I can from the Garden Bar(and end up taking my remaining sliders home). But I love the subtle taste of the blue cheese paired with the kick from the Buffalo sauce in these burger bites. «Shrimp Po’Boy Flatbread»: This menu item is newer, and it definitely sounds delicious. It includes some of my favorite ingredients on a flatbread like pizza — fried popcorn shrimp, Parmesan cream sauce, green peppers, onions, mushrooms, bacon, Andouille sausage and creamy chipotle sauce. I would get my flatbread sans the green peppers and onions, but everything else sounds amazing. I’m sure the chipotle sauce gives the flatbread a slight kick, and I’m interested to try the popcorn shrimp and Andouille sausage from this eatery one day. «Four Way Sampler»: While some of the other appetizer combos on this menu can be expensive, I think this one is actually a good choice because it contains a good variety. It features some of my favorite apps – Southern-style chicken tenders, fire wings, Thai spring rolls and fried mozzarella – in one shareable plate. I especially like the fried mozzarella sticks from RT(crispy breaded and filled with gooey mozzarella cheese) and the crispy, Southern-style chicken tenders. If I just feel like getting pupus for dinner, I wouldn’t hesitate to order this app. «Jumbo Lump Crab Cake Combo»: My friend ordered the crab cake entrée for herself once … and was really disappointed to find that it was, indeed, just ONE crab cake(with nothing else). At least, with this combo, you get the Garden Bar with your crab cake! The crab cake itself, though, is really delicious. It’s made from fresh, premium jumbo lump crab meat and seared to a golden brown. The exterior featured a crisp, golden-brown hue, and from the bite I had of my friend’s entrée, the crab meat itself tasted really moist and fresh. I’d pay a few bucks more just to get the combo.

Good food and friendly employees. Very weak salad bar though. I would’ve loved some sort of variety. It really felt more like an afterthought than anything else. I did appreciate the fact that they had a few local dishes. I felt kinda weird flying thousands of miles to Hawaii just to go to a Ruby Tuesday, but at least while I was there I was able to eat dishes I couldn’t get back in Los Angeles.

SERVICEALERT – Food aside, unfortunately the service here is starting to slide. I come here usually once a month and have noticed that the attention to detail is not there anymore. Filling water glasses, checking on you, and even the amount of time it takes the server to take and deliver the order. We usually always request the bar area and have noticed a different bartender each time. As I really do enjoy the food, I hope Ruby’s can get back to the good service they once had. The salad bar which is what they are known for, has much smaller containers. For example, the lettuce containers hold just enough lettuce for one person! So the salad guy has to keep coming back to refill it. I will keep going back but if it gets much worse I may rethink that. Service=1

This review is for service only at this restaurant. Our server was John and he was the most inefficient server I have ever encountered at a Ruby Tuesday. I ordered the mini hamburgers and asked to have it well done, John fired an answer back and said that already is cooked like that. I requested it an extra well done and his reply was that the cooks won’t do that. Ah, hello, am I not a customer? Do I not get to ask how my food is prepared? Ummm? We had no call back, he walked by to the kitchen and left the dirty salad plates on the table, clearly a sign of terrible service. Even the manager on duty seemed clueless, walked around the restaurant with a frown on his face, no interaction with guests, which is a must but is clearly lacking at this location. The salad bar seemed like there were a lot of items that were low and messy. Unappetizing. However, if I could give a three star rating, it would be for the food. My son left a tip out of courtesy, I wouldn’t have. (Saturday evening June 7, 2014 at approximately 6:30 p.m.).

My boyfriend and I had our very first date waaay back when at Ruby Tuesdays. He was the one that introduced me to their mango kiawe ribs. Since then, we stop by every once in a while to reminisce and satisfy our rib cravings. Also… it’s usually the least crowded place at Alamoana on the weekends. Even if there is a wait, I’ve never waited for more than 15 minutes(unlike CPK). The mango kiawe bbq sauce can only be ordered on island(I think). It has that tangy bbq taste along with a little bit of a fruity kick. I honestly don’t really care for bbq sauce(GASP) but I really love the mango kiawe. The ribs are usually cooked well so they fall off the bone easily. It comes with two sides. On the local menu they’ve recently added a ribs+chicken tenders combo. It comes with fries, which I’ve always substituted with rice. If you don’t want fries make sure to ask if you can sub. If they say no, ask them to check because I’ve had some servers say yes and others say no. They sometimes lack consistency. The chicken tenders are pretty good; crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The honey mustard dipping sauce is delicious. I’ve also tried their crab cakes, which I thought was pretty good. However, I’ve never had crab cakes anywhere else so I’m not entirely sure if my opinion is valid since I have nothing to compare it to. I did feel that the crab cakes were a bit salty. When I asked them if it was possibly to add a little less salt, I was told that the crab cake patties were pre-made/seasoned and cooked to order. I was a bit disappointed. As for their salad bar, if you’re really hungry it’s worth the extra few bucks. Their croutons are AWESOME. It’s crunchy on the outside but when you bite down on it it’s soft in the middle. They don’t have any meat toppings other than bacon but take a salad and add bacon and cheese and you’re good to go. Sort of defeats the purpose of a salad but delicious nonetheless. They have lots of healthy salad options too if you’re looking for that. Overall Rubys is a frequent dinner spot for us. I wouldn’t say that it’s the most amazing restaurant and I wouldn’t write home about it. But it’s a fairly decent restaurant that serves american food with some local twists. I think there’s something on the menu that will satisfy everyone’s needs. They have everything from burgers to seafood to pasta to ribs. The best part is never having to wait too long for dinner. When I’m hungry, patience is not my best virtue.

I don’t really flock to chain restaurants, but their burger does deserve mention. Service was friendly, good but slow in the beginning. I saw a roach mosey its way down the bar in broad daylight. The pepper shaker was filthy. Fries were not firm which suggested they were not freshly cooked. Many negatives then why a four star review? They deliver good burgers. I had the pleasure of trying an offering from their pretzel burger line. Selected the Portobello crispy onion pretzel burger and paid the extra $ 2 to bump it up to their triple prime patty. Great mix of flavors that worked together well: triple prime patty, portabello, crispy onion… the swiss cheese tied everything nicely. Wrap it in their pretzel bun with it’s tinge of saltiness and you have a winning recipe! Take a bite and you will notice the flavors mesh well. But alas! It was not perfect. Burger did not come medium as ordered but was well done. Good thing the triple prime still held in its juices. I probably won’t stop by again for a couple of years but at least I know I can fall back on and be satisfied with their triple prime pretzel burger… make sure it’s the triple prime!!!

So in all honesty I used to dislike Ruby Tuesdays. The food was just kind of typical chain American food and slightly on the higher side, especially for the quality/taste of the food you’re getting. HOWEVER, recently took a trip there and found that the salad bar was a a lot better than I remembered it and they have drink specials. ALL. DAY. EVERY. DAY. Oh hallelu~ $ 5 cocktails, drinks, etc. There’s even a happy hour from 3−6pm(not sure if this is for all locations though). Went for an entrée/salad bar combo they have that includes a small entrée like sliders, tacos, quesadillas, etc. with endless salad bar. Again food is kind of just typical American, not bad but not the best, but I really just liked the salad bar honestly(and of course the drinks). So if you find yourself needing cheap drinks, but missed happy hour, take a trip here if the beer garden at Shirokiya is full.

A typical American food restaurant. It’s special here because you can get local food. I ordered the salmon furikake sandwich with wasabi flavor honey mustard. Wow, it was pretty good. It’s around $ 13~ and comes with fries. It’s a bit pricey but to be expected. Going once is all I need, unless otherwise.

I’m not usually a fan of chain restaurants and had never been to a Ruby Tuesday prior to our visit. However, back in November my gf and I decided to go and give their happy hour a try. By that, I mean we sat ourselves down and ordered the entire happy hour menu along with some drinks to unwind. Over a course of about two hours, we stuffed ourselves with surprisingly delicious fish tacos and chicken tacos. The queso wasn’t my favorite, but edible. The shrimp fondue had actual pieces of shrimp in it. The drinks were okay. Our server was patient and super sweet about us occupying her table for such a long time. She didn’t give us a judgmental look when we placed our order either. I would be open to coming back here for a regular meal.

It’s been a while since we visited Ruby Tuesday at Ala Moana Center. I remember going there quite often for family dinners and always enjoying their salad bar! Yesterday’s lunch was no different – we had a great experience! The staff was very welcoming at the host stand and seated us immediately. Our server visited our table and right away took care of asking us what we’d like to drink and if we wanted to get any appetizers started. She was very friendly and continued to check on us throughout the entire meal, helping to make our dining experience very enjoyable. For appetizers, I ordered a side of onion rings and it was soooo crispy and had just the right amount of batter! Of course, I ordered the salad bar, but did a soup and salad combo for my main meal. The salad bar was delicious! Just the right amount of options to put together an epic salad. They kept the salad bar very clean and well stocked! As for the soup, I ordered the broccoli & cheese. I don’t remember it being so rich, but nonetheless, it was very delicious! Overall, we had a great time. Will definitely be coming more often.

This place I keep coming back to and it’s not because I think the food is fab… It’s because my kids like the ribs here. My youngest is a picky eater and if he doesn’t like the food he will litterally starve himself. For those of you who say he’ll eat when he gets hungry… NOT!!! This kid is hardcore! He’s skinny for a reason, and I’m crossing my fingers he expolores more of his taste buds real soon. Aside from the ribs I now order from the new«LOCAL» menu they have. I enjoy the Kalua Pork nachos and chicken wings. The nachos are tasty but sometimes they don’t put enough kalua on the nachos. Hit and Miss Chicken wings are done well and I enjoy the crisp parts of the chicken wings that has just the right amount of spice. I think I’ll just stick with the local menu which is much better than the normal menu they have. But I have to say, that the salad bar has«beets» and I’m a new fan of beets with mayo. I think the salad bar guy remembers me because I load my plate with beets before I add actual greens. That way I get what I want before all the fillers are added. You’ll have to visit this place a few times to know what you can enjoy rather than just leave a bad review. So I’m happy that because of the son I was able to try the local menu and appreciate the salad bar more. Just don’t expect a huge spread of choices and just appreciate the norm and you should be okay. Yay’s = Local Menu Bummer = Don’t expect a fab service. When they get busy they aren’t really trained to carry a genuine smile with a polite tone. But I’m sure they mean well. At least I hope they do.

finally the fries are crispy as they should be. there are a lot of half off deals for ruby tuesday. we always order their lunch special mini burger + salad bar combo(14.99 $) I love the pumpernickel croutons on the salad bar, they are crunchy on the outside with a soft chewy inside.
