Loved it! The site is beautiful and very clean even thru its popularity. The staff is very helpful and the site provides lockers for 8 – 10 $ to store personal effects. I could observe a variety of fish and felt safe at all times.

We went at 3:00 pm and it was not crowded parking was available too. We didn’t have to wait in line because everyone’s was at the beach already. Cool place to go snorkeling we even rented snorkeling gears as well !!! My opinion is that everyone goes so early in the morning and the line becomes long. Go in the afternoon and you won’t see so many people at the beach ;)

Parking is crazy, get there early. Loved it. Very peaceful and a lot to see out by the corrals. A must see!

One of the most beautiful and picturesque places I have ever seen! Mind you I have been all over the Caribbean. My absolute favorite place to snorkel and sun bathe. A must visit!

Get here EARLY! We heeded others advice and got here about 6:45am it was perfect timing! We got to skip the required movie in lieu of a short talk with a ranger and got in for free– not to mention some time snorkeling free of crowds. It was well worth the drive and the lack of sleep– we saw tons of fish, coral and even a turtle. Equipment rental was $ 12 for the mask, snorkel and flippers, rental opens at 7am. This was by far the best thing we did in Oahu– it’s a must see!

Love this place — you can get up close and personal to all the marine life… just remember — look, but DON’T touch! $ 1.00 for parking, $ 7.50 entrance fee, $ 2.00 all-day, roud trip tram fee(or you can walk for free) and I think they also rent snorkeling gear(I have my own). There’s snack and souvenir shops and sort of covered outdoor area to see and learn about the bay. There is a 7 – 8 minute video to watch once a year, but it’s not that bad. Just remember to sign your name so you don’t have to watch it each time you visit. I also recommend coming during the warmer months. I’ve been in Jan, Feb and Mar and the water is FREEZING plus the sun seems to hide behind a stagnant ocean of clouds! Still worth it for the beautiful views, calm and clear water, coral and fish everywhere(even an occassional turtle or two) and a bit of exercise walking down to and then up from the beach. I highly recommend it… I plan to visit until I’ve covered all 12 months of the year.

Very beautiful spot, I go here every time I am in Hawaii — you have to watch the video the first time, but then you can sign a sheet so every other time you go for the next year you don’t need to watch the«coral safety» video. Very beautiful spot, too bad it gets very crowded! but besides that it is an amazing site, definitely worth visiting if you are ever on the island

3.2STARS. I love SNORKELING! So I had fun doing it for 4 hours at Hanauma Bay! This place is pretty expensive compared to the other places to snorkel in Hawaii. However, this place is best if you have young children or non-swimmer who are afraid of the water. I’m glad I came here once, but I would not be coming back soon unless I have young children.
