Picked up a small pan each of the teri beef(which I totally cant wait to eat again), chicken katsu and rice for a picnic. I loved it. I called in my order right after they opened and was able to pick it up in 30 minutes. Thanks! Look forward to ordering from here again.

We just had my son’s birthday party at Ice Palace and ordered the Party Pack C and the food was dee-lish! ;) They graciously let us substitute Teri beef and noodles for the spare ribs and cold ginger chicken. Food was awesome and would definitely cater here again! ;)

4 stars because I like it better than L&L and the other average plate lunch places like it. I get their combos of garlic shrimp and bbq chicken. It’s huge portions for reasonable plate lunch price. What most places would charge $ 10+ for, they charge $ 8-$ 9. Today I got their teri-saimin with French fries and a drink. All for $ 8! Super large portion for each! Their fries were yummy and the saimin!!! The saimin noodles were just the way I like it – thin, and because it’s Chinese owned it was like won ton noodles. They put lots of chunks of teri beef in their. I would get it again! Their food is made pretty quick too. I haven’t waited more than 7 minutes at the most. Lots of people in the kitchen!

Used to come here when it was Bob’s BBQ. Chicken Katsu is consistently good and the Garlic Chicken had good flavor. Other than the Korean Chicken from Zippy’s, this was by far the best plate lunch we’ve had since being on vacation. A must stop on the way from/to the airport.

Sunday, 10−18−15 at about 2 pm Service: Wonderful! The lady at the counter was very pleasant. Food: Leaves much to be desired. I ordered the pork chop and chicken wings combo plate. The chicken wings were good. The pork chop was not a pork chop, but instead a piece of very dry ham steak. Please change«pork chop» to «ham steak» to more accurately reflect what the actual item is. Aloha.

My family is obsessed with there fried chicken wings!!! It says a lot when I am in town and we have been here now twice in the same weekend!!! They have a nice area upstairs to sit down and the food is amazing they do not hold back on the portions that they give! When you do take out for huge parties the pans are over flowing and piled high they also offer different packages! They allow you to swap out as well which is really nice! The staff here is friendly but when you come here a lot they know you haha… Stop in and try this place out you won’t regret it!

Mm-mmm good. My all time favorite is their fried chicken wings! They’re so crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. I always like to get the combo plate with fried chicken wings and their cold ginger chicken. It’s great place to get take out and their price is so reasonable!

At a recent family pot-luck dinner of 10 people, one of my relatives brought a pan of 4 dozen fried chicken wings(2nd section, the part with ulna and radius bones) that was catered by Stadium Giant Malts & Bar-B-Que. It was an interesting choice from this relative, considering how much she really can turnout gourmet quality cuisine from home. Everyone circled around that catering pan like vultures even though their plates were already full of other goodies when my husband dove in to scoop up 4 of these GB&D fried wings on his plate. We were warned that they had just picked up the order so the chicken was still hot out of the fryer hot! Yep, they were heat hot, had evenly crisp skin with barely any coating and the moist meat was lightly seasoned with a hint of Chinese 5-spices. He chomped into the 4 pieces like a hungry dog(sorry, but that’s the best description of him) without saying a word. Before I knew it, he and a couple other relatives had returned to the pan to take more. I could see how much he liked them as the chicken bones were picked clean and were actually«glistening». I almost felt a bit insulted that he returned for more fried chicken than for the other dishes, including mine(I had made a big pot of sherried oxtails). By the end of the evening, all of the wings were eaten! Remembering his enjoyment of those fried chicken wings, when we happened to be in the stadium area yesterday, I suggested we go there ourselves. This restaurant is a «hole-in-the-wall» run by a Chinese family. There is seating available as you walk in and an upstairs loft. We were greeted by a friendly woman as we quickly glanced at their specials but focused in on their chicken wing plate. We both ordered the REGULAR portion that featured 8 wings, 2 scoops of rice and mac salad for $ 7.95. I personally thought the mac salad was sort of bland and had too much mayonnaise but, my husband chowed it down… dang, that guy for staying skinny! Again, his plate lunch just disappeared and only glistening wing bones were left. I won’t say that these were the BEST that I’ve ever tasted but, they were up there. The plate lunches are all bargain priced at $ 7.95 for a regular portion or $ 4.95 for mini. We’ll be back to try more of their menu for sure. #397

We had my daughters birthdays party at ice palace and as long as you purchase a party package, you can bring in outside food(except pizza). So, I ordered the party package«C» from here and substituted a few items. They were happy to accommodate me with the substitutions and everything was wonderful. My package was $ 85 for a pan each of the following… One pan sweet sour spareribs that I subbed for BBQ chicken One pan cold ginger chicken that I subbed for Teri beef ½ pan mahi ½ pan chicken katsu One pan rice The plates and party package are reasonably price and the food is good. This is not the first time I have ordered from them and will definitely not be the last.

Easy to find, parking can be tight, not much seating in the restaurant, but prices can’t be beat. It’s hard to find a plate lunch under $ 10 these days but they have em! …and they don’t skimp on the portions. Food quality is OK — tried the Garlic Chicken and the Loco Moco. I liked the Loco Moco better. Garlic chicken was a little overcooked. Wish I could have tried their chocolate malt — maybe next time I’ll go just for that instead!

So work lunch hits this place about twice a month and really wish they wouldn’t; even for a plate lunch place this place rock bottom. Only getting two stars instead of one as can’t beat the prices, $ 2 for a hamburger for example. Can’t speak to much of the menu as not a plate lunch guy and most if it is the same old garbage you get at L&L but did try the burgers. First time they were ok though nothing special, slightly above McDonald’s quality and taste wise; basically bun, meat, mayo, and a whilted piece of iceberg lettuce. Today though they were inedible with crunchy strands of something that looked like carrots and threw it away half way through. I’m done with this place, next time work goes will pass.

The mountains of steamed rice threw me off! I had the Kalua Pig w/Cabbage. If I would have known it came with that much rice I would have declined it! The pork and cabbage was OK. The macaroni salad was too wet with mayo… The service was b l a h! The young girl behind the counter didn’t manage to smile. This is a hole in the wall!

Order the Kalbi Seafood Combo Plate $ 11, enough for 2-people 3-PC Kalbi Meat, 2-Shrimp Tempura &1-Fish Tempura, 2-scoop rice and scoop of Mac Salad, so ONO!

Average food, for a great price. Well. Let me just start with the macaroni salad. It was excellent. This is just one of those average plate lunch places you eat at. Prices are pretty low. Food is really just like any other plate lunch placs. Portions are huge! Family of 5 couldn’t even finish 4 plate lunches. Everything looks and smells tasty. My family enjoyed the Chicken Katsu the most. Good to eat when you’re in the area, but nothing really special to this place.

1 star for the chocolate malt. They used to have the large size in the 32 oz cup. The large is now in the medium size cup… probably 20 oz I wish I drove further to Teddy’s for their large chocolate peanut butter shake

Cash only! Fast and plenty of food for cheap price! I always call ahead of time for pick up; the lady answers and asks how long it’ll take for pick up to make sure your food is still hot. Their food is okay, nothing special. I would like to reiterate that this place is just a regular«mom & pops» joint; if you are looking for cleanliness and comfort, this is not the place for you. This is the reason why I prefer calling in beforehand and pick up instead of dining in.

It’s hard to rate this place 5 stars because of it’s overall appearance but I must say that their catering/party packs have saved me numerous times when coordinating large parties… excellent price for quality and quantity of food. Over the years their prices have gone up but it’s still extremely reasonable. I have never eaten in the establishment, but even when I pick-up take out the hibachi chicken, mahi mahi, chicken katsu have been my favorite. Parking can be a problem here during Aloha Stadium events so they have started to designate pick-up/take-out parking stalls, It’s good to know that they are advocating for the well-being of their customers. Just remember CASH only!

My daughters skate at the Ice Palace which is just a couple doors down from Stadium Giant Malts and Bar-B-Que so we eat here at least a couple times a month. We absolutely love their bbq chicken plate. To me, it’s the best Hawaiian-style bbq chicken plate in town. The chicken is moist, tender and succulent; the rice is always perfect; and the mac salad is so good that my daughter sometimes asks for a side-order of it if she orders something that doesn’t come with it. The only reason I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is the malts. We actually started going here for the fantastic chocolate malt they served. About a year or so ago, I guess the malt machine broke down. They still serve malts by they are pre-made and frozen. They are honestly not anywhere near as good as what they used to serve. I hope they get their machine fixed someday because I would love to have the malt that I remember once again.
