Mostly women’s clothing but it does have a smattering of Hawaii influenced gifts and accessories that make nice birthday or Christmas gifts. Shopkeeper pleasant and welcoming.

What an awesome store! i stumbled upon super citizen when i was shopping for a simple courthouse wedding dress and im so glad i did. not only was the girl working there super helpful she helped me find a dress that was perfect(& she seemed to be just as excited about my wedding as i am). the dress is ivory with crochet and has a laid back style that is completely unique and was exactly what i was looking for. i love that the store’s concept is to bring in unique clothing for the people of hawaii with the goal being to keep it all local. i will most definitely be going back.

I discovered this fun new store in the Kahala Mall a few wks ago while window shopping. It has a great selection of casual dresses for brunch with the girls or happy hour after work. I tried on several but walked out with a black & white color block, high/lo dress. It has garnered so many compliments for its simplicity and style, I’d buy another if it came in a different color scheme. Great store & will definitely return!

Small but eclectic boutique full of cute, stylish clothes and accessories that are not only chic, but eco friendly. I go there mostly to buy accessories because I couldn’t fit anything they have in stock but I’ve bought outfits for several friends who were very happy and pleased with what I bought.

This store was one of my fav to shop at if I happened to have lunch in down town, I would always stop in to buy eco friendly attire and organic onsies for my daughter! Now I am SOEXCITED to say that Super Citizen is right here in Kahala Mall! It is right next to the Kahala Kids store. Now that I know there is organic tee’s and onsies for babies and toddlers, all of my gifts for the new mommies will definitely come from Super Citizen! I also bought myself a beautiful blue polka dot dress! I love it! The prices are around $ 60-$ 70 a dress and so reasonable especially for good quality! All you ladies that love maxi dresses should stop by here and take a look! They have a great selection on long beautiful dresses! This store is airy and spacious, clean and a hip atmosphere, huge clean fitting rooms, no clutter like the tenants in there before them… overall awesomeness! The owners are a couple from Hawaii! Sandra helped me this past recent visit! Her husband helped me choose organic onsies at the down town location when I was pregnant and searching for organic baby gear! They have GREAT taste in organic clothing for babies and toddlers, and great taste in style and fashion! I hope they stick around for a loooong time! I ultimately love locally owned companies! Lots of Kudo’s for ultimate friendly customer service from these two amazing people! I will shop here in the near future to see whats new next week!

As of March 28, 2012, they’ve closed up shop in Chinatown! However, they plan on opening a new store in Kahala Mall sometime in April 2012. They don’t know the exact date, so it’s all TBA(To Be Announced). The owner, Sandra Fowler, sent out the e-mail last month. Came here just one time last month + was enamored by all of the cute, eco-friendly assortment of products available. It’s mostly clothes, but also a smattering of bags and purses made by local artists, jewelry, soap, liquid hand soap, some kitchenware, and hand sanitizer. Had a $ 25 gift card + ended up walking out with a 16-oz bottle of Malie Organics liquid hand soap in the plumeria scent($ 20). Pricey for liquid hand soap, but it smells ahhh-mazing when I wash my hands. It’s potent, so a little goes a long way, and I’m still using it after 2 – 3 months now? I tend to wash my hands a lot since I’m anal about cleaning(hence, my hale is always in a state of being cleaned) + have 4 animals living inside. It doesn’t dry out or irritate my skin, too. «Ohhhhh myyyyyyy gawwwwsssssh…» That’s usually what I say when I walk into a store or a restaurant that I am automatically feelin RIGHT when I walk in. And that’s the expression I said when I walked in with my roommate Amanda C. one day down in Chinatown(we had to go in ’cause they had the Incubus poster on the wall). Sandra the owner, was sooooo nice when we walked in and was just talkin story with us about the store, Incubus and different knick-knacks we picked up as we browsed. She tries to get as much goodies from local designers as possible, which is always a plus one in my book. And I also like that it looks like it wasn’t just made for tourists either(shells work once in a while…). Most of the jewelery and accessories look like they walked out of Urban Outfitters or Anthropologie(a look I tend to really like). I purchased some fabulous shoulder length black feather earrings and got a great deal…$ 10 for a $ 20 gift certificate. Soooo the next time I came back(not even a week later) I returned for a fabulous vinyl bow tie fanny pack. UMMMYESPLEASE. It’s pink and glittery and screams Lauren S. Thank you Sandra and your fabulous store for perfect quirky accessories, adorable clothes and a great alternative to crappy big boxes. go here, trust.

For the longest time, I was dying to check out the eco-friendly store: Super Citizen; but I’m usually in Chinatown at night. I started to feel a little depressed cause I’d pass the store’s super cute window displays & feel sad that Super Citizen wasn’t open at night. After numerous months, I was finally able to visit Super Citizen in the daytime & I got to touch all of their clothes, accessories & «green» products that looked/felt even better in person. I think most people do little things to help the environment; I try my best to do my part & «Go Green» by reusing magazines & flyers as part of my «Mail Art» project. I recycle paper, bottles & cans & help reduce the landfill by donating clothing & books + I’ll proudly show off something I bought at the thrift store. However, my contributions seem tiny compared to Sandra Fowler, owner of the environmentally friendly store: Super Citizen. I believe this sustainable lifestyle store continues to do an amazing job helping with the«green movement.» Super Citizen is located on the outskirts of Mark’s Garage & offers fun + easy ways to help the environment; the clothing offered in the store is either organic, made from recycled materials: wine bags or recycled water bottles. Some of the purses carried within the store are constructed from vintage Kimonos; they also have notebooks made from sugarcane pulp. But my favorite thing about their clothes is the denim: skirts, jackets & jeans are made from remnants of denim that’s been collected all over the world. If the denim wasn’t reused, it would’ve been burned. Sandra reminds me of a modern day Captain Planet & I think she answered what a sustainable lifestyle is best, «Every tiny bit counts, whether it’s bringing your own re-usable bottle of water to work or driving an electric car… everyone’s contribution matters, whether it’s big or small.» I doubt we’ll be able to save the environment in one day; but being smarter about our actions & what we purchase are tiny steps that help the bigger picture. If you want to help the«green movement» but you’re not sure where to start & happen to be in Chinatown, make sure that a visit to Super Citizen is on your list of things to-do; their products are for the(new/experienced) eco-conscious consumer.
