Sweet Memory Chocolates

My friend and I came in for ice cream today, and we met this sweet old man, who was really kind and generous to us. He gave to us creamy high end delicious ice cream. You can get cups and cones, and he can put toppings too. He has excellent customer service to all, and is very convenient. He walks around outside and greets people, and offers his services without being pushy. It’s great to have ice cream on a hot day, and with such a kind man there’s nothing more better to do there then have a great sweet tooth in the middle of the court with shade. You should try him out, I work with ice cream and I go to many places but never have I seen a better store and owner then him. He is the sweetest man you’ll ever meet. Please spread the world and visit his cute store. He has gourmet desserts, ice cream, cute sweet gifts for all, stuffed animals everywhere, cute huge bears outside to greet people, cheap drinks, and much much more! 5 STARS and I’d give more! Like I said SPREAD THE WORD. Aloha tower is pretty much empty, and he could use your business! I don’t want it to go close!!! Every time I go there its the first and only store I ever go to. Too bad he isn’t located in alamoana or I’d see him everyday. If you are a dessert lover, this is the place! Aloha tower is on a pier and its a great place to laze around and watch the water. Give him a try! I bet you’ll be back! Especially people that work downtown. You just have to cross the street to aloha tower to have a nice dessert. Great café ;)

(Dined 1÷10÷12 TU): I always have a sweet tooth that needs to be fed, and this place just happen to get in my path on the way to boarding the Golden Princess to her next port!
As if I didn’t eat enough already while in Honolulu for a full day while on a cruise, but the sad walk back to the ship, I needed to delay the inevitable, so as I walked through Aloha Towers, I noticed Sweet Memory Chocolates was still one of the few stores that was open close to 8pm.
My first impression after I climbed the flight of stairs to get to this place was that it once was a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory, based on how the store was laid-out…but I could be wrong. After being greeted by the sole gentleman in the store, I asked for some recommendations that included alcohol, coconut, mango, guava, or papaya. After pointing out some suggestions around this relatively small store (I ignored the sugar-​free selection; what’s the point!?), I made my random selections of a mango bark bar ($ 5.00), and some alcohol-​infused chocolate rounds (about $ 2.50 ea). When everything was said and done, I walked away with a smile on my face and a small bag of sweet treats. I was good and waited until I got back onto the ship and into my cabin. Once there, it was on!
Alcohol-​infused chocolates where the first to be had, and such a wonderful taste in my mouth one savory bite after another. I tried my best to smaller bites to prolong the pleasure, but no such luck. Before I knew it, all I had left was the mango bark bar. Now that was a true treat, and much easier to control myself because of it’s scare shape with better angles to chip away at. How an you go wrong with mango and anything?! You can’t! Mango is food from the Gods! Needless to say, by the end of the evening, all was gone and I was left licking my fingers and tracking down any remnants left in the bag. It was a good buy!
The service was excellent, but it better be since I was the only customer and I think the store was about to close.
Parking is ample since you are at the Aloha Towers. Plus, you can also park on surrounding side streets and walk it. Heck, it’s Hawaii, so walk it!
Overall, this impulse buy was a thumbs up with all of the delectable goodies. Outside of the more localized offerings they had, many just reminded me like any other chocolatier place back here on the mainland. I feel there is value here as noted by the prices I quoted above (total bill was around $ 11 before tip), and worth every penny. It’s a chocolatier shop, so the atmosphere is completely casual, and you are along the water. There is no place to sit inside, but there are places outside. Unfortunately, they don’t take my credit card of choice… AMEX!

This place is upstairs in the Aloha towers down from bikini cantina. It’s small but has find of Yummy chocolate options. The truffles in all the various animal shapes are super cute and tasty. The ono bar is incredible. They have some samples to try and free dum dum suckers for the kids. The older gentlemen that was behind the counter tonight was so sweet to my kids. I will definitely be back here.

Really Unilocal?I go to write my review after indulging in a little chocolate treat this afternoon and the sponsored ad is for Jenny Craig? Great now I’m really feeling guilty, but that truffle was so delicious that I think it’s worth a little guilt. While waiting on my mom (she was getting a massage) I decided to wander around Aloha Tower and stumbled upon Sweet Memory Chocolates. Chocolate makes me happy, a store filled with chocolate makes me really happy.
As Mel G. has said the shop is filled with chocolate fudge, covered pretzels, bark, truffles, etc. The also have smoothies and boba drinks as well, and the man that worked there was kind enough to make me a lychee shake since I’m pretty particular about my boba and this didn’t seem like the best place to enjoy that particular drink. The lychee shake was good, but I wish it had more lychee flavor to it. I can’t complain too much though since this was a drink he made on the fly for me using their lychee ice cream, as an added bonus he was really generous and my cup was filled to overflowing. A++ for friendly customer service! As if my shake was not indulgent enough, I also purchased a caramel and sea salt chocolate truffle. The truffle was somewhat pricey, but I thought that the price was justified given the size of the truffle (about half the size of a large egg). The juxtaposition of sweet and salty flavors was absolutely irresistible, and the caramel had a nice almost fudge like consistency. My only complaint is that there wasn’t enough sea salt on the truffle, I would have loved being able to taste the salty contrast in every bite. This was a decadent treat that I thoroughly enjoyed!

Neat little chocolate shop with lots of treats such as chocolate covered pretzels, various nut barks, gummies, ice cream and the list goes on. The thing that caught my eye were the truffles. In the glass case in the back are the cutest truffles and rows upon rows of them. I got the lemon angelfish which was very refreshing and deliciously lemony, the orange lady bug which was smooth and creamy orange, and the chocolate lab and creepy kitty which were light and dark chocolate. Super cute and melt in your mouth delicious.
They were a little pricey for chocolates (it’s Aloha Tower, what do you expect) but it was worth it to try. The service lady was quiet and did not go out of her way to help/​ask questions/​be friendly, but they do validate parking. Cash only.
