First time visiting this studio this morning for a Reformer Pilates class and I’m in love!!! The facility is easy to find with plenty of parking. The inside of the studio was beautiful and clean as well making for a comfortable workout environment. Alicia was the instructor and she was very sweet and made sure to make adjustments to everyone in the class to ensure everyone’s safety and that our posture was on point. This was a great way to get myself back into Pilates after teaching for two years and being out of it for 3 – 4 years. Having to recondition my body back to this kind of a workout is challenging but I definitely enjoyed it and will be back next week. Thanks so much for the wonderful session Alicia!!!

This pilates studio is amazing! I have been coming to Lauren and her team of other very skilled instructors for years. They offer group and private classes; pilates and yoga. Pilates helped me carry two pregnancies with ease, recover quickly and correct other minor physical issues I’ve had along the way. If you’re looking for a great studio to practice pilates or yoga… look no further, these folks are the BEST!

Excellent way to strengthen and condition your core. Lauren is thorough on proper movement and form. Group classes are great fun and also a fantastic way to add to your workouts regardless if you’re just starting out. Very rewarding feeling after each session.

5 stars! 2 thumbs up! …as a baby boomer looking for the holy grail of fitness, «The Firm» has provided me that and more. First of all, the facility’s layout provides a separate studio for private Pilates Training and one for Group Lessons. I have found that most health clubs and Pilates Facilities simply utilize their group studios for private lessons. However, the Firm’s Private Studio has all of the Pilates Equipment in a separate, private room! And of course, conveniently located in Hawaii Kai, there is an abundance of «Free» Parking! From working with Lauren for over a year, I’ve found her to be the best of instructors. Lauren just doesn’t show you the movements, but she breaks down each movement into the simplest piece, explaining the cause and effect of each. Lauren has also provided me exercises that I can easily perform on my own and she checks in to make sure that I am doing them correctly. I am also in agreement with previous reviewers, Kelly and Marlene, in that Lauren has made me much more aware of my body alignment. Having the correct body positioning in both my workday(sitting in front of a computer!) and in sports(from surfing to basketball to golf) has eliminated any pains that I had. Training with Lauren has resulted in a stronger core(4 pack working on a 6 pack!), greater flexibility and better balance. My Paddling Technique has greatly improved and I now combine greater balance with a more powerful stroke, all the while reducing the stress on my lower back. My best testimonial is that Lauren’s training helped me complete both this year’s Molo’kai Hoe(41 miles) and the«Blue Macua», a 9 mile IronMan OC-6…with better times and without injury! Highly recommend!!!

I’ve recently started taking Pilates classes in Melbourne. Australia and learned of The Firm Pilates from a friend. During a recent visit to Honolulu, I enrolled in Lauren’s class and it was one of the best Pilates workouts I have ever had. She focusses on proper body alignment and really helped me learn how to make sure I maintain proper body positions to get the most benefit out of each exercise. I wish my stay in Honolulu was longer so I could take more of her classes. Highly recommend!

I’ve taken Lauren’s class several times and would highly recommend this studio if you’re looking for a new challenge and a stronger core. She’s extremely knowledgeable, focuses on alignment, and really takes the time to work with each student. You’ll work muscles you never knew existed and have a lot of fun doing it!
