Only recently have I become a Tumi fan. I guess getting older means you can’t see yourself spending exorbitant amounts of money on say Louis Vuitton. Tumi is pricey but not outrageous. The look is clean and of high quality. The store is small and didn’t have a wallet I was looking for that I saw online. I wanted to see it in person before ordering. Oh well. SERVICE: Good. We were greeted and helped.

I’m in the market for a laptop briefcase. I’ve always liked Tumi products. When I got to the store I was greeted with a dismissive, «Are you looking for something in particular?» No warmth, no smile. I asked if the wall of briefcases was where the briefs were all located, since I was forced into conversation with an unfriendly person. The salesman told me, «Yes, they’re all over here.» As I walked towards the display he walked in front of me and automatically picked the smallest bag, telling that it was the most popular. He wouldn’t let me handle the bag on my own. Then when I proceeded to tell him that I was interested in the larger bag, he got that one off of the display. I was still not«allowed» to handle the bag. I asked what size laptop would fit in the bag and he told me a 13″ would fit. A quick Google search showed me that it would fit up to a 15″ screen macbook. The bag seemed well made(like all Tumi products). However, I can’t tell you 100%, since I was not allowed to handle the bag. My computer won’t fit in the laptop pocket anyway. I will say this, with his combination of horrible customer service and lack of knowledge about his own products, that salesman has convinced me to buy my Tumi products online versus face to face. I did have my 7 year old with me, but parents have jobs too. And if a travel bag can’t withstand handling by a child, it’s not worth buying anyway. If you decide to go into this store, I hope your experience is better than mine.

I often walk into the store and see that the bags are designed for people on the go… but I just can’t seem to get myself to pay the price for their products. Maybe if when I get a real job, I’ll be able to afford one with regretting that I paid so much for it. Unilocal 365 Challenge #272/365

Received very bad service … I was the only person there. When I walked in, there was no ‘hi’ or ‘welcome’. Very cold… I found what I am looking for by myself… No «thank you» after I paid. The two sales person were very rude. I used to like the people there but not this time. People like them don’t belong working there. I was very upset & disappointed. So after work, I decided to return my purchase. Because I rather spend my money at somewhere I feel good & satisfied with their SERVICE. That too me is VERY important.
Any time I’m at the Mall, I will stop by and see what’s new. Rick L. said it well: It’s smartly designed, stylish and fashionable yet not screaming«I’m like everyone else that have the typical product, I’m different and not another clone.»
