UYE Hangover at the Beach

OMG. My feet are itchy from the ants!
After a night of drinking at Unilocal’s glow in the dark elite event… I’m really not sure how I got up at 6am, and loaded Bubs truck with all our gear. I was in serious need of a couple more hours of sleep… but a 5 minute nap after setting everything up was good enough for this fun-​filled day. As soon as we got alcohol back into my system, I was up and running like a champ.
It’s always a blast hanging out with these crazy yeeps. Food, drinks, jokes, laughs and endless conversations on upcoming ideas for UYE’s. Can’t wait for our next get together :)

Thanks for sending out the invites and welcoming all who came. Wendall and I gas a great morning hanging out, and managed to leave at just the right moment – after trying the blood sausage but before the sun baked us the color of said sausage!

You know you had a great time when you hangover lasts for two days. That’s exactly what happens when your one night party ends up going on for one night plus a whole day! A full day at the beach under a couple of tents, sipping some oolong Iichiko, and watching the sparkle of the water in a comfy chair is my idea of a nice day.
Much mahalos to Les and Susan for getting up so early and bringing everything down! I don’t know how you guys do it, but I really appreciate all you do! A lot of thanks to Roy Y for cooking all day. You make some really good eats.
Seeing everyone again and spending time together was good times! I look forward to meeting up again. Hopefully it won’t be another two day hangover.

You would think this group could not possibly carry on another day of party after a big event last night. The fact is that we could just go on and on and on. What a great way to hangover on a nice beach to bunch of great friends and food.
Les/​Susan: you guys are the bombs. Thanks for going to the park to get the space and to bring all the sxxx with you. We owe you big time. Les, you also worked as a bus boy to get us coffee and more booze… lol. No one could have topped that.
Roy: you did a killer job grilling all the proteins and veggie. Almost everyone (except Seleena) was going after the blood sausage.
Next time can someone figured out the proper way to slice the beef… lmao, without potentially chopping off someone’s else fingers. Esteban, stopped waving the knife like in a kung-​fu movie.
What a nice way to end the weekend!

I seriously don’t know any group that can be hanging and still throw a fabulous UYE! Yeah only the ubber Elites… Les, Susan, Esteban, Art, Derrick, Roy, Selena, Adrian and Gary of course!
I got here a little after 12 because the parking is horrendous, I was in my car for a good 30 minutes and the weather itself was just unbearable. Luckily Les was kind enough to help me find parking and then this dude walks by and ask if I was looking for parking and he told me where he parked and waited for me to get there. What a guy… I would have seriously flaked out if I didn’t find a parking by then.
Finally got out of the car and we had such a great spot right in the beginning of Magic Island behind the lifeguard 1E. I think :(Everyone looked awesome, couldn’t tell if anyone was still hungover… well maybe because it was the shades that we used to hide our red eyes!
It was the perfect setting, great sun, the fresh air, the hear of the ocean and great company! There were tons of alcohol and food to go around. The conversations are always cool, funny and useful and sometimes a little inappropriate but thats just us having a great time.
There were lots of pictures and videos taken so I’m sure there will be evidence of Roy can cook and Derrick can cook mini episodes. Oh and keep an eye out for our Unilocal Sesame Street Episode. It is always a great time with these yeeps and can’t wait for the next one :) Ahh the memories that will carry unto the next one.
