This salon goes above and beyond what is expected. Not only do they do beautiful work, but they provide a wonderful experience. My nails get wonderful comments and I couldn’t be happier. Will definitely be going back.

I absolutely love this nail salon! I have been to several all over the island but I have never been disappointed with the service I receive at VIP nails!
Everyone is very friendly, kind, and considerate. They are professional as well as artistic! Every time I come in with a design idea, they exceed my expectations!
Personally, my favorite is Carol. She is very sweet, and also very efficient! I have come in for gel nails and fills and every time Carol finishes the job in less than an hour. Most importantly, she pays attention to detail! I have had so many compliments on my nails, and many people have asked if they are real! (Which they are not).
I would definitely recommend this salon to anyone visiting hawaii since it is very close to Waikiki, and also would recommend this to salon to every local girl because the quality of service is unbeatable! I already have my next appointment set up

I live all the way in Waipahu, but coming to McCully for this place is so worth it. It’s only my second time getting my nails done here but I was satisfied the first time and even more satisfied this time! Wanted something simple and nude and Jamie suggested I get the nude powder that they have. My nails feel so pretty and I love the service here too! I will definitely be making a trip here every time I’m in need of a new set of nails.

Truthfully, I had no idea what I walked myself into when I came here, but I am so glad I ended up here. If you have not yet found your go-​to nail place, LOL… wyd?
I never did expect that walking through the door of this place, I would have met some great, OUT OF THIS WORLD, very patient and experienced people… I walked into this place not knowing any of the employee’s and on my way out I received a few hugs and «I love you’s» as well. It was honestly such a comfortable and laid-​back type of vibe in there. I can’t get over the workers and how skilled they are. I wouldn’t mind coming back every couple weeks to see these girls — OH! — and for my fill of course!
I got my usual acrylic-​gel nails done, by the way. I don’t have a picture because I don’t usually take pictures of my nails, especially since I most likely always get my nails done, but trust me, they were pretty! I loved it. My nails were beautiful and still are, keeping in mind that this review is two weeks late, so yes, I am going back to get my fill in soon! But the nails are doing well so far, and I do use my hands a lot. They’re lasting a bit longer than I expected honestly.
Bottom line —- I LOVE!

This was my first time here and I really couldn’t be happier with my experience at V.I.P. Nails. I called in to see if they were open and Cici answered the phone; she was professional and very friendly. As soon as I came in I was welcomed by Cici and immediately assisted. Cici was helpful and very attentive to what I wanted and everything I asked for. She was thorough and paid close attention to my nails and made sure each one was to my liking. She even made sure to be as close to the design (which was from a picture I had on my phone) as possible. And I was able to utilize the 5% discount from Unilocal which made the whole experience that much nicer. Cici kept my whole appointment fun and the end result was pure perfect. I’ll definitely come back again and I highly recommend Cici!

I come here for the pedi (VIP selection) and I always have Jamie whom I knew for quite sometime. Great service, personable and very sweet person. Love her.
Prices are very reasonable too. Call them to see if they’re busy bcuz most times they are. Always a pleasure going to them.

Shout out to CiCi and her crew at VIP! Thank you for being able to accommodate our Bridal Celebration party of 8 on a Sunday! They went over and above and provided champagne and refreshments to enjoy while being pampered. In addition to beautifying our nails, you made us feel so comfortable! Thank you again… My new go to spot!

CiCi is skilled and friendly! This shop is clean and offers hundreds of polish color choices. They also offer an array of nail art and charms!

VIP nails were able to fit me in at the last minute on Memorial Day. I have to give them kudos for being open on time (in fact, it was a bit before opening hours when I called) and with a full staff on a public holiday. They did a really good job too. I chose my colors, then Carol gently suggested that I try ombré instead of having a solid color which I gladly agreed with. I was really pleased with the results. Carol spent time on my toes (which were a bit gnarly after a bad pedicure a while back) and was quick and efficient overall. I was really pleased with my gel mani and regular pedi. It was so much better value for money than the hotel spa where I was staying. Also, the discount you get from checking in on Unilocal was a nice bonus. I highly recommend!

Came here last minute and made an appointment for my grandma and I for my grandmas birthday. Mani and pedi and I wanted acrylic and my grandma wanted gel. The pedi was fine she cleaned it and everything. But my manicure wasn’t really even a manicure. She literally just went straight to putting on my acrylics. She didn’t clean my nails or give it any special treatment. It felt like a rushed job. And when I said I was going to pay for both me and my grandma, the worker laughed and felt sorry for me and told me that gel and acrylic are expensive. Which I knew. Did she not think I could afford?
Over all my experience was not that great. Rushed job, and failed customer service.

Love this place. They are always to friendly and happy to accommodate no matter how much time it may take. They are quick and efficient and always do a great job. They treat you like family, that’s what i like best. Today Carol helped me and she is AWESOME!!! Thank you Carol for my last minute gel fill and pedicure!!! You made my weekend!

Normally, I’m pretty bad with getting my nails maintained and wait a year or so. Thankfully, I only waited a little over a month between maintenance. I must say, there is nothing better than having freshly cleaned nails and toes and polished with that newly picked color. When you’re not looking, it will certainly find you or vice versa. That’s exactly what happened when I found VIP Nails. Little did I know, I was parked in front of their door and not noticing this until after I’ve picked up take out.
On their front door is a stand up chalkboard with a few promotions that I remembered.

I thought about it for a few nights before finally trying them as my nails couldn’t wait another year in agony of not getting done. My gels were starting to lift and repeatedly gets caught on my hair. I returned earlier on a Saturday morning and didn’t bother to make an appointment. On the dot at 9am their doors were open and only one lady had been present before me. Without hesitation, Vivian was the first to approach me and seats me on the massage chair for a lengthy service. She was kind to offer a glass of water and tea upon commencing a pedicure. From what seems like 6 well maintained leather massage chairs welcome customers for a nice few hours of pampering in beige with pillows, a purse holder and remote readily available for a relaxing interchangeable massage therapy. Purple walls with silver bamboo silhouettes on the left side sets forth a comfortable mood. On the opposite side are 6 organized manicure stations with a plethora of gadgets, collection of colors (brands from OPI/​ESSIE/​China Glaze, etc.) and hues for all to choose from. I can’t forget to mention all the nail art jewels, nail charms galore and stickers from animé to Star Wars are present. Their gel colors was overwhelmingly fun to look through. Not only from solid neutrals to bold and sparkly shiny fun selections by the number. Vivian had given me a couple of gel color books to look through during the duration of my pedicure. I couldn’t help but thank her each time for being thorough with removing a month worth of cuticles on each toe and for the detailed buffing and scrubbing of all my dry calluses with all the amazing massages. Thankfully this time, I was prepared with what I wanted for my colors. I remained on the bold direction and selected a bright red sparkly shade. After perfectly shaping my toe nails, Vivian applied multiple layers of the shiny red along with the last clear coat. I couldn’t be happier with the appearance. I felt like a true lady with my newly clean and painted toes.
Since I had a banquet to attend to a week prior to this day, I wanted something different for my nails. Vivian intricately removed many weeks worth of cuticles and reshaped my nails to my liking. Gel nail color to match is a must for my LBD with my accessories. Neutral was still my direction but not monotonously plain. I chose to keep the base of my nails clear with playful nail fades of sparkly, shiny golds and browns with the exception of my ring fingers. I’m starting to get adventurous, I think. My ring fingers were to be reserved for some fun nail art. I needed something to match my nails. Jaime is the nail art pro. She referenced a photo I had given her from my phone and worked her wonders free handedly. Jaime immediately knew what I had wanted and like a boss, she made this possible. While she freehandedly decorated, we also conversed. She is super nice! I’ve decided to surprise Alexander G with C3PO on both ring fingers. These amazing nail arts meshed perfectly with my golds.
VIP Nails not only made this entire experience great, but they truly made me feel at home. I had returned a week after my first visit due to clumsy me. I had chipped my one toe and needed a repaint. I returned on a weekday afternoon and ran into Vivian. Vivian serviced me right away without any hesitation. She repainted not only my one toe nail but rechecked to make sure all my colors were even. No longer than 5 minutes my toes were pretty again. I had offered to pay, even with a tip for such an amazing job and service. However, Vivian did not accept. She said as long as I come back, it would make her happy. This made me fall in love with VIP Nails completely. I’ve experienced the total opposite of kindness from other nail places. I’m thankful to have found my new go to place.

I Had a french manicure for my birthday from VIP nails. Simple and elegant. Love the atmosphere of VIP nails. This was my 3^rd time coming in and I will definitely return. My favorite part is pedicure because of the massage chairs they have, perfect relaxation after long day.

I love this shop! My mom has been coming here for over 10 years. I’ve been a frequent customer for a few years now. This is, in my opinion, the best nail shop on the island. The ladies are kind, and they do a great job everytime. This shop is clean and they’re gentle. This last visit, I got a pedicure and gel manicure. And I’m very pleased. Thank you Vivian.
I suggest parking in the below ground parking instead of searching and waiting out front.

Yes. Yes. Yes. Best pedi and mani I’ve had on the island. Been searching for 3 years for a go-​to place. I will drive into town to one back here, for sure.
Super cute place in McCully shopping center. They gave my BF who wanted to tag along a massage chair to chill in while he waited for me (he loved it) and later gave him some wine. Super awesome service!
Came in with some bust up feet and walked out feeling like a princess. Jaimie did my nails – love them. First place I feel like the didn’t try to get me in and out as fast as they could and that the rhinestones are actually going to stay on my nails. Stoked to return next time I need my nails done. So happy!

I had to find a new nail salon since my previous nail tech moved away (wahh!) I stumbled across VIP nails through Unilocal and this place is in walking distance from my place (McCully Shopping Center) so that was a plus.
I of course had to see Jamie as everyone has mentioned. I thought since she was highly sought after; she’d had a limited availability but she was able to take me the day after I made my appt. She has a very polite, warm and friendly personality which you can see as soon as you meet her. I’m very simple and just told her the colors I wanted and she suggested everything else which I really appreciate when nail techs do. She asked me how things looked at each phase and notified me beforehand how much everything would be. I was taken back at how professional and courteous she was and her salon is super chic too.
Really glad I came here and saw her…5/5!

I rarely ever ever give out a 5 star action unless the food is extremely amazing! But, this has nothing to do with food! Lol.
Upstairs is my favorite hair salon I’ve been going to her for 17 – 18 yrs now and I’ve always seen a nail salon right below it but, honestly I tend to drift away if it’s not appealing and recently, I’ve notice a new change and color in this salon and checked out twice before coming again today. There service is amazing!
It’s a very comfortable atmosphere, people in here are so very welcoming, ooohhhh my gosh the massage for spa pedicure is just «WOW» feels sooooo good… never a hit and miss! It’s my new favorite place by far and I’ve been too alot of different nail salon for pedicures. What I like about this place is the quietness, there’s not much diversity of different languages going across from each nail stylist, it’s very personable, and each nail salon gives there undivided attention to you.
I honestly enjoy the exfoliating massage though and I love how Jamie didn’t use gloves for some reason I know they use it to protect their hands but, I just love it when they don’t use it. It feels so much better.
Jamie was so professional, courteous, and amazing in what she does. The bonus is she is soooo gorgeous as well! Totally my new regular spot to come back here again!
