Pretty unique experience for me since I haven’t seen how wine tasting is in person. Now with Wine the Experience, I have had the distinct pleasure to know what goes on behind the scenes in wine making and the fine art of selecting of wine. The atmosphere was inviting and the shop itself seemed casual and contemporary. I liked it quite nicely. I did buy a bottle of wine for later, but the experience was invaluable for future references.

My co-worker invited her nearest and dearest«winos» to a bottling party at this place. She explained briefly to me that she had commissioned a pinot noir, and that myself and a small group of friends would be helping her bottle the wine. I had never been to a wine bottling party so I truly was looking forward to something different and unique. I can honestly say I had a lot of fun and enjoyed this experience. After everyone finally arrived, the«party» began: One of the workers, a polite and knowledgable young lady, explained the process and demonstrated what we’d be doing to help bottle the wine: 1) 1 person to fill the bottles(this was my job!) with a machine that had a built-in sensor to stop filling after a certain level in the bottle was reached. 2) 1 person to cork the bottles(this involved some muscle!) 3) 1 person to place a seal over the cork(this involved a machine that heated seal briefly to be placed over the cork) 4) 1 person to place the label(depending on how particular people are you may want to be somewhat sober when placing the labels on the bottles) 5) 1 or 2 people to pack the finished product Overall it was a wonderful experience. And not to worry you are able to bottle every single drop of wine from the barrel rest assured! NOTES: 1) You’re more than welcome to bring food to accompany your wine. I think this makes the experience all the more enjoyable so you can enjoy, so to speak, the«fruits of your labor.» Bottom Line: An experience wine lovers should enjoy and partake in if given the chance.

This was an interesting little store. When my friend and I showed up, we were actually trying to wineries in Oahu, I still don’t know if there are any. I don’t think so though. This is not a winery but it is a place that has the potential to be a cool first date. You can do a wine tasting for $ 20 a person and then go on to select your favorite wine. At this point, you can select a label that you would like to see on the wine bottles and potentially get several wine bottles with your own label. This is a great idea for a wedding reception where you could put your custom bottle on each table and people will have at your favorite wine. It does take a few months for this to take place so if you’re in a hurry to get your custom bottle I would not recommend it. Definitely a neat place to stop by and see what options you have. It all depends on how you are planning to incorporate wine into your life at that moment in time. It is also, a cool touch that these wines contain no preservatives. They are completely natural.

Such a great experience. For years every October, I would go and select the wine juice I wanted, do the mixing and come back in December to bottle the wine for Christmas gifts. Master Wine maker Shannon, can give you ideas and pointers on what is great for gifts. He is very down to earth and will also host your bottling party… invite them all to help bottle the wine.

A wonderful place where you get to taste your wines, pick one for bottling, create a memorable label, and then have a bottling party! The wines average about $ 15 per bottle, and have no sulfites. Team Shannon makes you feel at home as they help you host your party — and they stage events with pairing tastings, champagne tasting, chocolate tastings… nowhere better to go for Valentine’s Day! Maka and Ipo the pups make you feel right at home, and lend some extra charisma! Make sure to stop by!

Wine the Experience is truly a fantastic experience. Not only do you walk away with a bunch of personalized bottles of wine, but you can also have a truly special and unique party experience while you make your friends and/or family do the work! I have been to a number of bottling parties here that have been a blast. Shannon and his staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and you can truly feel their passion for winemaking. How it works:(from what I’ve heard anyway, I’ve only gone thus far to partake in the bottling experience, not the selecting…) you taste the wines to figure out which wine you would like to select, about 6 – 8 weeks later you gather your friends, bring in a bunch of food, and bottle the wine(customized labels and all). Whatever you manage not to drink during the process, you get to take home. What an awesome concept, right? The last time I was there was for a hula sister’s birthday. We kind of took over the joint complete with impromptu guitar, singing, and dancing. It makes for a wonderful, interactive, hands-on experience and a souvenir to boot.

This past weekend a friend of mine invited me to bottle wine at Wine the Experience. The shop is located in the Kilohana Square and has ample room for several groups. While our group of 12 was bottling wine, there was another group standing at the bar doing a tasting. The shop has a very laid back kind of atmosphere with employees wearing shorts and someone’s dog roaming around the shop. I’ve been to one other wine bar and one of the differences I noticed is that Wine the Experience is not only a place where you can taste and bottle wines but it also serves as a shop where you can buy wine by the bottle, as well as find wine accessories. Of course you can do tastings which I saw run for $ 20, which is a little more expensive than the other bar I went to, but I didn’t get the chance since my friend and her boyfriend did that part of the«experience» for Valentine’s Day. However, the one that we bottled and drank plenty of was their White Merlot and it was DELICIOUS! So, the get together was really for my friend and her boyfriend’s motorcycle club and I just tagged along. As a result, they did most of the work while I took pictures. There was a brief introduction to wine bottling and then the group took their positions in an assembly like production and began filling the bottles with wine, corking, sealing, labeling and packing the 30 or so bottles. The whole experience was pretty quick due to the number of people we had but I was able to get in there and got a chance to seal the cork using a machine that’s pretty similar to doing shrink wrap and labeled a few bottles. After we finished bottling we all hung out, talked story, ate the pupus we brought and sipped our White Merlot until they kicked us out a little after 9p.m. Overall it was a good experience at Wine the Experience

Wine the Experience is a wonderful place where you can enjoy their wine tasting events, host a party or just drop in and buy a bottle of wine for a party. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend this place to host a fun evening. People can socialize and have a great time bottling the wine(it sounds so much more difficult than it really is) while enjoying the wines at the same time. They don’t serve food there, so you can bring in whatever you so chose. If you get on their mailing list, they inform of the different wine tasting events they host pretty regularly. This is a great way to learn about the wines and have a nice night with friends.

a couple did this for a Savoir Faire events wedding recently and used the half bottles as their favors for the family tables and it was adorable! they made custom labels with their family crest — so personal and cute! the kids even helped cork the bottles so it was fun for the whole family!

Wine the Experience is awesome. We have been bottling(and drinking) there for years. We have done 3 or 4 Christmas wines, a wedding wine, a bridal shwoer wine, a 60th brithday wine, a going away party wine, and more. We can’t get enough of this place. Shannon and his staff are amazing, helpful and so knowledgable. Melissa, the manager, is so friendly and helpful. They have sucha huge variety of wines and creating a custom label is always fun. We constantly get rave reviews when we give people the wine that we have bottled there. They also have two wine dogs that are friendly and greet every customer. We always have a blast here — I can’t wait for us to go and select our wine for this Christmas!

I had previously been in to ask about a restroom, and not been sure what was up with the place, but the other night we went for a wine and chocolate tasting, which ended up being fantastic. The tasting was cheap, 10 bucks for about 5 glasses of wine, with samples of hand made chocolates. They were so good that four bars of chocolate, and two bottles of wine ended up coming home with us, even though shannon, the owner barely made it clear that there was wine other than what was being sampled. He is thinking about doing more wine and chocolate nights, and possibly other paring nights, and at the moment there is only room for about 20 people at a time, so it stays nice and intimate. Send him an e-mail and tell him you want more wine paring nights, then go make your own barrel of wine :)

My boyfriend and I had an awesome time bottling wine here tonight. We ended up with 29 custom labeled bottles of Piesporter(we drank 1 bottle while bottling). The staff was super friendly and it was just a great atmosphere. It takes roughly 6 — 8 weeks to do your own bottling(at least for us) so make sure you plan ahead! The wine tasting is great too. That’s when you get to decide which wine you wanna bottle :)

You sample tasty wines and from these samples decide which wine you will make. They put it in a giant bottle and wa-la, you’ve made wine! Make a fancy label, bring some pupus and friends and enjoy! $ 300 bucks gets you 30 bottles! well, minus what you drank, which in my case can be quite substantial…
