Auto Re-Nu-It

I MUST review this auto body shop because I cannot stand to see that t only has one star. I am about to drop my car off at this shop for the second time and I am absolutely thrilled that if I must be going through this its with this shop. The first accident was related to a bear running into the road and totally damaging the side of my car, the whole process of getting it towed and getting my rental was seamless! Auto Re-​Nu-​It estimated the amount of time it would take and they stuck to that time period. When I had to deal with another shop in the past they kept extending the amount of time they needed to keep the car and it was a nightmare.
I could go on and on about this shop, but just know you are in good hands. They work with multiple insurances, as I’ve had to use my insurance and then another persons when they damaged my car and there was no issue either time. They set up my rental for me so that it would be at the shop at the time of my arrival. They communicate effectively and honestly. No one enjoys having to bring there car to an auto body shop but if you have to this is the place to go!

This place is sketchy! I needed a side view mirror replaced as well as a few scratches buffed out. This was suppose to cost just under $ 200 and take an hour and a half. I showed up for my appointment and prepared to wait the hour and a half. 15 min later (an hour and 15 min early) I was told they were done. They put the mirror on (poorly) and did nothing to the scratched. It was explained to me that the scratched would not buff out and that a new estimate needed to be done. I didn’t understand how an hour and a half became 15 min and asked the guy who does their estimates. He stonewalled me and skirted around the question. He took about 15 more min to write a new estimate. They handed me the new estimate and collected my deductible and then gave me a hand written receipt that said nothing about any work done or what I was paying for. At this point I felt the place was sketchy at best and no longer wanted to do business with them.
Once I looked at the new estimate these feeling only intensified! The hour and a half job that should have cost $ 192 suddenly became a job lasting 5 days and costing $ 1309. I immediately contacted my insurance company and worked out with them how to get away from this shady business. I would recommend people avoid this establishment.
