Excellent breakfast buffet. Omelette station-we had the crab omelette and it was full of meat. Full array of fruit, and yogurts and cereals, oatmeal bar with premium nut and fruit toppings, fresh artisanal bread/bagels/pastries, lox with toppings, Cox family ham, Conecuh sausage, slab bacon, Oak view farm stone ground grits, fruit nectars, fabulous coffee with cream at every table, real butter, real jams and jellies, waffles with toppings, french toast. Really great service. Casual dress. Completely worth the money,

Make sure you read the reviews for this place carefully. Many are not for Brock’s. They are reviews of the spa that has nothing to do with Brock’s. We went for the Sunday brunch. Super super disappointed. All my server had to do is get my drinks and get rid of dirty plates. He was friendly but this task seemed too much for him. The food itself was so so. For $ 35 a person I should have been wowed. It wasn’t bad it just wasn’t worth the drive let alone the price. At noon they started serving Mimosas. Not a single one was included in the price. Most places give you one. Also they started juicing the oranges on an electric juicier. I don’t have a problem with this other then it was LOUD and out front in the prep area. I had to listen to that thing non stop for the last 30 min of the meal. I was so disappointed when we left. Maybe dinner is better but I won’t be giving it a chance.

The food was delicious! I ordered the Salmon and Brie salad and loved it, the only thing that kept me from that fifth star is that the service was so-so. Not bad but not necessarily great either. My friend has been going to eat here for years and he decided to take me out and I’m so glad he took me to this new place! All in all, we had a really nice dinner. I’m hoping to be back in the not-so-distant future!

Ok food. Sliders tasted odd. It was very expensive. Would not recommend unless you are playing golf there and are grabbing a quick bite.

We enjoyed Christmas Eve dinner and Christmas brunch at Brocks. Dinner was good, although not worthy of the pricing, even taking into consideration the resort overhead. A one star deduction for lack of value. So, I have to deduct stars for value. I had the pasta carbonara, which was fine but nothing special. Overall, it was bland and lite on bacon. And a one star deduction. My brother-in-law had the beef filet, which was excellent but $ 20 more than it should have been. Jessica took care of us. I think she is management, but it being Christmas Eve, she jumped in to keep things moving. In any event, she was very gracious and hospitable. The brunch was excellent, and while I probably will never eat $ 20 of breakfast food in one sitting, I gave a valiant effort. The croissant French toast was delicious, as was the conecah sausage(really the best sausage in all the land). Ross bridge is a very nice facility, beautiful grounds, and a good place to park for a few days if you need to.

Awful awful awful. We ordered flatbread, spaghetti bolognese, and chicken pasta bake. The flatbreads were cold and undercooked. The pasta bake was clumpy and dry. The bolognese was very bland. For the prices we paid, I would have expected something much better. Shame on Ross Bridge!

The Mr. and I decided to end the holiday weekend at the spa and this place is located in our ‘hood so the location couldn’t be more convenient. When you pull into the hotel parking lot the signs for the spa are easy to follow. park on the far right of the hotel and you can easily spot the entrance to the spa(and avoid having to go through the hotel and getting lost). The check-in was easy, and we didn’t have to fill out any paperwork which I found a little odd, but I appreciated it :) The reception area of the spa has lots of things for purchase; clothes, make-up, candles, skincare products, lotions, etc. There really isn’t much seating while you wait to be escorted back to the lounge so at least there is lots of stuff to look at. The men’s and women’s area are separate so don’t plan on lounging in the spa with your mate. each area includes whirlpool, steam room, showers, and two lounge areas to relax(no sauna here). The steam room was super steamy and hot — I really enjoyed it. I didn’t go into the whirlpool, but it looked bubbly and warm. I did relax in the chairs around the whirlpool while waiting to be called for my treatment. Oversized wooden chairs that don’t look comfy, but are. You can also find several magazines scattered on the tables if you are looking to do some reading. The other lounge room includes water, coffee/tea and some trail mix. I also noticed a menu of snacks, including wine — looks like you can order something while you enjoying the amenities(for a fee). I enjoyed a 75 minute hot stone massage and the Mr. enjoyed a 75 minute deep tissue massage. We both really enjoyed our experience and felt very relaxed at the end of the treatment. Both masseuses applied the right amount of pressure. I ended my visit with a warm shower(awesome water pressure!) and their complimentary Aveda products. The shower area includes several amenities so you don’t need to bring much with you. razors, shampoo/conditioner, comb, toothbrush, q-tips, etc. Check out was just as easy as check-in. just sign your receipt, add the tip and you’re done.

Great ambiance within the Renaissance Birmingham Ross Bridge Golf Resort with good food to follow. We had gone for a week-day brunch before. Nicely prepared dishes… shrimp and grits, benedicts, etc, but we felt just«good» for the price on the menu. There were just a few tables at the time we went but service was extremely slow and some of the dishes were incorrect. We would definitely go back, but not necessarily go out of our way to get there ;)

Today I got a little spa time in with my sister. We each had massages and additional services. She opted for the pedicure and I for the mini facial. The place itself is lovely. Being a resident of Atlanta, I am familiar with a lot of «Spas» so it was pleasant to arrive at a place where from start to finish they treated you like royalty. Even though we only booked two services each we were given robes and shoes and told we could enjoy all of the amenities for the day. We spent time in the whirlpool, read and relaxed in the guest area, and finished up in the steam room. I felt pretty accomplished as I was able to read, send emails, catch up on work and then just do nothing for an ENTIRESUNDAY! Talk about getting refreshed before work! The rooms themselves were kept clean and well stocked. If an employee was coming in at anytime to clean or replenish they always checked on myself, my sister and the other guests. There was water, tea, and snacks ready and available to each of us along with popular magazines, ottomans, towels, and other items to be comfortable. The bathrooms and showers were never crowded and came fully equipped. We even had the option to brush our teeth there if we wanted. Each of our services were pretty decent. For the massages please be warned… if you know your stuff and want an experienced massuess I’d ask for them specifically and be sure to stress that when you are booking the appointment. They were just«ok» this afternoon and while that may sit well with some people, I don’t like paying $ 125 for a deep tissue massage that doesn’t relax me or make a difference. I’m a serious athlete and I stress that no matter what place i go to, so I expect them to deliver. My massuess was awkward and clumsy. I was glad when that part of the day was over. My aesthetician however did a GREAT job on my mini facial. She was conversational but not too talkative, very gentle, and thorough. Next go round I’m trying a body treatment and a longer facial. I think it’s safe to say I’ll stick with my regular massuess at home. I don’t want to risk disappointment anymore. Overall great place! Just know what to expect with certain services and you’re golden. Not too bad for Birmingham, AL.

Breakfast at Brock’s was fantabulous! My husband & I celebrated our 11 anniversary, & we slipped away from our busy schedules &3 sons! We felt like a prince & princess having breakfast in a castle! We love the omelet bar, array of fruit, & this Alabama, Mississippi girl can never pass up delicious cheese grits! The organic blueberry muffin was scrumptious! Overall, there was a plethora of favorite breakfast choices, & everything we tasted was delectable! In case you didn’t know, this review was written by Billy’s wife– I still feel like a newly wed! The breakfast buffet is to DIEFOR! I love the omelet station, the chefs are always so friendly. Dinner is amazing as well! Definitely recommend the antipasti plate, or have the wonderful servers recommend something to you!

Good, not great. Doesn’t meet the service and standard of other fine dining establishments in the same price range. It’s a good option if you are staying at the resort and don’t want to drive 15 minutes to eat elsewhere. Positives: asparagus salad, desserts. Negatives: Caesar salad, had to send fish back twice for being undercooked.

The food was excellent. I had the scallops. He had the steak. Both were fabulous. Service was great. The chef kept coming out to make sure everyone had what they wanted. We also had a couple of appetizers. They were SMALL, but I guess they are appetizers. The entrees are a better value, tho the caprese salad was delicious as was the four cheese flatbread, but, like I said, not quite the value for the $$. We also had the breakfast brunch the following morning. $ 17, worth it! Great variety, omlette bar, lox, fruit, GRITS(it is Alabama), and everything else you could possible want. Super friendly service as well.

Pretty good resort/golf club dining… This is the restaurant at Ross Bridge Resort… much better than the average hotel restaurant. Great service — our waiter was very attentive and helpful. They claim to be Mediterranean, but there were plenty of «Steak and Potatoes» type offerings. Upscale surroundings and décor. Nice views… Four of us ate dinner. Started with a huge selection of Antipasti — Mushrooms, Dried Tomatoes, Roasted Garlic, Prosciutto, Bresaola, Manchego, some dried ham, etc… Great Mediterranean starter. They had a column of cheeses, one of meats, one of vegetables. We got the«pick three from each column» selection for $ 14. Excellent. We skipped the salad, preferring to hit the desert menu later. They have a good selection of wines. We went with a Wild Horse Pinot Noir for $ 40 which is the low end, but we are familiar with this bottle — and it’s just fine. Maybe a $ 15 to $ 20 dollar bottle at your local retailer. ADVICETOWAITSTAFF — The only complaint that I had was the inconsistent distribution of the bottle into 4 glasses… Pet peeve of mine. Don’t try to pour 4 glasses evenly in one rotation unless you are good at it — 175ML should be in each glass — I’m guessing one had 100 and one had 275. Not a good thing. You would not expect one steak to be 3 times the size of another. They have Grilled flat breads, Tapas, Pasta. Again we passed. — 4 or 4 selected the Tenderloin @ $ 38. It came with a sweet potato casserole and broccollini, I asked for the polenta cake, dried tomatoes, and asparagus that came with the Ribeye — sounded more interesting to me. Not a problem and it was well prepared. Steaks were grass fed, I suppose it’s a bit unusual to find restaurants serving grass fed. They were cooked to perfection, in spite of 4 different requests for desired doneness. Desert was a real killer. Berry and Rhubarb Cobbler with Vanilla Gellato(hope i spelled that right), Bread Pudding — which was HUGE and GOOD, also with a scoop of ice cream of some sort(I declare this to be the winner — and suggest that it was enough for two) — The other side of the table shared something like a crème brûlée, to be honest, it gets lost in the excitement over the bread pudding. Birmingham has a 9% food tax and a 14% wine tax so we add $ 22 for tax — they need it since they are apparently broke due to mismanagement — that adds a little more than what we get here in GA or SC where I normally dine. With a nice tip the meal was $ 300 and was entirely worth it. My son and daughter-in-law have eaten there several times. I would go back.
