As far as craft stores in birmingham, this has got to be one of my top choices so far. I have not been disappointed in my stops here and always get my mission accomplished with this place.
The floral department: there are not any love floral choices but tons of options for decorative floral. I recently got overwhelmed with all of the options I had to choose from for my home autumn look but, I left heppy and got some beautiful arrangements.
Prices: in general the prices are competitive to other craft store options. They always have a sale of some sort going on that is actually a money saver. Sometimes I walk in for one thing and see something that is such a steal I actually need and have a double whammy buy:)
The store is very visible from the road and easy to find. The customer service is great and I have always been promptly helped when needed

Yes, they have a LOT of stuff, but if you don’t know where your desired items are, it’s just overwhelming. I wandered around for 10+ minutes looking for a few things, OR a staff member who could potentially point me in the right direction. I found neither. Fail.

OMG… can you say, «Chaos»? Yes, I know what time of the year it is, but good grief… you can’t put everything in your entire stockroom on display!
It was just SO much fun trying to get through the isles. ;o (And they didn’t have what I went looking for.
I like Michael’s and I’ll go back; but be warned… unless you’re ready to be shaken AND stirred, wait til the holidays are over.

This Michael’s was dirty and the staff was nowhere near helpful. I use the Brook Highlands Michael’s more often and they’re staff have set my standards high! They have always been pleasant and accommodating. While the Mtgmy Hwy may have more foot traffic because of location, I’d avoid it – head to Brook Highlands!
