My husband and I passed by this place many times thinking it was just a «food court» type of establishment, wow were we wrong. We are creatures of habit and have 5 – 6 places we always return to, now we have added a new place. The bar area is great and they offer a good selection of beer and alcohol. this is where we always sit, we like being social, so this is good for us. The waitstaff is very helpful and professional, the sushi is some of the best around here. We have been in as many as three times in a week. The jalapeño poppers and the crab wontons are the best you will find. Go here give it a shot you will not be disappointed.

Meh, I really wanted to like this place. Their jalapeño poppers appetizer was pretty neat and tasty, but the super crunch was absolutely disgusting! I will go to Taste of Thailand if I want super crunch in the future. We also ordered the heart roll, which was good for the first 2 pieces or so, but after that, I was over trying to eat any more. All of the toppings were just overkill. I love the concept, and I’d try it again, but I’d definitely order different rolls.

Had an enjoyable time here, love the atmosphere. And the sushi was impressive, wide variety. And throw in the $ 3 domestic beer all day long, and we’re set. The Motley Crue, the Jimi Hendrix & the Lobster rolls were top notch… Will return

The sushi was great. We had the Pearl Jam and the Fleetwood Mack rolls. They were really good. The service was fast and great also. This is a great place to come and have sushi on a low-key chill night. The atmosphere was very casual and fun. We will be back.

So many better choices than this and close by this spot. When you are talking raw fish everything in the dining room needs to be spotless. If that isn’t white glove clean its easy to draw conclusions about the food preparations. I posted three pictures. First thing I see is a menu at the table. 5 or 6 stains on it. Not a good start. There was another menu that was clean but 1st impressions matter. Then the soy sauce bottle. I doubt it had ever been wiped down. Gross. Edamame had a funk taste to it. Not super strong but should taste fresh. It didn’t. Service was ok. Had one guy doing everything except making the sushi. I had the Lyman roll. Pretty good. A friend had tuna sashimi. Not good. Fresh tuna should be bright red. This wasn’t exactly brown but it wasn’t far off. This is a spot to avoid. Frankly it’s a health risk.

Well maybe this restaurant has good reviews because of the cool theme, it clearly isn’t for the food. I ended up paying over $ 35 for a roll of rice and cucumber, very little fish. My wife even had a piece with nothing but rice! The rolls were over priced and well below even the worst sushi I’ve ever paid for. Save your money and eat at any of the other restaurants in the area. Such a let down.

I was very disappointed with this place. My husband and I came after hearing others rave about the sushi. Truth is, the sushi really wasn’t that good. There was barely any crab in my California roll. Some pieces had NONE at all. Our waitress was also not very attentive. She never returned to table after our food was served. Normally I understand that it can be busy, but there were few people in the restaurant. Save your money, there’s better sushi out there than this.

We loved it! The sushi was great! The names were super cute but the food was delicious… Our server was very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back to try as many of the rolls as we can. I got the MJ roll and my fiancée got the Heart Roll and we got a spicy tuna roll to share. We are good and full now! We wanted to go out on a little date tonight but had no idea where we wanted to go. Driving around I saw Rock and Roll and said let’s go there! She said I made a great choice!

The service was horrible. It took 20 mins for my food because the chief was just standing at the register counting his tips! I had the MG roll it was mediocre at best.

Atmosphere– Very different for a sushi place. Menus are made from old album covers and all the roll’s names have been changed to rock and roll themes. Staff– Friendly and attentive. Food– Everything is great. But. The dessert roll is gross. Overall– Great food. Great staff. Just don’t get dessert and you’ll be happy.

This is our first time to this location we normally go to trussville location which has always been excellent in food and service. Our food was good but the service was very much lacking. Will try again hopefully there will be better service.

We have visited this place 2 times in the last couple of weeks and have enjoyed it. Like the name says, it is rock on roll themed, not a fancy place, but a nice place to eat. When we visited they had Christmas music so didn’t get the total rock and roll vibe. We have enjoyed eating some of the non-traditional rolls, the fried ones with extra stuff on top. We had the MJ, and the Kiss roll plus a couple others. They were all very good. We had a basic spicy tuna roll and it was fine, but like I said, we prefer the special rolls. Last night my son had the hibachi chicken plate, it was well cooked and very flavorful. The one think we didn’t think that much of was the tuna tataki, it was a bit overcooked not just seared. I probably wouldn’t have that again, but there is a lot of other things to try.

With so many mixed reviews, I was totally unsure what to expect. First thing, I think the«rock n roll» theme is fun. I loved the record menus, the décor and that the rolls are named after rock bands. I was expecting the music to be a little more lively, and I could barely hear anything playing over the speakers. The place is pretty dark, and almost dingy feeling. We sat at the bar, and I found the waiter/bartender to be less than attentive. We had to ask for plates and chopsticks and he never really«checked-in» with us,(ie do we want another drink). I mean sitting at the bar, you expect stellar service(especially when the bar isn’t full). Husband and I shared a seaweed salad, spider roll, spicy tuna, black pearl roll and a super crunch roll. The seaweed salad tasted pre-made and not fresh at all — total disappointment. I actually think the container from Costco tastes better! The rolls were just eh, fine. Nothing to special and lacked flavor. Nothing seemed super fresh to me. The spider roll was lamest of the bunch — hardly any crab included and the roll was really small compared to other Spider rolls I have had. The black pearl was probably the highlight, but this one roll wouldn’t have me rushing back.

Pros: the hard rock-like theme of this place: posters of KISS, The foors, Mötley Crue, album covers made into menus, great music piping from the speakers. Cons: The miso soup was lukewarm at best. The Shrimp Tempura Roll appetizer was good, but nothing too exceptional for a place that’s supposed to specialize in sushi. Had no desire to «invest» more in the experience so ordered my daughter the kids’ Tempura Shrimp and Fries and decided to stop there. I will concede they probably had their B Team working at 11 a.m. on a Monday. I do like the ambiance and rock-themed décor a lot, so definitely will try again sometime.

Very disappointed. I was expecting Guns n Roses and instead, I got Rockin’ Robin. Tweet tweet tweet. My friend and I shared four rolls. Two standards, a Spicy Tuna Roll and a Shrimp Tempura Roll, and two house special rolls, the Tommy Lee Roll and the Black Pearl Roll. The Spicy Tuna and Shrimp Tempura rolls were small and quite bland. The Tuna roll was not spicy at all. The batter on the tempura shrimp was a bit thick. It should have been light and crisp. The Tommy Lee Roll is described as spicy tuna, cucumber, crab, cream cheese, topped with jalapenos, filet mignon, and 3 chef sauces. Not a fan. First, I didn’t notice the fillet. The cream cheese masked the flavor of everything, and it seemed like a filler. And, the tuna and jalapeño slices were not spicy. The Black Pearl Roll was our favorite of the four. It was made with yellowtail and white tuna mixed with aioli sauce, and topped with tuna and crabmeat. This roll was large, and had the best flavor. It had another sauce that added a bit of sweetness. Naming the rolls after rock bands is a neat idea. I liked the creativity of the house rolls, and the descriptions sound good. Although some seemed to blend too many ingrediants and sauces. Many included cream cheese and I didn’t care for that. Also, the rolls were a bit pricey. For example, The Tommy Lee Roll was $ 14.95. I was excited about Rock-n-Roll opening in the Patton Creek, but unfortunately I was disappointed.

Amazing food, friendly service, awesome drink menu…{must try the Pink Cadillac, it’s delish}! The Eel sauce was awesome! Bitchin’ atmosphere too & I love their genius idea for the menus {made out of old record albums}! This was our first trip here {my sissy & I}, & we were a bit confused as to what we wanted because most of the rolls we get elsewhere, were missing some of the stuff we like in them, but our server was patient and said they could create whatever we wanted and suggested some other choices which we enjoyed. Cool part too was the rolls are named after old rock band names, which was pretty bomb diggitty!!! Awesome all in all.

We tried the Headbanger Shrimp for appetizer. It was absolutely delicious. We’ve tried several different rolls, but my fave so far is the Heart Roll. I heart the heart-roll. The service was great. The food was fantastic. Been back 3 – 4 times already.
