Since Michelle was let go I have noticed a very poor service staff. I regular the place and order the same thing and yet this time was the worst, 6 minutes sitting at the table and no one offered us a drink. It wasn’t until we started to move from the booth, when finally a server approached us. I let her know that we were leaving because it was taking too long. She told me that they only have 2 servers and that there was nothing she could do. The place has become a mess. Worst service in Houma. Might as well go to Zen and or any other place, because this place is a fail. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Learn to hire quality people who are presentable and customer service oriented.

I tried this place two years ago and it was not good. I decided to give it another try, and nothing has changed. The fish does not taste fresh, the miso soup tasted like fishy water, but not the good kind like from the sea, it had no salt at all. The food on the conveyor looked like it had been revolving for hours so we didn’t even try it. I honestly do not know how they’ve been open for two years, but if another two roll around I won’t be back.

Came in after the lunch rush, service was very friendly and pleasant(which weighs a lot in my opinion). I love the concept of the restaurant and it’s a very nice space. The sushi was just okay(certainly not the best I’ve had), the spring rolls were very tasty. At the end of it all, I would come back and try more of their menu. Three stars because although my experience was all around good, it’s a sushi restaurant and I felt that the sushi could be a lot better.

Great concept, very poor execution. This experience can be just okay when it’s busy enough to keep fresh rolls coming. When it’s not busy, most of the rolls do not taste fresh. The last time we went, between the old rolls, the very slow server, and the rude patron behind us complaining about the slow server, it was a very poor experience. Trust me, you are better off going across the street to Rouses for sushi there. If this place doesn’t get its act together, I don’t see it staying open for much longer.

WOW, if you like sushi and have eaten it ANYWHERE else please don’t eat it here. If you’ve never had sushi before, please don’t have it here. It will ruin you for actual good high quality sushi forever. The stuff they serve here is just bad and wrong. I am having a hard time even articulating the magnitude of this food abortion on a plate. Even the cooked food was bad. The chicken had a funny fridge rot aftertaste. Just don’t do it. You’ll regret it. The one star is for the wait staff. Very friendly.

I would love to give them high praises but why is it whenever I have an envie for crab salad and one(or two) of their rolls, they NEVER answer the phone during opened hours? Not only that, there is ususally a skeleton crew everytime we dine in, making the wait atrocious. I would love to say that I’d be back but I won’t bet on it. The food isn’t that bad but there are other places in Houma that serves Japanese food just as good with MUCH better service. They really need to hire more help or downsize the entire place.

HORRIBLESERVICE!!! I’d really like to give this place 0 stars, but it’s not an option. I’ve been here twice and horrible service and waited forever both time. This time ordered one sushi roll to go and waited almost 45 minutes!!! After 35 minutes, asked to cancel order and get refund but manager refused. She offered me dessert instead and told me to call in my order next time so don’t have to wait. THEREWILLBENONEXTTIME! DON’T WASTEYOURTIMEATTHISPLACE!!! The food is NOT worth the wait. To top it off, they didn’t give me any soy sauce, ginger, or chopstick with my order – nothing!!! This is PATHETHIC!!! The first time we went, we waited over 15 minutes JUSTTOBESEATED!!! Several employees walked by but none even acknowledged us! Then even after we’re seated, waitress was horrible. She actually went on break before closing out our ticket so had to wait another 15 minutes after our meal just to pay the ticket!!! I should have known better and not gone back the second time. Won’t be wasting my time there anymore!!!

This has become our sushi spot. The kids love the conveyor belt and the smaller portions let you try something new without committing to a full size roll. The make your own roll is awesome, we try something new each time, sometime we prove why we are not sushi chefs.

Tempura shrimp if you must eat here. I’m a native of Houma so I’m all about all these new places when I come back to town. Here is the breakdown of what we had. Off the rolling buffet counter aka conveyor belt, we had several crab rolls, spicy tuna rolls, a lava roll and edamame. If you are starving, it works perfect, rice is a bit dry but tasted ok. 1st item ordered way kid’s soba noodles, it was delivered shortly before the rest of our meal which was ordered about 10 minutes later. It was terrible, my boy pushed it away and I tasted it to see why, the noodle is well seasoned to the point of no return. We ordered several rolls including some sashimi. The funniest thing a waitress has said when asked how is the sushi, I don’t know, I don’t like sushi. LoL, really? Why would you say that, just say I’m not sure let me check or ignore the question. The guy behind us, called a manager over to point out that she was not answering our questions properly, thanks man! Because she definitely did not impress us. Maybe because we are from big cities, at the table you had New Yorkers and Houstonians. The presentation is amazing, everything came out very nicely presented, unfortunately nothing tasted amazing. I will give them the 1 additional star for the great tempura shrimp. It was delicious. However, here is your food breakdown. Crab roll, rice super dry. Miso soup which came at the end of the meal ordered at the beginning tasted like water and seaweed, so chewy. The bento box had great tasting fried c shrimp, very bland fried rice, pan fried gyoza was meh, not what I ordered. California roll pretty. The sashimi, wow what can I say??? Everything didn’t come out as ordered, we had to ask for all out items. But the haze on the tuna and salmon was enough to scare you away and then the tastes is asking me should I eat this now and suffer later? It was bad, so we returned it. About 7 minutes later, the manager brings back a fresh plate and what does she say«here this is fish from this morning’s delivery» wow, so the stuff you fed us earlier is not fresh? Ouch! As for service, our waitress must be inexperienced, she was not only unfriendly, she was just not good. I pre bussed the table constantly, and the manager had to eventually come clean it up. Going nuts with the mess here. I wouldn’t come back unless I had awesome company like I did today. Good concept though. If the service wasn’t terrible, you guys could have made the extra star. Not that these reviews really matter in Houma. Who reads them?
