I’ve used Pack-​Rat twice for long distance moves and highly recommend the service. I used one 16 foot steel container for a condo move, and 2 containers for a 3 bedroom house. It is incredibly simple to order the pods, schedule the drop off, load them at your convenience, have them picked up and dropped at the new location at your convenience. I was even allowed to change the date of drop off to receive them earlier — they showed up the next day! If you need movers to load or unload, Pack-​Rat has a referral service that allows you to pick your mover. Using Pack-​Rat saved thousands over a traditional mover and was much more convenient than driving a U-​haul 2000 miles.
