This place is amazing. Lots of nice, trendy clothes; glassware and furniture. Both men and women can find treasures here – just need to visit often. I bought 3 tall wooden bookshelves for $ 20 each and they were in perfect condition. I had a party for my daughter and wanted to serve the champagne in glassware and found very reasonable glasses, some as little as $ 2 each– perfect for the party. I love this place and you will too!

This thrift shop is small but has a lot to offer. They get a lot of donations from estate sales, so there is some good quality stuff. A lot of resalers stop by frequently as the prices are low. If you are over 55 the senior day is Thursday, with 10% off. No kids clothes, but you can sign up for the weekly email blast that highlights current specials.

This place is mediocre at best. I wouldn’t have even taken the time to comment on it except that the women who work there so astonished me with their rudeness just now that I hope to save someone else the headache. Go to Charity Guild, cottage shop or guild shop instead!

Well, I don’t agree with those reviews from 2012 — this is a great place! Unbelievably cheap prices. They sell all kinds of stuff even candles — everything is donated so they don’t have to pay anyone a commission. There is a rack of clothing which is always $ 3.00. Best of all the volunteers are really nice and no hard sell like at The Guild Shop or Bluebird Circle! The other day I found a Ralph Lauren Black Label blouse for $ 6.00! Right now they are having a designer shoe sale, I scored some Ferragamos for 25.00. Yesss! Usually the highest price for a dress is 15.00. The housewares area is hit and miss as the shop runs on donations but stick it out. I also found two fabulous California pottery wall pockets for $ 20.00.

If I happen by this spot when it is actually open, I can find some cool vintage hats and hand bags here… The are higher priced than some places, but they frequently have $ 2 clothing racks with often have some nice things… They also had a great selection of designer shoes… Definitely worth checking out if you are shopping in the area!

The prices are okay. some things that were priced higher than expected for a thrift store, like an ikea lack side table for $ 20 as opposed to $ 10 on the ikea website. i did manage to find a really cute three piece candle holder set that would have gone for $ 25 at Kirkland’s but was only $ 4 here. the ladies at the counter were really nice. they can hold your merchandise back there while you shop. they also give you reused bags from department stores that you can bring back to them so they can reuse for future customers. Great place and a great cause.

Are you SERIOUS??! Houston thrift shopping is an absolute joke. Pictures on the wall for $ 100! Old serving platters with scratches all over them for $ 45. I’m not kidding and I’m NOT buying.

You’ve got to be careful with the hours at the Assistance league of Houston. They’re open 10 – 3 Monday to Saturday, which makes the weekend the easiest opportunity for most people. The thrift shop is pretty small though, so the offerings are pretty hit or miss. You might find something great, or you’ll quickly discover there’s nothing at all. But it’s worth a visit on that chance, since I’ve occasionally found some great items. The prices seem to run higher than you’ll find at most other thrift shops, but occasional mark downs can help. This year I found a pretty tacky Christmas sweater, but I wasn’t inclined to pay $ 9. I guess in the grand scheme of things, $ 9 isn’t much, but I noticed that the next Saturday all Christmas items were 50% off. I planned to come back for my $ 4.50 sweater, but got drunk Friday night and slept in. C’est la vie.

I don’t know if they’ve fixed the sign, but this thrift store is one that is particularly inexpensive. Its not the cheapest one in the area, but close to it – and the stuff is of decent quality even though there is not a large quantity. Of primary concern to me is the books and while the selection is not gigantic, I have made some some nice finds in there that are either really good values or just interesting reads. The turnover is enough to make it worth visiting every month or so.

I went there a really long time ago and wasn’t particularly impressed with what they had. But it’s been so long, I was interested in giving it another shot. Unfortunately, the«CLOSED» sign in their window has the wrong days of operation on it. It says that it’s open Monday-Saturday from 10 – 3. So I arrived at Tuesday at 10:45AM, and they were closed! I checked the sign that faced the street, and it says they are only open Wednesday through Saturday. That was annoying! Update your sign, guys!
