We made reservations ahead of time for dinner on a Friday night and were seated promptly. Valet outside was complimentary. My waiter was very knowledgeable in helping me select a drink to go with my meal along with helping us chose appetizers and our main course. All the food was fabulous and I’ll be back.

here to start with B&B Butchers? I guess for the Unilocal reader, I’ll give the quick pros and cons: Pros: Parking lot/no mandatory valet Great cocktails Some amazing appetizers Fantastic streak Nice asthetic Cons: Pricey Loud Desserts not as good as the rest of the food My wife and I went to B&B Butchers a couple of weeks ago to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We got there about 45 minutes early, so we sidled up to the bar for a drink. I got something called«The City in Winter»(I think that’s what it was called) which was their version of an old fashioned. All the classic notes were there, but with enough differences to make it interesting. The other members of our party all seemed to enjoy their drinks as well. We started dinner with a few appetizers: the Spicy Sausage Pizza, Sizzling Thick Cut Bacon, and Carpet Bagger on the Half Shell. The pizza was fine, although nothing to rave about, and the bacon was deliciously rich and savory. But the Carpet Bagger. Wow. I’m not even sure what was on there. I think it was a fried oyster on top of a piece of wagyu beef with some blue cheese, and then the whole thing was wrapped in bacon. It’s kind of an awkward bite(although it came on a skewer to keep it together), so you pretty much have to eat it all at once. But when you do, it’s an explosion of flavors and textures. Crunchy, creamy, tender, spicy, savory. It’s the sort of thing you eat, and immediately think«Where can I get two dozen more of these?» I don’t even LIKE oysters, but I will order this every time I go there. Moving on to the entrees, I got the 14 oz Gearhart Ranch Wagyu. Yes, I ordered a $ 77 piece of meat. Worth it. I’d do it again. And I might order two if someone else is paying. It’s a simple preparation; as far as I can tell, it’s just salt, pepper, and butter. But the marbling in the beef makes it so tender and juicy. I’ve been to a few steak houses in Houston, and I would rate this as the best piece of beef I’ve had. I got to try a piece of a the wagyu filet as well, which was mighty tasty, but I think that cut lacked the marbling to take it to the next level. I have nothing against filets, but I don’t think it’s worth paying the premium for the wagyu. My wife ordered the normal filet which I think was just as good. The sides weren’t bad, but sort of like the pizza, nothing to rave about. It’s what you’d expect at a quality steak house. It was really only the desserts that I was disappointed by. I had the rice pudding crème brulee, which was just rice pudding with a sugar crust. The pudding itself was not that good. It lacked the rich creaminess I was looking for, and I think it was over-spiced. The cheesecake I tried was better, but still kind of lack-luster. Overall, if I could half stars, I would give this place 4.5, but as I try to keep 5 stars for the places that really shoot the lights out, I will give B&B a very solid 4. Bonus: They also have a butcher shop if you want to try cooking their meat at home. I haven’t tried it yet, but I like the idea. But if I overcooked a wagyu steak, I’d never forgive myself.

I wanted to like this place. I had heard all the hype and read all the reviews, so I finally decided to drag my boyfriend here last night and be ready to drop a pretty penny. The two stars are for the impeccable service, the romantic décor, and the wine list. Everything else was very mediocre, including my cocktail. My boyfriend had the bone-in rib eye, which he says was ‘not the best steak he’s ever had’ which is his polite term for ‘this steak sucks but I just dropped $ 51 on it so I don’t want to complain’. I also had a bite of his and it was tasteless. I had the skirt steak, which had a butter sauce on top of it which provided the only flavor in the steak, and it disappeared after the initial two chews. The mushrooms side was the only thing I that was okay. I expected more from a place that is so hyped up, but it just does not deliver.

This is now our go-to steakhouse. The atmosphere is nice and the waiters have really known their stuff! We love the carpetbagger oysters appetizer and the Chef Tommy’s Bacon is my favorite. We got the brisket ravioli our first trip but didn’t love it. It would have been good elsewhere, but in comparison to the other appetizers on the table it was boring. I have had the fillet Oscar style both times. I always order Pittsburg Black and Blue or Rare Plus with a char. They served it perfectly both times. The meat being crisp on the outside and just short of purple inside. Others with us got their steaks carpetbagger or au Poivre. One said the carpetbagger was great as an appetizer but after a while, with the steak the blue cheese and the bacon get really rich, overly filling and somewhat exhausting. Everyone liked the Mac & Cheese and the lobster fried rice, I got the sautéed spinach as a side. The lobster fried rice is very much Asian fried rice which surprised me a little bit it was good. We got dessert our first trip but we were all so full by then we didn’t really get to enjoy them like they deserved. The wine menu is nice in diversity and in reasonableness of price. Talk to the waiters and they can direct you to something you’ll like in your price point. Also try the Cricket if you like Pimm’s. It’s delicious!

I have dined a B&B three times now. While steak houses are not usually my top choice this place was worth re-visiting. The ambiance is cool and clean. Excellent roof top patio and bar with views of downtown. The service from the moment you walk in is friendly and hospitable. I have been here in a group and for a romantic evening and both went well. Timing of service and consistency of food was tops. Cocktails are a do not miss here. From their special cocktail offerings to a classic dirty martini this Tipsy Ginger was impressed. Highlights on the food menu include Carpet Baggers — a giant stack of yum starting thick cut bacon nice a crisp, with a fried oyster in the middle and topped with gorgonzola. The Crabcake and Beef Sushi roll are also not to be missed. Among the list of steaks are a few non-beef options that were great including the Salmon, Chicken fried pork chop and the stuffed lobster tail. The best part about steak is the sides. Am I wrong? The Mac n Cheese here is very well done.(something I find hard to achieve in today’s over mac’d world). The creamed spinach and lobster fried rice are also highlights. Dessert — Do not leave here without dessert! On one of my visits they brought a tray with every single item on the dessert menu out. It was worth every bite. The Chocolate cake is rich, moist and decadent. The Warm carrot cake was like autumn in your mouth. And the open faced ice cream sandwhich was to die for. Enjoy!

There are so many better steak restaurants in this city — I was disappointed by the lack of flavor given the price of the meat and quality of the restaurant. We ordered the carpetbagger, rack of lamb, and the bone-in New York at the recommendation of the chef. The carpetbagger was AWESOME — the thick cut of bacon was heaven on a plate. We were so excited for the rest of the meal, given how robust and flavorful the combination of the fried oyster, bacon, blue cheese and buffalo sauce was. But everything else fell flat… Lamb & Bone-in NY — the flavors were just boring. The lamb was somewhat game-y, as expected, but the crusting just lacked spice and added no depth of flavor. The jelly had a nice kick, but it just did not make up for the lack of seasoning on the lamb. The steak also left more to be desired — I was expecting a juicy, tender piece of meat and with lots of flavor from the bone and marbling, but alas, it just wasn’t there. I would not come back; if you want to try it, come for lunch and maybe try the skirt steak that others are recommending. Don’t waste your time with the lamb and Bone-in NY.

I came to B&B Butchers for lunch today and I had an awesome experience! We were quickly greeted upon entering and sat down around 1230⁄1 at the bar for quicker lunch service. The restaurant had a homey, steakhouse, modern vibe. We started off with the carpet bagger appetizer which is very hearty and can fill you up if you aren’t sharing. There was blue cheese, a slice of meat(beef/venison?), thick cut bacon/sausage, and a friend oyster. It was a perfect surf and turf app. I ordered the grilled shrimp pizza which was a different twist than I’ve had. The salsa verde was nice, light, and bright. There were plenty of grilled shrimp, avocado, and tomatoes. A great item to share. My buddy ordered the hot roast beef sandwich and it was warm and comforting. The steak frites served with it was cooked to perfection. It was nice and crunchy on the outside and chewy potato center. It didn’t taste greasy at all. I can’t wait to come back and try their dry aged steak, lobster roll, and crab cake!

B&B is a tough one to review. I’ve been three times, and I’ve left each meal with a slightly different take each time. The first time I went was for restaurant week, the second was for a celebratory dinner and the third was for a business lunch. The average of the three was four stars. Here’s the lowdown: Ambience: A lovely dining room, not too big, but not small at all. It can get quite loud, so a romantic evening is probably best planned elsewhere. B&B is definitely more a place for noisy celebrations. Brick and glass(lots of windows) bring a rustic charm. Service: Professional and studied, if maybe a touch formal at times. B&B has a much more casual vibe than is evidenced by the necktie-black-pants uniform all servers sport. I think the overall appeal would benefit from a costume change. Food: Ah, the prices. Now I see why the servers are wearing formal garb. The pricing here is as high as some of the most spendy places in town which again somewhat conflicts with the air of laid-back sophistication. Get ready for some sticker shock for sure. The food just about backs up the heft price tag, though. The much-lauded Carpet Baggers(fried oyster, bacon, some beef all on one skewer) were tasty, but certainly not the otherworldly experience that was promised. Something about it tasted somewhat pre-constructed. It’s not that it wasn’t fresh — it just felt assembly-line. The steaks are quite tasty, but again, at Whoa-Nelly prices. Portions are not big, except for the desserts, including the open-faced ice cream sandwich, which was a lesson in decadence and was definitely a high point of the meal. Drink: Wine list is decent, with the standard steakhouse markup, but there just isn’t the same depth or variety as other places. Staff seems fairly knowledgeable. In all, I would actually give B&B 3.5 stars, but I bumped it up because there’s a surprising dearth of good steakhouses near downtown… yes there are many, but none are particularly good. B&B is good.

Service was stand-out, great date night atmosphere, which you would expect from the prices. It was pretty packed by 6:30 — 7:00pm, so you may want to make a reservation. Another reviewer mentioned that it was loud, but even when every table was full, our four-person table didn’t have any problem have a conversation. I tried: 1. Lobster bisque(soup of the day) — Rich, smooth, good flavor. Not the best lobster bisque I have had, however, but definitely high ranking. I prefer my lobster bisque to have chunks of lobster in it, and this one seemed like it had been blended. 2. Carpet bagger filet — A lot of Unilocalers mentioned the carpet bagger appetizer, so I decided to try the carpet bagger filet. My filet sat on two thick pieces of bacon and was topped with four fried oysters, buffalo sauce, what I assume was blue cheese sauce. Definitely added something special to the steak but if there is something else catching your eye, I wouldn’t say it was a «must try» item. 3. Roquefort-crusted filet — If you like pungent cheeses, this paired well with the steak. Both filets were ordered and cooked medium and tasted great. My dining companions ate every bite of their steaks, so I have no doubt theirs were excellent too. 4. Mac ‘n’ cheese — creamy and delicious. 4. Chocolate cake — chocolate cake with thick layers chocolate mousse between the layers, some melted chocolate on the top and bottom too. They even wrote out«happy birthday» on the plate since we were celebrating and took it off our bill, which I thought was a nice touch. Not many places still do that.

Very impressed with how delicious their food is! If you go here you have to have to eat their Carpet Bagger! It’s crack ! I have yet to leave here unimpressed! I’ve only left here finding myself wanting to stay longer to blow up my stomach by trying to fit ungodly amounts of food into my body! For a new restaurant is seems to be doing very well! Even better their menus and imagination is growing ! Also try the deli connected! Wonderful sandwiches!

Best new steakhouse in town. I haven’t had a better NY strip anywhere else. If you go, get the Carpet Baggers! Anticipate not wanting to share! Plan to go here from now on when anyone wants a steak. Definitely make a reservation as I had to have one for a 5:30 dinner on a Tuesday for 2 people. Service is impeccable. Plan to trade an arm and leg for a steak though. $$$$

I came here last night(Saturday) with a few friends. We had been trying to make reservations somewhere all day but with no luck. Finally, we decided to just try our luck and head to B&B — none of us had been here before. It didn’t look all that busy when we walked in at about 8, but the hostess informed us we wouldn’t be seated until 10:30. We were all too starved to wait, so we headed upstairs to check out the bar. Fortunately for us, there was plenty of room and we were able to find five seats in a row at the bar. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. One reviewer noted that it was really noisy — it definitely was not upstairs. I could hear everything my friends were saying. We started with drinks of course. I didn’t try any of my friends’ drinks, but I got the Haymaker — Irish Whiskey, orange, and bitters. It was nice and smooth and a little boozy — it lasted me the whole night. We decided to order the Carpet Baggers for an appetizer which were surprisingly delicious — it is basically a tower of thick cut bacon, steak, fried oyster, blue cheese, and a spicy sauce. The appetizer comes with four and we were able to add an additional one so each of us could have our own. We ended up ordering another round because they were so good. Dinner ended up being a little family style — the meats don’t come with sides. We each ordered a meat and then shared three sides: asparagus, fried lobster, and the potatoes Lyonaisse. My friend and I shared the trout which was cooked well — although there wasn’t really anything special about it, this is a MEAT place — I thoroughly enjoyed it. One friend ordered the rack of lamb and it was absolutely amazing with the mint jelly. The sides were delicious and more than enough to feed the five of us. Another friend ordered the steak salad — I’m not one for cold meat, but it was cooked perfectly and tasted great. After dinner we decided we had to try some dessert — we got the the Open Faced Ice Cream Sandwich as well as the Apple Crisp. The Apple Crisp was our favorite. The cookie in the sandwich was different — it tasted like coffee, which I didn’t mind since I love coffee. All and all I had a great experience at B&B. Great atmosphere, great drinks, great food. We also had a local celebrity siting from Channel 2 news!

The One Where Grace Thought the Cow Milk Container was a Cat. I love my friends… especially when they do random stuff that I will ALWAYS tease them for. So a few months ago(I know, I’m super behind on my reviews) we celebrated Grace P.‘s birthday here at B&B. It just opened not that long from her birthday and the anticipation of dining at this place brought butterflies to my tummy. Okay, that’s an exaggeration, but I was excited to come try this venue out. The musts: * Sizzling Bacon: you get some well cooked pork belly as an appetizer * Carpetbaggers: delicious fried oysters served on a really pretty platter, but you must like blue cheese to enjoy this * Chicken-fried Pork Chops: this was the best entrée if you’re looking for something that not beef * Creamed Spinach: randomly, this was so good that another friend of mine ordered one togo I don’t really have anything negative to say about this place. I love the waitstaff’s apparel because they look like butchers(without the butcher knives). The parking situation is awesome here because you can valet and self-park in their HUGE parking lot(so why valet!?). That is very a-typical of Washington scene and I love that they offer that. Oh, before I forget about the cow reference… another must is their coffee. It’s french-pressed(need I say more?) and they bring you a ramekin of cream that’s shaped in a cow. When you pour out the cream, it comes out from the sprout of the cow’s mouth! Seriously, I love it… want it in my kitchen! Anyway, Grace thought it was a cat! We are still not letting it go that she thought the cow was a cat. So if you’re here and order yourself some coffee… please let me know if you think the ramekin looks anything like a cat.

Hm, I really had high hopes for this place as my fellow Unilocalers seemed to have an amazing experience from food to service, but sadly my experience fell short… I must say, the ambiance of B&B is very cute and casual with a lot of brick, wood, and metal unlike your fancier high end steakhouses. However because of this, there wasn’t anything to dampen all the noise and so you kinda end up screaming and saying a lot of huh? what? can you repeat that?!? Anyways, we dined mostly on the HRW menu but did order a few off the menu items as the sides weren’t included with HRW. Carpetbaggers On the Half Shell-Like many have stated this is quite a popular item as you get that combo of surf and turf with a mini tower of thick bacon, filet, and fried oysters with a piece of blue cheese covered in Buffalo sauce. My first impression of this was, hey that blue cheese isn’t so bad, but overall I wasn’t blown away with the dish as our server promised. Sizzling Bacon-literally 3 slices of thick cut bacon covered with salt and pepper, if you like THICK bacon you will love this, but I prefer mine more on the crispy side so thought it was just ok. B&B Meatballs-These meatballs were quite tender and flavorful and juicy and paired well with the brightness of the marinara sauce, honestly my favorite dish of the night! 8 oz filet-You had the choice of simply grilled, au poivre or Roquefort crusted. Bf chose au poivre, AKA crushed peppercorn topped filet, and when it came I felt bad for him because it looked so naked without any sides. However, the meat was fairly tender, was nicely marbled and cooked perfectly medium rare. Chicken Fried Prime Pork Chop-OK, I am a Southern gal and if fried chop is on the menu, that’s what I tend to gravitate towards. However, B&B is where you should NOT listen to your instinct. I appreciated the thinness of the chop but it was honestly one of the worse chops I’ve had. The chop consisted of a bland, soggy batter, with which you’ll find meat so dry you need a steak knife. The sausage jalapeño applesauce was a definite must but I couldn’t taste the jalapeño and the only saving grace of this entrée was the salad, which actually was very refreshing and tasty. Lobster Fried Rice-I ended up choosing this as our side as I wanted some carbs and honestly, I should have known better and just waited to go to Chinatown. The rice was extremely dry and chewy and the scant amount of lobster was overly dry and definitely NOT worth the $ 16 as this dish only yielded about 2 – 3 spoonfuls per person. Open Face Ice Cream Sandwich– I like to call this ice cream sandwich on a diet, visually it looked quite decadent, but when I bit into it, the cookie was just meh, the chocolate ice cream generic and the sauces an after thought. I wish the cookie was more ooey gooey chocolatey and the walnuts were at least roasted. New York Cheesecake-I don’t know much about cheesecake but this tasted like normal cheesecake, maybe creamier, more cream cheese? Overall, I would avoid coming here if you aren’t here for their meat meats, like steaks, as everything else was quite underwhelming. The service was very poor, as our server really didn’t care about us, like taking away plates and bringing plates like a mime, and only commenting once how«wow looks like everything was really good»(as he cleared our empty plates but little does he know I am not one to waste food, even poor tasting food, and due to the volume issues, he couldn’t hear how I reported, not really). Our server not only was inattentive, but he mixed our dessert orders as well. Sadly, we weren’t the only victims as I watched the other table across from us with the same confused look of um this isn’t what I ordered. To conclude, come here for their red meats and ambiance but skip the rest, also get ready for a bit of a wait as we waited at least 20 minutes for our entrees.

My friend invited me last minute to try B&B Butchers & Restaurant. I honestly thought this was a BBQ place, especially from the looks of the restaurant outside. Parking is plenty, literally all around the restaurant. The exterior of the building is pretty cool but a contrast when you walk into B&B. It’s beautifully decorated inside with a lively atmosphere. It is well-lit inside unlike some steak restaurants that dim their lights. Aside from parking, there is also plenty of seating available downstairs and upstairs. There is a full bar you notice as soon as you walk in with an additional one upstairs. Food: Carpet Bagger on the Half Shell(5/5, Steak, fried oyster, thick cut bacon, blue cheese, and buffalo sauce): My friends saved one last carpet bagger for me because I was(fashionably) late. There are 4 served in this appetizer. I usually do not like buffalo sauce but with this appetizer I did not mind at all. This appetizer is a one-bite type of deal all pinned down by a toothpick. It’s like a food-gasm in your mouth. Definitely unique. Truffle Bacon(5/5, off-menu): ORDERTHIS! You will not regret! Our waiter was a friend of my friends, so he recommended this. My oh my, my mouth is watering as I am trying to type. It’s pretty much the Sizzling Thick-Cut Bacon but with a damn good twist. Maple-liked smoked thick cuts of bacon with truffle butter, honey, and blue cheese. I hopefully got that correctly because it was damn good. We all ate this in silence, that tells you a lot. Dry-Aged T-Bone(4⁄5): This thing is huge! I shared this between a friend, and we both couldn’t finish. Actually, everyone on the table could not finish their meat. We had 2 different kinds of sauces, truffle butter and peppercorn, on the table. My friends ordered another type of meat, but I’m not sure what it was. I preferred the T-bone due to the flavor. If you aren’t sure but want something juicy, pick an item with bone-in! Mac & Cheese(3⁄5): Dry but tasted different from your usual Mac & Cheese. I would recommend for you to try them. Asparagus(3⁄5) and Mushrooms(3⁄5): Decent, like other places. My only complaint was the wait time for our steaks to come out, probably a good 25 – 30 minutes after finishing the appetizers. My friend kept pestering his friend(the waiter) about how much longer. However, I will say the truffle bacon trumped the issue that I give this place 5 stars. Service was great, our waiter kept us laughing throughout with our drinks never touching bottom. In conclusion, I would come back again for dinner for you, truffle bacon. Fantastic butcher house! I heard that their lunch is usually packed as well.

Inside Environment: –Nice, white table cloth, the set up was nice and simple. They even have a little purse hook rack so you can hang your purse. Apps: CARPETBAGGER — WOW, this was so different and not anything I was expecting. It comes in 4’s but you can ask for 5 or 6 dependent upon your guest. There is buffalo sauce on the shell of the oyster, beef flank slice, fried oyster, and a slice of bleu cheese at the end, you eat them one by one or like my brother he ate the whole thing. It is a crowd pleaser, and looks like it’s a favorite! SIZZLINGBACON –comes in 3’s. This was wonderful! Well seasoned, taste great! Main entrée & sides: Prime rib: –I ordered it medium, I received it rare… a little salty on the outside, and very bland and fleshy in the center, with plenty of insulated fat around it. Just Be Aware that IFYOUORDERMEDIUMITWILLCOMEOUTRARE. If you send it back, it will come back possibly well done. Mac & cheese: — it did come with bread crumbs on top, looks wonderful, its just a side dish, it wasn’t bad. Not to drive you crazy though! Asparagus –Excellent, perfect crisp Lobster fried rice –PASSONTHISITEM! I REPEAT!!! This little dish was sooooooooo SMALL, and although it was a great effort, any Asian restaurant in bellaire/china town could top this dish for $ 18 Mushrooms: –this was a good side dish, sauteed, and satisfactory. Dessert Cheesecake –Was delicious, I ate my left over cheese cake for breakfast. I spotted this restaurant when I saw the big ol cow on the side of the building, I instantly wanted to try it out. I’m glad I did, because I will not be returning. Every person that ordered STEAK at my table who ordered it medium well, came out rare. My waiter, was accessible when I needed him to be. When I talked to him about how I wasn’t pleased with my order because it came out rare then took it back then came back out well done, he said ok and walked away. There is a nice little bar area upon the entrance, and when you walk around the side of the building you can see part of the kitchen and or the manager checking things out. I won’t be returning guys!

Tried B&B for HRW. I love dry aged steaks and was looking forward to it. Too bad it was unimpressive. Pros: huge parking lot, gorgeous building, lively atmosphere. Cons: food, service. To be fair, I’ve only tried B&B for HRW and not their regular menu, so maybe the food isn’t the same. Started meal with carpetbagger appetizer(not on HRW menu). It was the best part of the meal. Steak, fried oyster, thick cut bacon, blue cheese, and spicy sauce. However, things quickly went downhill from there. Three issues: 1) Took 45 mins to get food after appetizer. 2) Ordered a filet cooked rare as I do at all steak places, but what I got was medium/medium rare. Server didn’t stay for us to cut into meat, and after waiting that long I was in no mood to send it back. Even if temp was done right, meat just wasn’t good. Pappas Steakhouse and Eddie V’s are much better. 3) Meal came with no sides and server didn’t mention or ask if we wanted to order any. HRW menus are by design«all inclusive» so you’d expect more than a piece of meat at $ 45. Dessert was blah. Ordered the ice cream sandwich. Cookie and ice cream ratio was off. Not enough ice cream to offset the rich cookie. Couldn’t finish it. Loved the look of the restaurant and big windows but probably wouldn’t go again. Food and service need improvement.

Oh my goodness. Houston Restaurant Weeks have fallen upon us again, a month of overindulging on food, overspending on credit cards, and overwhelming weight gain when it’s all over. I wish I had more self control, but none of those extra pounds pack any ounce of regret. Per usual, I did my homework before carefully selecting which restaurants to try. If you’re a steak fanatic like I am, B&B’s HRW menu offers a great deal. For some reason, the meatballs aren’t listed online, but it is available for HRW. Not that I have extensive experience with meatballs, but I’m pretty sure these are the best I’ve ever had. It paired well with the soft bread rolls, which we had to ask for, ahem, when we saw that every other table received a basket. We went full on carnivore and got the thick cut bacon too, which was incredibly delicious. Naturally, I got the 8 oz. filet mignon. It’s a steakhouse, y’all. My dining companion got the fried pork chop for some unfathomable reason, and it wasn’t very good. Again, it’s a STEAKHOUSE. I can only vouch for the steak. As Gordon Ramsay would say, nice sear on the outside, beautifully pink on the inside. At least our server comped part of the bill because the fried pork chop was mostly left untouched. Cheesecake just seems kinda basic, and an ice cream sandwich at a fancy steakhouse? Don’t even get me started. I asked to have carrot cake for dessert instead, and volunteered to pay extra for this substitute. Our server said he would try, but in the end, couldn’t make it happen. I’m sorry for dismissing this cheesecake, because it was really F#@!$% good. It’s shipped from S&S Cheesecake in the Bronx, which(probably) stands for Sinful & Satisfying. Or Sweet & Sexy. All this for $ 45? Unbelievable. Reservations recommended; valet parking complimentary.

I’ve been here twice in 4 days! Just by chance, but hey, lucky me! The first thing you notice is the ENORMOUS parking lot. Seriously, I have no idea why they have valet(unless you’re just bougie like that). I love the old look of the building and the whimsical cow outlines on the outside. The inside has great details too. The surfaces all have that reclaimed look and feel. Downstairs dining is bustling and features a wall of booths. Upstairs is light and bright with massive windows and a fantastic patio. Can’t wait for better weather to put that to use! My first visit was with a large group of around 20. We had a long table upstairs and got to try a LOT of food. This definitely helped me order on my second visit :) They certainly know their beef, with 2 options — wagyu or in-house dry aged — in several cuts to choose from. As a bonus for a steakhouse, the rest of their food is on point as well. There’s too much to discuss so here are some highlights: Wagyu ribeye, bacon appetizer, carpetbagger appetizer, chicken fried pork chop. The most unassuming shocker? Creamed spinach. I thought about it for days after my first visit, and ordered my own to-go during my second trip. The French press coffee is a surprising delight too. The service has been great. Everyone is polite, accommodating, and relaxed. No stuffy pretentiousness here! I’m totally loving this place and think the price point is fully worth it. It’s a little out of the way for me, but I’ll make the trek.
