If your night didn’t go well, got a late start or just feeling like the Energizer bunny, check out this popular after-hours spot. Pandora is dark and dungeon-like, with thumping hip hop music and secret hand shakes –everything an after-hours spot should be! Get there early or know the doormen. It gets super crowded after 2:30 a.m. Parking is free and easy right across the street.

The crowd is pretty damn pretentious and the drink are over priced and weak! I went there with my girlfriend and her friends and I must say it was one the more miserable experience I have had in a while. First of all the door man stopped me because I was where was he called a «tee-shirt», well that tee shirt cost $ 65 silk shirt from Dillards, but because he was«being a nice guy» he let me in. Well he could have just spared me the agony because the night got no better, a bunch a douche bag guys standing around and even more hookers looking and acting the part. Next time door man, please just dont let me in and I will be just fine with that

I will never go back. It’s so dark I feel like I need to pull out my flashlight so I don’t trip over someone on the way to the bathroom. And it was so loud I couldn’t hear myself talking to other people. Who knows what I was saying ?!

I do not want to invest too much in this review because it is just not worth it. The drinks are pricey and the DJ is too random with the music. Not to mention I think they are trying to save money because the club was a third full at one in the morning and it was easily in the nineties in temperature, thus no air condition. The plasma screens were not on and it was just a «blah» experience.

The other reviews really capture the spirit of Pandora. I have been a couple times with my friends and it is basically a club with so-so drinks and really loud music. Some people have talked about acoustics, to me this really isn’t an issue. This is the kind of place you go to when you are drunk and want to dance, or at least this appears to be the MO of most of the frequenters. I will reserve editorial comments on the general attire of the patrons. We went here on a Friday night at 11:30 and it was absolutely dead, as in maybe 10 people in the entire bar. I guess it gets packed later?

We hadn’t planned on going to Pandora on Friday night, but we had a friend there who had several bottles of booze that needed to be handled — so out of the kindness of our hearts we headed on over. So it was raining like a mother outside. After parking and traipsing through very large puddles we made it to the door where there was no line. Like I said, we hadn’t planned on going out to a place that cares what kind of shoes you’re wearing, and my hubby had on flip flops. From the reviews I’ve read, the bouncers are usually real turds, but this one told my husband that since the weather was bad he’d give him a pass and he let us in anyway. I’m sure he didn’t care much because bad weather = small crowds, but I thought it was pretty cool of him anyway. Moving on, I nearly ate it on the patch of grass at the entrance just like everyone else. We found our friends at a table right in front of the DJ booth and let the grey goose flow. We’d been drinking for most of the evening, but upon entering this place I felt really sober. I mean, the people in here were WASTED and it was barely midnight. I was a little surprised. Anyway, I did like the seating area that surrounds the DJ booth. That’s perfect for when the dogs start barkin’ after hours in heels. I’m giving this place two stars because despite the unusually nice bouncer and lovely seating area — this place is icky. The music was ok, but the crowd… ick-city. I hate to be overly judgmental, but most of the girls were seriously trashy, and the dudes just stood around watching them dance — creepy! I’m pretty sure there was a career stripper dancing on the little platform in the very center of the place. C’mon, who dances on a raised platform like that in a tiny skirt showing God and everybody their underthings?! Ewe. I guess if that scene is your thing — then Pandora is for you. Maybe I’m just getting old, but a glass of wine and good conversation beats this crap any time.

If you’re not invited to a pre-scheduled event here, then be prepared for what could be a long wait in line outside this club. In short, I hated this place. Pandora thinks it’s cool enough to make people wait and then judge based on appearance who gets in. Um, Studio 54 this ain’t. And when the general wardrobe of those graciously let inside consists mainly of Ed Hardy shirts for the dudes and trashy/cheap/too short«dresses» on the girls, well, then it must be too cool for school. It’s pretty evident that Pandora hires its bartenders based on appearance alone and not experience in cocktail making. This is to say that the gals behind the bar look exactly like the ones that frequent this place. If you ask for any kind of mixed drink expect it to be STRONG, and not in a good way. I couldn’t even finish mine. So perhaps you’ll give Pandora one more chance by trying to get into the music and dancing your cares away. The only problem with that is that nobody else is dancing! The DJ was spinning a pretty decent selection when I was there, but what was everybody doing? Standing around and attempting to talk to each other in little groups! Could somebody please explain the point of that to me? Ugh! Basically, there is no way you would ever get me to come back to this joint. Not even if it was my best friend’s birthday. Sorry!

I told my husband that I am old. He(correctly) said that I, in fact, am not old, but rather wise. I really don’t get the appeal of standing outside in a line to get into a cesspool for over priced drinks, loud music, and having your personal space invaded by douchey-von-douche and his band of cohorts. Here is how my 10 minute experience of Pandora went. It was my friends birthday and he wanted to go here. A lot of his friends were already up at Pandora, so off we went. When we drove up past the«club» there were about 7 police cars in the center divide of Washington. The only reason I can think that so many cops would just be sitting there is because there is so much raucous behavior going on that it is actually more convenient for them just to wait for the action than it is for them to do something more productive and respond to the disorder once it occurs. Well, we parked(quite close actually) and walked up. There were about 15 people in a blob of a line already. The birthday boy got us in by bribing the doorman.(That took about 5 minutes and in that time my husband was already calling for a cab to come save him from the imminent torture that he could foresee.) Once inside, I nearly ate it because someone thought it would be brilliant to have grass as flooring in a nearly pitch black environment, then we grabbed some drinks. Hubby had to go pee(he has the bladder of a gnat) and was gone for about 5 minutes. Once he returned from waiting in a bathroom line which was monitored by a «bathroom» attendant(what a strange invention that is) who let girls cut in front of the fellas… he was furious. I really did not want the cops to be busied by having to arrest my husband for punching out any number of people, so I hurried out the door and flagged down a cab. The place is very dark and very loud. They have spot lighting rather than flood so all the light is concentrated right in one little area and does not really produce any light. I can’t really speak for the service. My friend did the ordering. I am not saying Pandora is either good or bad. It is not for me. I’m quite sure if you are looking for a night club/dance club, or a night that ends in a drug induced haze, then you might have blast.

I actually think the music is really good here, my friends and I always dance our butts off everytime we come. It’s a pretty eclectic crowd, lots of d-bags, but who cares? Go to dance and have a good time. If anything, this place is worth a visit just to watch everyone trip on the random patch of grass that’s right inside the door. Good times.

Went last Saturday and it’s the same as I recall from the last time I ventured down the Washington Corridor. My friends and I got there at midnight and proceeded to watch two idiots try to weasel their way into the club. The door guy wasn’t having it mostly because they were dressed like they were going to a Lil Wayne concert. Apparently someone in the club knew them, so they were about to be let in, but decided to say something not too pleasant to the door guy. What an idiot. They got the boot before getting in. Once inside, wipe your feet on the indoor front yard, and head over to the bar. You’ll witness a bevy of beautiful bartenders eager to serve you. There’s usually a line because of the sausagefest gawking at the bartenders and howling at every passing lady. But once you get passed them, you can get your drinks really quickly. I think the bar is the best aspect of the club. The music is a mix of house and hip hop, so get your groove on however you like. The club is fairly large and you can pretty much start dancing wherever you’d like. Or you can migrate to the main dance floor and witness some 21 year old birthday girl or bachelorette dancing on the center stage. I always laugh when a guy tries to get up there and gets immediately escorted off. Pandora, as a whole, is a good club, but if you don’t get in within the first fifteen minutes of waiting, I would start recalling what Plan B was.

My friend asked me to help her find a place to go celebrate her birthday and I remembered Pandora. I just joined Unilocal, and I’ve only been to Pandora once, so I thought I’d read reviews before I recommend this place. I actually had a great time at Pandora! …but I definitely had a unique situation that I’m sure helped. My boyfriend and I followed a group of about 20, after our company Christmas party ended, to Pandora. One of the people in our group was going to get us in free. This was a Saturday night, December 6, 2008. We parked on the street about 150 yards from the club. There was long line and the door guy was only letting a few in at a time. A party bus pulled up and the door guy let everyone on that bus in. The people waiting in line were obviously PO’d. My bf and I were not in the line, but we were waiting for our other friends. Every now and then a few people would show up and the door guy would let them in, regardless of the people in line. I just cant stand when that happens. My friend showed up and she called someone that was already in the club. That person came outside and said something to the door guy, who then let us in. I really felt bad for some of the people in line. When we got in, we were trying to find our way to the VIP area where our group was. My bf and I didn’t even make it. .we had to stop on the dance floor! The music was AWESOME! The dj was playing all sorts of old school hip hop! I loooooved it! When we were done dancing for awhile, we made it to our section. My friends had already bought 2 bottles of greygoose… so we joined in on the good time. the section was a booth, half circle shaped. Too small for our group. But we made due by sitting claiming the top of the booth seats too. The club was EXTREMELY crowded. You could hardly dance after awhile and forget trying to make it to the bathroom. My bf went to the bathroom. He came back a loooooong time later saying it was just like the line outside the club. That there was a door guy selecting who could go into the bathroom. He said it was extremely ridiculous. As the night went on, the crowd became larger. …and started flowing into our VIP area. We were right next to one bar and the people waiting to be served were bumping others into our booth. I ended up getting into a pushing match with some dude. The music changed through the night. I would believe that the dj’s changed. I really enjoyed the music when we first arrived. But towards the end of our stay, there was more music — that you hear today, like on 96.5. Not so much on the hip hop. We ended up leaving and it was hell trying to just get through the crowd. Leaving, there was even a longer line to get in. I really enjoyed the music. There was nothing special about the club itself other than that. I had an awesome time with my friends and after reading the other reviews, I’m sure my situation was unique. …and if my friends didn’t already have the«hook up», it would have been similar. I would probably go again if I could get in without a wait and if I could have a VIP section that was not next to the bar.

WHAT!!! I’m sorry!!! I can’t hear you!!! My ear drums got blown out at Pandora in an obnoxious way!!! I came here Wednesday night with a buddy/vendor and some of his friends. We knew a guy who let us in but we had to get there before 10. When we arrived it was dead(as expected). We sat around and drank for a bit while the crowd started coming in. The next thing I knew, the place was packed. There were 2DJ’s that were in for that night. Couldn’t tell you their names because DJ’s just aren’t my thing, but one of them did bring a guy from NSYNC. Oh happy joy joy… a boy band celebrity(sarcasm). We had a table with bottle service and the waitress was pretty on top of things and curteous. The reason I’m only giving this place only 2 stars is because of the ridiculously terrible acoustics, horrendously loud music, and the crowd. There were douche bags everywhere. It’s almost like the music was a lure for Ed Hardy wearing d-bags and strippers who only work the lunch shifts. I just don’t understand the appeal to this place, but it draws a crowd from what I could tell. I would come back here just to make a solid opinion but I think there are other places here in Houston I’d try before I do that.

First I must warn all that want to come here, Dress REALLY Nice, know someone, and come early. If not don’t bother ever coming in and I hope you enjoy the view from the door. The bouncers here are really strict. I know the bartender so I can usually manage to get in. Once you get in it’s not that great because all the partiers are stuck outside. The people inside are either really well off or pretend to be and the girls all want a piece of it. Honestly for the amount of trouble coming here and the people you’re going to meet totally not worth it, stick to pearl bar if you’re here in the heights.

My first review. please bear with me… We went here Friday night for a friend’s birthday, and it was my first visit. Husband ran into a snag because the door guy said he was wearing sneakers. He always wears Converses when we go out, because they are most comfortable, he never has problems with them and they go with just about everything he wears. Plus his dancing is impeccable with them on. I’m pretty sure the door guy only let us in because we were with another devastatingly good looking couple. Other than that there was plenty of room for dancing, 3 bars that I noticed and that were easily accessible(we got our drinks in less than 5 minutes) and prices were about what we expected for clubs/lounges in Houston. The DJ was good. I guess I’m a little pickier about a «great» DJ. He spun songs that were currently hits and that people would love to dance to, so we were happy. All in all I’d probably go back next weekend.

Ok, first off, if my bf didn’t know the door guy and bartenders, I could DEFINITELY see why ppl would get pissed off at the wait in line. It does get stupid long. The crowd is young, and I don’t know how many times I’ve had drinks poured down my back accidentally by drunk girls. I should«accidentally» step on them with my stilettos. It gets really crowded in there, and I’m sure at the times I’ve been there, it’s failed the fire code/hazard for max capacity. The bathroom is poorly designed, and the line snakes out to the dance floor. Patio? Hah! That’s a joke. The only thing that keeps us coming back to this place is the music. It is a good place to go if you realllllly want to dance. Mix of hip hop/r&B/dance/top 40 kind of thing that keeps everyone happy. If you can, just get bottle service. Makes life easier so that you don’t have to fight the crowd and you’ve got a place to rest your tush on.

It was a last minute idea that turned out to be the perfect place to end my sister’s bachelorette party. After a fun filled night of partying and bar hopping, my sister and friends wanted to end the night at a club. I suggested this place even though I had never been, but had heard good things about it. I was a bit nervous about being let in, being that we were in a large group and some of the girls were dressed very casual, also the fact that it was already pretty late on a Saturday night. The door guy was extremely nice and let our whole group in without having to wait in line. The place is rather small, but they were playing some good fun music that got everyone dancing. All the people here were so polite and friendly, even though they were complete strangers they helped to make my sister’s last night as a single gal a great one. The night we went here was back in early July, but I plan to visit again.

this is my place to go out dancing right now, but only b/c there aren’t any better places around. apparently everyone else feels the same way b/c the place gets packed. if you try to get in after 11 pm on a saturday night, good luck. you’ll be standing in line for awhile. the bouncer, charlie, can be a jerk. but i hear that he’s really a nice guy, he just has a different persona when he’s manning the doors i guess. the nights to go are wed and sat nights when dj red spins the beats. he mixes old school with new which makes anyone want to do some booty-shaking. his tiffany and missy elliott mix is my favorite. there’s a small little patio out the back where joe makes some fantastic drinks. so bypass the two packed bars inside and just b-line out the back. it’s actually quiet enough to have a conversation too back there or get a healthy dose of second-hand smoke.

Currently my club of choice. Not too big, pretty good bar service and of course the beautiful people and music. I think Wednesdays are a little more hiphop, but its good hiphop. Anyway, def my choice as of now…

I would give it 3 ½ stars if I had the choice. I give 4 to the places I really like and 5 to ones I love. First, we had to wait in line because I guess I don’t go out enough to know the bouncers and it was already 1130 at night. But they let in 20 people before we got in, and they only let my brother and I in, and my husband had to wait before getting in. The music was great when we were waiting in line, but the selection got worse as the night wore on. I don’t know if I will be coming back here again…

Mixed feelings with my first experience. I decided to reserve a few bottles on a saturday night for my bday 1⁄19. Unfortunately around 1130−12ish, the bouncers decided not to let anyone in unless you tip, including my guests!?! There was also a fight that night and these two idiots fell on our table knocking out bottles down. After that, I was accused of having someone in party punch a girl — WTF??! During closing time we asked to speak to the manager and my gf lectured the guy on the meaning of customer satisfaction. The guy was making smart remarks like«you are easily replaceable, someone else could have reserved» — yeah — 20 minutes later the manager apologized for the events that night and for his comments as well. Overall the music was great and aside from the fight(s), the crowd was great as well. I will probably give this place one more try, not sure about having any reservations there tho.
