It’s like Chipotle but for pizza! I came here for lunch since it is located near my job. It was fun to build my own pizza and have it ready in less than 10 minutes. I went with the spicy red sauce and loaded the pizza with chicken, peppers, onions, and garlic so delicious! I definitely want to come back and build a white pizza.

It’s my best experience about pizza. Good service and reasonable price and yummy pizza crust, a little blackened at the edge.

Food(4⁄5) — Great pizza! All the ingredients(sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables) are very fresh. There is a wide variety of options to build your own pizza and it is worth the experience. The normal pizza comes with a thin crust but you can also choose a thicker crust. They also offer their signature pizzas, salads, and dessert. The cups for water are a bit small as we had to get up constantly for water. Service(4⁄5) — Great service as well! Didn’t get to catch the his name but the pizza maker was very nice and attentive. You get to watch them top your pizza and place it into the fire. The pizza took less than 5 minutes to cook so everything was very fast. You pick up the cooked pizza at the counter. The drinks are self serve. Ambience(4⁄5) — Very modern and casual vibe in the restaurant. There is lots of seating and it is arranged nicely to be very spacious. The color scheme of the restaurant is warm resembling a «Blaze» and there is a photographic mural on the wall. There is a decent selection of music played.

Here’s a quick breakdown: –no wait(Sunday lunch) –very simple concept(pick your own sauce, cheese, meat, veggie– plenty options) –if sharing you can customize half and half –everything looked clean & fresh –cooked in fire oven –to go boxes are on the side so if you have left overs just grab em yourself –thin crisp crust(won’t get too full off breading and actually enjoy your toppings) –if you order supreme style it’ll be cheaper than ordering Pizza Hut –pizza is larger than Tostino’s –they have artichoke!!! Such a bummer! I called 3 times to place a to-go order and didn’t get an answer. Then I went to try to order online and it wouldn’t let me. Bad customer service thus far. I suppose Blaze Pizza isn’t happening today…

I went here for the first time during a Pi Day promotion they had, so the place was packed and the line was a good 30 people long. There are quite a few customization places out there, and this one had a bit of a hipster feel to it, but that’s what you get with these fast casual high customization places nowadays. The location is a bit tucked away in a large shopping center, halfway between a Randall’s and a Walgreen’s. If you weren’t looking for it, you’d easily pass it up. Between all the other stores in the area, the parking can get a bit tight, especially when there are a ton of people grocery shopping or at one of the adjacent stores. Like other customized pizza places, you can either pick from their preset combinations or customize your own. I went with the latter. They have about six different cheeses, about 10 different meats, about a dozen different vegetables, and more that you can throw on the pizza. I tend to overload mine to the point that the bread is more of a plate for the toppings, but they didn’t seem to mind at all. They did warn me that it wouldn’t eat well by hand, though. The staff is generally very upbeat and helpful, and they work pretty hard when there’s a line. The brick oven takes about 10 minutes to cook your pizza, but from the right angle, you can actually see it cooking, which is a really nice touch. The main drawback here is the drink station area. It always seems to be dirty and no one ever bothers to swing by and wipe it down. I never feel comfortable setting anything down among the rings of leftover soda and whatnot. Even worse, the area is a cramped little hallway to the restrooms that’s not quite wide enough for two people, so if someone is walking by and someone is trying to fill a drink, you have to do this awkward dance or just bump into the person and apologize. The pizza itself came out very nicely, very cheesy(just the way I like it) and full of toppings. The crust was somewhat of an Italian style, slightly crisp without being the cracker-crispy Pizza Hut or Domino’s style that I hate. It held up well under the bulk of toppings, which cannot be said for a lot of their other customizable-pizza competitors. I’d probably rank this place as the best customizable pizza location in Houston. If you live in the Westchase area, I’d highly recommend checking this place out. If you live further out than five miles, there’s probably a decent enough competitor near you to make a trip out here not worth the drive.

Okay, to start off, I was very excited about visiting Blaze, but after actually tasting the pizza, don’t think I will be visiting this restaurant again. I liked the option of creating your own pizza(well toppings), BUT, I’m not a fan of thin crust pizza ! The employees were friendly and the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, that’s always a plus !! ** I used my credit card as method of payment on my visit on February 13th and the transaction didn’t go through until February 23rd !! A transaction should never take that long to process !!

I enjoyed my meal here. The set up is counter service where you choose your dough, sauce, toppings and pay at the end(much like a well-known sandwich shop). I split a «build your own» pizza and side salad with my date which was enough food. Beer and wine available for purchase. It was a decent meal for the price and service. I’ll probably go back here if I’m in the area but won’t go out of my way.

I am some what of a pizza snob. I love pizza and could live off of it! So by 3 stars I am not saying this place is bad, it’s actually very good! My reason is they do not have many toppings to choose from. I like A LOT of choices. I do however love that they have a gluten-free crust option. Upon my first time ever in Blaze today, I was greeted very quickly by friendly and up beat staff! They even told me how it all works as this is a «build your own pizza» type joint. The atmo is very modern and lots of open seating. The pizza comes out very quick and they were busy! So it was nice to relax a little without rushing back to the office. They have outside patio seating at this location as well for gorgeous days like today! Now to the goods: I ordered my usual Hawaiian styled pizza load with veggies. It came out perfect. Took about ten minutes tops. The crust is not too thick around the edges, but thin enough to for a good crunch and perfectly cooked all the way through to center, not soggy at all. The size of the pie was good if you’re really hungry, so I ended up taking a quarter of mine home. Overall, it was good and I would be back to get my pizza fix on my lunch break soon!

THISISTHECOOLESTCONCEPTEVER! Location is great, lots of parking and good people watching at the boxing gym across the road. As for the pizza — I was SO impressed to see that you could get a build your own with unlimited toppings… UNLIMITED topppppings… for only $ 7.95. This is a way better deal than Chipotle, Freebirds, Salata and all those other places where you can build your own stuff. Plus, this pizza has a thin crust and is seemingly low calorie, so you don’t feel that guilt you get after eating an entire burrito bowl… I was very impressed with the service — even after we got our pizza employees came to check on us and even remove trash. I was so excited to see they served beer, wine and even champagne(we hung out and I had two glasses — nothing beats greasy pizza and champagne out of a plastic cup!) And oh mah lord, you HAVE to get the S’mores for dessert — tastes just like a s’more from a campfire minus the smokey flavor — suppppper delicious. Overall, I’ll definitely be back… I love the huge array of toppings that aer offered and the size of the pizza. It’s a fabulous deal. However, I have one qualm that I must mention. I have Celiac disease(so disreguard the s’mores comments I made above because I totally discredited myself) and I hate when restaurants charge you an arm and a leg for special gluten free options. Blaze charges an extra $ 3 for g-free dough. That’s ridiculous. It isn’t like we chose this disease and it isn’t like the dough is THAT much more expensive… most sandwich shops charge $ 1 extra for g-free bread, I wish Blaze did the same. However, I’ll continue to get the g-free dough and s’mores pie because it’s worth it.

I have really got to say that I love this place. This location is far better than the sugarland location. The service here is just amazing. They are so kind and polite. My pizza comes out perfect everytime.(As it should since I created it) They also have the blood orange lemonade that is quite tasty. The parking here isn’t private so it can be difficult to nab a good spot. Every time I have gone has been in the middle of the day on the weekend so it hasn’t been crowed. But I can imagine the parking at night time. All in All the ingredients are fresh and many options to choose from. You really can’t go wrong with this place. MUCCCCCHHH better than Top it Pizza!

I like this location better than sugar land. This location seems to have quicker employees. Came on a Saturday around 3pm. The line moved pretty quick. The reason why is that they had several pizza doughs ready to go. At end they have an optional pesto drizzle which was pretty tasty. No burnt crust after coming out of the oven. I stopped going to the sugar land location primarily for the lack of speed and repetitive occasions of getting burnt crust. Seems the sugar land location should take notes.

Setup: after work to-go The good: fresh ingredients, prepared how you like, very fast The bad: not much! Observations: set in the back corner of the shopping strip — watch out for crossing traffic in 3 directions Overall recommendation: tasty, fast, fresh pizza. A great option for dine in or take out

This is my first time returning to Blaze since the Unilocal event this fall. After a long day’s work a quick and easy dinner was definitely on the menu. Since I was nearby, I decided to stop by and get a quick pizza pie. This experience was just as positive as my initial one. There was no wait and once again I decided to customize one of their options. The blood-orange lemonade is still one of the most refreshing drink options I’ve had in a long time. This stuff is a winner in my book! The only reason I am giving this a 3⁄5 star review is because the drink counter area needed to be cleaned. There were sticky spills that needed to be cleaned up and annoying gnats flying around too. Not good! There is really no excuse for this considering the restaurant was not busy and there were two employees seated and talking. Hopefully management will be able to address this issue immediately because they really do offer a great product.

After having a great experience during the Unilocal elite event, I decided to come back on my own about a month later and see if they could be just as good. Just as before, I ordered the make your own, and a blood orange lemonade. The pizza came out quick, and tasted delicious. This time I added a BBQ drizzle, prior to baking, because BBQ sauce just makes everything taste better. Service was excellent, another great experience with fairly quality toppings that will satisfy your taste buds and won’t break the bank. Anyone who is using fast food chain style pizza should get with the program and come here instead.

Blaze pizza is a really great place to grab a quick meal when you are a bit short on time. My wife and I have been coming here since it opened, at first because it was very convenient to our home, but now because we both feel very strongly about the quality of the products that they sell. The pizzas are all made with fresh dough, pressed to order, and topped exactly as you want it… they have some standard pizza recipes, but if you go with the BYD(Build Your Own) you control exactly what goes on it and the amounts of those toppings. And you get all of that for like $ 7.35 or something! The pizzas are all baked off in a fire driven over, so you get a nice char on the thin-crust pizza. They really come out crispy and delicious! Once your pizza is out of the oven you have further options to top it with different sauces or greens(things like pesto and arugula). They sell pre-made salads and other items near the register that are also made daily and wonderful if you are looking for something a bit lighter than a pizza. They also serve high quality iced teas and lemonades — their blood-orange lemonade is off the chain! I can highly-recommend Blaze pizza to anyone who likes pizza; you will not be disappointed in the quality of these pies!

Going to join my fellow Elites with my rating. Le sigh… here’s how to describe this adventure. Have you ever dated someone. In the beginning they are all sexy, fun, flirty and put on their best face. They can do nothing wrong and after a little while the true side comes out and you are like, wait? Who is this? You realize man this is the real person I’m trying to get with. They put on the ritz to get you and now after some time you see the real shebang. This is what happened with Blaze. I decided to return after an amazing time at our Unilocal Elite Event a few weeks ago. I decided to take my best friend who is a classically trained chef. He actually used to run an open fire pizza joint in NYC so he was excited. I had my good olé buy one get one free coupon so I was like man we gonna eat good today. Well roll up in the joint at lunch around noon and decent crowd. Not too packed. We go up and order the typical subway or Chipotle style where you can put whatever you want to your hearts content. The trick with wood fired pies is that less is more. Not many know that. The more stuff you put on that bad boy the longer it needs to cook and with a crust that thin its hard. So don’t load it up if you want a good pie. The staff was okay but not like the event. The pie was okay but compared to the first time something was off. I told my friend that the magic was missing from this place. They did such an awesome event but regular day to day business was just not getting it. The Blood Orange Lemonade was hella sweet this time that man I had to water it down. It wasn’t a horrible experience but I had my hopes up and had such high expectations from the first visit so I was disappointed. Especially after bragging hard to my friend and bringing him. He wasn’t impressed so I looked kinda silly LOL. Anyways its a great value if you need a quick pie on little cash. The staff is friendly and its decent for sure. I just wish they would pump out the crazy amazing customer service and food quality a few weeks ago. That would make this joint fly above the rest easily. No doubt.

I’ve got to agree with my Unilocal Elite fellow Belly G, 3.5 stars. I was in the area & wanted to compare it to the other location. This one also has a small outdoor patio in front & on the side of the restaurant. This is how it works. You get in a line & choose the ingredients of your choice just like freebirds. Then they toss it in the fire burning oven for 180 seconds(3 minutes), pay in the meantime & eat or take it to go. Pretty simple & straight forward. The dough is never frozen, made fresh & is offered in GF version for an additional price. However, they use the same oven & press to make GF non-GF so if you have celiac, I would avoid it. The ingredients are fresh & vibrant in color. Choose from 4 sauces(althoughthe websote says they have 6), 7 cheeses, 17 veggies(roasted garlic is available but not on their website) &7 meats. When you choose the BYO, you can add any combinations for the same price. The food is just as solid as the first time I tried it, I decided to get the same ingredients to see if it came out the same & it did. The staff were kind but not as attentive this time around, they didn’t seem to care as much. When I asked for a to go box for the rest of my food, the employee pointed to boxes that were right next to him & told me to take it myself in a not so friendly manner. The prices are very competitive, where are you going to find a build your own pizza for 8.75 $ taxes included? No where. That being said, it took longer than expected to cook the pizza, not sure why but I waited around 7 – 8 minutes for it which is double what they promote it to take. I’m not including the customizing portion in this timing only the cooking. There were no more than 4 people in the restaurant at the time. Overall, a different experience then the first time but the food seems to be consistently good. Try it out & give us your opinion in your own Unilocal review!

I first had the opportunity to try Blaze pizza through an elite Unilocal event so everything was perfect and everything was free. However, that obviously did not paint a real experience of a regular customer just walking into Blaze trying to get some good pizza. At the elite event, everything was working the way they were supposed to work. But that was expected. The main question for me was whether or not the the process would be as seamless as it was at the elite event if I had come in as a regular customer. Well, this is my experience. Since I had tried the pizza, I knew what to expect and what to get(I made my own pizza). The ordering process was Subway/Chipotle like. You go from one end of the counter to the other end while you tell them what you want on your pizza before they put your pizza in the oven and supposedly 180 seconds later(that’s three minutes, geniuses) you’ll get your fresh fast-fire’d pizza. However, once they took my order and put my pizza in the oven, I probably stood at the cashier a good five minutes before someone actually took my payment. And just FYI, when I arrived here and placed my order, there was no one ahead of me. By the time, I was waiting to pay, there were probably six other customers behind me. So the workers took all their orders first before someone actually came to take my payment. This was definitely more than three minutes and my pizza wasn’t ready yet. After I had paid, I waited for my pizza to come out. But lo and behold! THREE customers(a couple of whom ordered multiple pizzas) who had come and placed their orders after I did received their pizzas first. Why? I have no idea. And please be reminded that at this point, I had been waiting about a good ten minutes for a pizza that was supposed to be ready in about three. I came in here because I wanted something quick to go. I expected that I would be here about 10 minutes max before I had to leave, but I ended up spending about 15 – 20 minutes from the time I walked in to the time I walked out with my pizza. Why was my pizza skipped? How come my pizza wasn’t ready after over 10 minutes in the oven? Why didn’t they have a dedicated cashier to take payments? And pro tips: If you plan on coming here multiple times or with multiple people, for every $ 40 gift card you purchase, you get one free pizza. Buy multiple gift cards, get multiple free pizzas. You’re welcome. And oh, they also offer gluten free crust but you’ll have to shell an additional $ 3 for that. The pizza was delicious. The experience, however, was not. I’ll be back in the future since this place is very conveniently located for me. If I get consistently better experience my future visits, then I’ll update my review to reflect that. Until then, 3.5 overall rating. And no, I can’t justify rounding up at the moment.

This is my second time at Blaze in less than a week! It has become my favorite pizza spot and I’m not even a pizza fanatic! You will find yourself craving this pizza. I recommend you choose to build your own pizza, it gives your more bang for your buck. Unlimited toppings and quality ingredients!!! I suggest you try their fresh ovaline mozarella, roasted garlic cloves, sauteed red peppers, turkey meatballs… just try everything!!! If you’re like me, your crust will have a hard time lifting the endless amount of ingredients weighing it down… but just fold that slice and keep chomping! I will definitely be back and I’m sure that after you try Blaze, you’ll be back too!
