I was told the bo luc lac was good here. It wasn’t that bad. If the opportunity came, I would come back.

This restaurant is not what it used to be. The owner/manager is always rotating and so is the staff. Back in mid 2000s, this restaurant was booming with customers and food was good and cheap, but now its the opposite. There’s hardly a soul here at night! Food is decent to say the least, but its ok for me especially when I dine alone.

Best nem nuong in Houston. Nem nuong is a spring roll with crunchy pork inside. It comes with a side of sweet heavenly(fish or shrimp, not sure. maybe a mixture) sauce. Don’t let the glowing orange color of it scare you! I can’t attest for anything else, because I’ve only had this or their phở(decent, but I’d never come here for that). They have a special where you buy either 4 or 5 and get 1 free. They also cater(I ordered about ~36 rolls, they came out to $ 54. so I don’t think they applied the discount, but I placed an order on Christmas and I was in a hurry, so it’s fine).

As everyone has pointed out, this is the place to go to for the unique crunchy spring roll. The Nem Nuong Nha Trang style rolls have grilled pork, lettuce and something fried in them that give it that unique crunch. The dipping sauce that comes with it is also great, but i have no idea what is in it. I have ordered party trays of these rolls and it is always a hit(my friend plans to have it catered as part of the appetizers for his rehearsal dinner). They are also actually buy 5 orders get 1 order free! Each order comes with 4 rolls… they will all definitely get eaten.

Yummmmm their nem nuong is delicious. Their sauce is better then thuan kieu but they need a little more work on the roll itself. A little more herbs like Thuan kieu. The other dishes are ok.

Best nem nuong in town… and that’s about it. I’ve tried the phở here and don’t want to come back for anything else on the menu. Stick with the nem nuong and u can’t go wrong. Service is fast and sweet.

Came here specifically for their specialty rolls and it was worth every penny! My co-worker suggested this place, so we ended up coming here for lunch. I got the pork chop rice plate and it tasted fantastic. Good portions and very filling. I can’t wait to come back for their vermicelli soups with my wife! Restaurant has plenty of seating and the shopping center it’s in is decent.

This place used to be good, but now it went down hill. I ordered two bowls of phở to go. I like soup, but the portion was really small. There was 2 meats and only 5 meatballs when I ordered phở tay bo vien. I think they might have changed owner. The to go service was pretty bad too.

The foods are okay, I ate bun nem nuong and banh khot. Both are okay, I was enjoy my dinner until some dirty water split on me by the two workers there. I was hoping that they’re going to say sorry, but then they didn’t. After 2 minutes, the owner came and said sorry. I was mad, but that’s okay, it was an accident and also I think both of them don’t know how to speak English and they’re Mexican. So it was fine.

DONOTEATHERE!!! This place use to be decent. Now it has gone down hill. We order $ 50 worth of food Togo. Brought it home and the rice was rotten the pineapple in the soup was bad. The whole meal was ruin. We called to complain the denied it and said bring it back in they will replace the food. This place is not close to where I live. I don’t have time to bring it back nor have the desire to ever go back. So warning don’t waste you money here. Go to theu Kieu com tam so much better.

This used to be our go to place to order nem nuong rolls for parties. Today’s order tasted really odd and I just couldn’t put my finger on it. They have replaced the chive and romaine with iceberg lettuce. The tiny sliver of meat is now tasteless and doesn’t have the grilled look, it has lost its color. This place has really traded in its quality to make a quick dollar. As if these weren’t expensive to order, now you don’t even get the rolls you thought you were paying for. I hear Saigon Pagaloc and Jasmine both make awesome nem nuong rolls. Bodards, you have lost us unless you bring your quality back.

We come here for the Nem Nuong rolls and every time, they have our catering order ready for us. They are really friendly too. I just wish their eggrolls were cheaper so I can stop going to Parisian Bakery.

My favorite place to go to for their Nem Nuong Spring Rolls. I absolutely love their dipping sauce. The spring rolls looked and tasted subpar when I went today, unfortunately. I ordered the banh canh, and it was good. Piping hot soup just like how I like it. Bf got the bun bo hue which didn’t have the usual meat that we are used to. It had the same meat that was in my banh canh. The meat was super chewy. Service was okay. The lady there was attentive initially. The waiter refilled our water once. When it got a little busier, it was like they forgot about us. This type of service is common in Chinatown though. It feels like this place has gone down. I would still return because I think I just caught them on a bad day.

We ordered their special spring rolls to go and were so disappointed. We visited this location about two years ago and had amazing spring rolls and phở. I don’t know what happened in the last two years but the spring rolls were flavorless and tasted old while the dipping sauce was cold and just off. I’m so disappointed! This used to be the spot… and now it’s just NOT. Ps. The bathroom in this facility is enough to make you want to leave before ordering, anyway.

I’ve been to this places numerous times over the years, and my family usually orders their Nem Nuong Cuon for catering when we have parties too. Unfortunately, I’ve witnessed the decline in their food quality and service. There are days where the service is on point, water will be filled and what not, but usually the servers never come back to check on your once your food is on the table. Now, I’m one of those people who do not mind raising my hand to get someone’s attention, and I’ve found that I will always have to raise by hand to get my water refilled or to place additional orders here. I wouldn’t complain if they were busy… but they’re usually not, and I can see why. Now, I know this place is known for the Nem Nuong Cuon, but in my opinion, the quality of this dish has plummeted. It’s really disappointing. I feel like I have to go to Bistro B in Dallas for good Nem Nuong Cuon.

I literally have no idea how to translate any of the Vietnamese dishes to English. Even if it is translated on the menu sometimes, it’s not in the right ballpark. I can tell you though, that when we come here to eat, it’s because we’re craving some of our home cooked meals from mom! This place comes pretty close; and that’s saying a lot. Some of the dishes may be slightly too over seasoned though. I think any person with a Vietnamese ethnic background would agree that this place isn’t all too bad. The staff here are also very friendly and polite. They will be very attentive to you. I would come back here to eat again.

Two stars because I absolutely love and adore them for serving the absolute best roi cuon nha trang in Houston! It’s not a party without these appetizers!(a very common plate to order for catering) I knocked off three stars because I ordered the SUPERBOWL phở to-go. I was planning on sharing it with my sister at home but when I got home I saw the smallest amount of noodles possible. I’ve ordered small at other restaurants and got more than this. I paid $ 9 for pretty much a average bowl of phở. If that’s the case then I rather go get better quality elsewhere because from previous experience there phở isn’t even amazing. People come here for food but when they order phở they don’t go for quality but more of quantity and after this I am so disappointed.

I would rather rate it a 3.5 instead of a 4 but It wouldn’t let me. Located past the crowded chinatown area a little bit; they do take credit card. That aside, the food were decent. Came out pretty quick, within 10 minutes tops after ordering. I had the vermecilli with the«chao tom & nem nuong» mix, while my friend had the banh canh. The vegetables that you get(lettuce and beansprouts) were not very fresh. You can really tell with the beansprouts being a almost dark gray. However the food was okay. I ate it fine and finished the bowl, just not the vegetables. Ah another thing I forgot to mentioned was that they add peanuts to the vermicelli dish; I didn’t remember if they had listed the ingredients under the dish. Either I didn’t see it or I had looked over it but I did not wanted peanuts in my bowl. My friend said her banh canh was okay as well. No wow factor to any of these dishes. Service was friendly. Prices were not expensive at all.

So after reading one dish mentioned again and again in a restaurant’s reviews, I knew I had to try it. It’s true, you must order their nem nuong nha trang. The menu describes it as grill pasted pork with salad rolled in rice paper. A better description would be rice paper filled with succulent grilled pork patties, crispy rolled eggroll sheets, and fresh herbs. You get four of them for $ 4.99. Really, you can make a meal out of these or share them as an appetizer. Excellent flavor and great texture from the fried fried sheets and herbs are sure to satisfy any taste. They come with a eggy mildly sweet dipping sauce. It looks like orange eggdrop soup, but man is it tasty! My dining companion ordered the banh canh hue. It was not the best I have tasted, but it was acceptable with goodies such as pork roll, shrimp rolls, and straw mushrooms swimming in there. The noodles were overdone though. We also ordered eggrolls. They were okay. Pretty standard. Prices are really good. They offer phở, hu tieu, mi, and rice and vermicelli dishes as well as a few other noodles soups. Catering and party trays also seem to be popular here, and they have an extensive menu covering just that.

Where should I start with this restaurant. I’ve always love this restaurant the first day I try it which is like four five years ago. Every time I come to visit Houston, Texas, this will be the first place I need to stop by first. This place is in a small shopping mall center in Bellaire, TX. It is in the corner so it is hard to see from the main road. The parking is definitely big enough for busy business hours also. I ordered the usual, nem nuong and banh knot. These two items are appetizer but since I ordered two portion from each one that definitely make a full meal for me. The nem nuong were crispy enough so when you bite it, you definitely could tell it was fresh from the kitchen. It dipped with this sweet chilli sauce from the owner which is their secret ingredients. The sauce were addicted that I literally wanted to ask the owner what did they put in there. Another dish I would recommend is banh khot. This one is just like mini vietnamese fried pancakes. These can be eaten with vietnamese fish sauce and wrap it with lettuces. I would definitely recommend come to this place for lunch and not busy business hours because you will get to try their fresh items rather the cold sitting there already been made for you. The place definitely is not something newly renovatted but I come here for their food not their decoration.
