If it’s possible I would like to give this place a negative 5 stars. Let’s start off by saying this place is very local and not welcoming. I’ve been there a couple times before my last and I had a decent time. Drinks were cheap but the bartenders where horrible. I’m pretty sure this place has been laundering fake bills for real ones. At least it seems a certain someone there.(Cough cough) the blonde«GM» there. I was given change and a fake 10 was among the denominations given to me by the GM(blonde Caucasian) I went to McDonald’s ordered food and I was informed I had a fake 10. So I went back spoke to the«GM» who then got mad at me and yelled at me and told me to talk to the male bartender who them told me to talk to her who then told me to talk to the«owners daughter» and when I did she tells me she’s not the owners daughter and she’s lying to us lol. What kind of place are you running? I’m going to make sure I speak with the owners about this. And my lawyers.

So they had a sign that said domestic beers were on special. I ask for a Shiner Bock. Last I heard, the place this beer is made, Shiner, Texas is within the confines of the United States. The waitress with the little shorty shorts on that thinks she is all that informs me Shiner Bock is not a domestic beer. After I informed her that the namesake of the beer is Shiner, as in Shiner, Texas, she says, «well the special is only for Miller and Budweiser, it’s obvious». Oh, yes, the sign OBVIOUSLY clarified that. My next statement was«check please». Another place where some girl that«thinks» she’s hot thinks she can get away with being a B in her little shorts. Not for me.

Been there a few times because my friend lives in the neighborhood behind Brewskis. It is an old saying«a jack drinker knows jack» You can fool the absolute vodka drinkers but you can’t fool a jack drinker. Well whatever you poured in my glass from the jack bottle was NOT Jack Daniels. But that happens quiet a lot in this city. Walked out from the deck that same night and hello giant rat, nice to meet you. Wow was that sucker big. I guess they live under the deck.

Very small pub, but patrons and bar staff are friendly. My friend and I enjoyed our stop by for a couple of draft beers.

Walked in and was instantly overtaken by the smell of the smoke. I know bars/pubs allow smoking, but this place smelled like an ashtray. The two times I’ve come, I couldn’t make it past the smell to try to order something. It is super small and super dark. And if you’re unopposed to getting lung cancer, maybe you can try out this place.

Fun bar, nice people, good and reasonable drinks, and good patio. The only problem is the big roaches on the patio.

Cool place. I recently discovered this place when some friends came in to town around the new year. I liked the atmosphere inside which was laid back and wasn’t too crowded. There was a jukebox playing so there was a variety of music. They also had several games playing on the big screens, and there are arcades in the back for the inner child in you! The chairs at the bar are very comfortable as well! I will go in the spring when there are live bands playing for an even better time!

Meh. Nothing spectacular. Tiny little bar. Annoyingly small when they have karaōke going on that night. The outside patio is pretty awesome though!

Awesome. They’ve got a wide selection of liquor and beer. Staff is friendly. Smoking inside which is a a plus for me. But it’s not overly smokey for those who dont like it. The patio is huge and guarantees a quieter atmosphere. Definitely an awesome place to go.

Holy crap this place needs a complete remodel. First thing I noticed when I walked in was the bar chairs and bar itself. Old and crappy. Got 2 domestic bottles which were apparently 4 $ a piece. Really? But ok I’ve paid more and there was a nice big sign saying domestic draft 1.75 so it’s not that big of a deal. I just always get bottles at places I’ve never been. While I was there the smoke actually didn’t bug me as much as other local bars. But when I got into my truck it was pretty obvious. But it’s pretty on par with most other bars in this area. The thing that bugs me is they have a nice patio which they could fix up nice for smokers and clean up the rest of the bar. The more people you make happy the more money you make. Hmmmm. Funny how that works. They have several nice big TVs with sports on but the place needs so much work it doesn’t really matter. Service was good though. It would just be nice to see them fix it up a little. I could tell they had a lot of regulars who would argue that the place is great. I know the feeling because back home I have the same dirty stinky outdated bar that I’ve spent many nights in. But as far as bringing in new clientele they need some work.

This place stinks… literally, it smells very smokey. Also, the beer was warm, the place seems dirty, and when I found out i had a broken glass, the bartender was going to pour the original beer into a new glass. What? I had to tell her I want a new pour. Where is Jon Taffer when you need him? On the plus side, the patio is very nice.

I’m trippin out on folks talking about how smokey it is. What bar have you ever gone to that isn’t? I need to go there because in all my years… I haven’t experienced leaving a full bar/pub, with no real restaurant type of deal without reeking of cancer sticks. Get over it or better yet, get sh*t faced and then you’ll forget about it! The bartender was hella cool! His name escapes me but he has the short rattail hair cut. Very personable, we shared many a laughs that night but I’m not forgiving him for that fruit loops martini he made me. He wasn’t lying, it really did taste like fruit loops but in drink form, that’s some nasty mess. I’ll stick with my usual Ciroc vodka. The atmosphere was real chill and laid back, some of the other patrons were really friendly. The doorman/security guy looked intimidating but even he was friendly. The outside deck is a really good size and I would have been pleasantly surprised it existed if it wasn’t for that handy dandy Unilocal app! The live DJ was on point with his jams, today’s hits and yesterday’s…he played a nice mix of pop, hip hop, r&b, maybe a semi-country tune but all good songs. I hate going to places and they only play one type of music so to me, that was awesome. The drinks were good, reasonably priced. I felt a nice lil buzz. I can’t say they were hella strong but they definitely weren’t weak. Bathroom was really small but it was clean. Bottom line: Suburb living? 290 /Cypress /1960 /NW areas… sometimes venturing ITL can get a little taxing, chill at this neighborhood bar!!!

To begin, this place is disgustingly smoky. Even on hot nights like the ones this week and last, I have been hanging out on the patio because I cannot stand the smell. That being said, the patio is spacious and cute with lots of outdoor lights strung in the trees and many tables. The drinks are reasonably priced, and they have pretty decent specials(check their website). I mostly go here because it’s less than 15 minutes from my house and seems at least a little hipper than nearby Benchwarmers. However, it does have a very variable crowd, from a lot of people my age(early 20s) to a bunch of people my parents’ age. Anyway, for Cypress, I don’t think this place is too bad. If you have other suggestions, feel free to send me a little message :).

I can’t stand this place. My friends consistently have wanted to go here for years, and not just one group — several different groups of my friends that don’t know one another. I think it’s a location thing for them. Because I just DON’T get it. It’s crowded inside, ALWAYS. You can’t walk through without someone running into you, or worse than that — they just stand there. They see that you need through and dont’ move. Good luck getting a drink at the bar because the bar tenders pretty much ignore everyone who isn’t a regular. The bathrooms are tiny and gross and always have wet toilet paper wads every where — what’s with that? We generally sit out on the porch and have to fight to find a table or push them together. There has only been once out of the several times I’ve been here that we had a good time. And that was only because we had a huge group of people so we kind of took over the patio. There is obnoxious music playing most of the time and my least favorite thing about this bar? DUDEBROS! Everywhere. Enough said.

All you can eat crawfish for 20 bucks? I’m so there! Those little bugs are awesome no matter what people say! They’re like little lobsters and yes I know you don’t get that much meat but the whole experience of cracking them open and sucking out the juices and eating that little morsel of meat is so worth the work. When: Sundays Time: starts at 1pm and goes until they run out I don’t know when they’ll stop doing this maybe at the end of crawfish season, but I’m planning on being there every Sunday for my crawfish fix. It’s nice and quiet if you get there at 1pm because you got plenty of patio space and you don’t have to deal with a crowd. I drove by again around 5pm and it started to fill up especially since a band took up part of the patio. It’ll probably turn into the bar crowd as the night goes on, so depending on what you prefer pick your time wisely. When I got there service was OK and it was easy to go to the bar and grab a drink. As we left, the bar started to get a bit crowded and took a bit to close our tab. I know that if I do go back, I don’t want to deal with the drunk bar crowd trying to fight over the bartenders’ attention so I’ll be there right when it starts! Now would I got there on a Friday or Saturday night… I don’t know about that… it’s a bit too small and just not my scene… nothing to do but drink… I need more than that… music, food, activities… ya know… keep my mind busy too!
