Wow! I came across this place browsing vegan pizza in the area yesterday and happened upon Broke Ass Pizza. What a blessed day! I couldn’t decide between the coconut curry or the classic vegan pizza but finally made up my mind to get the coconut curry by telling myself I would try the classic soon no matter what. I called in the order and then took the 12 minute drive to pick it up. I was early and the pizza was right on time. It was brought out to me, piping hot and smelling amazing – I took a couple peeks into the box as I drove back home. When I tell you this is the best pizza I have ever had! So rich and savory but still fresh! The crust with the garlic oil is amazing and not overbearing although I wouldn’t call it thin. Perfectly foldable and before I knew it, I ate through ¾ of the pie myself alone! Another plus is this pizza reheats well. I just threw the last three slices in the microwave and it tastes just as good as yesterday. I can’t wait to go back and try the Classic Vegan pizza and possibly another curry pie. Despite the less than stellar reviews here and there, I urge you to try this place. I checked out the Facebook and I really love this business and what they are about. Support support support!

The owner contacted me and sent his apologies. I really appreciate a company that reaches out to its customers. That says a lot about the integrity of that company. I will be back to try them again:)

Ordered a pizza online — no pizza made. I waited in front of the house for an hour, made several phone calls, sent e-mails, sent texts, still no pizza. Had to get credit card company involved. Too bad.

I wanted to give them a great review. I was very disappointed with the amount of ingredients on the pizza. It had a good taste. However, the amount of toppings were so few and I did not detect any cheese at all. The Kale and the tomatoes were almost non-exsistent. I so wanted this organic choice to be a option for my family. But, I will have to continue to search for the best organic pizza in Houston.

This place is awesome! BAP is not for everyone but if you’re open to trying something new and unique… then check this place out. I ordered the coconut curry pizza with the gluten free bread as well as the banana breadstix and enjoyed every delicious bite. I ate both of these items by myself which is a lot of food and I felt pretty damn good afterwards, which is a testament to the quality and freshness of the ingredients used. I will certainly be back, thanks for the delicious pizza pie!

Saw the reviews and thought this place must be a hidden gem. Decided to give it a try. 1. My order came 2 hours and 30 minutes after I put in the order. They called me after it had been an hour to tell me it would be there soon, but then didn’t show up for another hour and a half 2. The Calzone is literally a pizza that has been folded in half. Nothing else is done to it. Doesn’t work well because of how thin their pizzas are. 3. The cheese bread is just a very dry pizza bread that has a thin layer of cheese melted on it. It comes with a marinara sauce that is extremely watered down, almost making it worse with the sauce. Found it to be inedible and threw it away. 4. The actual pizza was edible, but as far as taste goes it wasn’t great. Those frozen Wal-Mart pizzas taste better, and in 2.5 hours I could go get one, cook it, eat it, and watch a movie before theirs arrived.

My husband and I have ordered pizza from here about 4 – 5 times in the last couple months for one reason, it’s delicious! The first time we ordered I was a little skeptical given the name and all, but once I had a bite of their cheese pizza I knew that this was our new go to delivery joint. All the ingredients are organic and you can taste the freshness. We’ve tried breadsticks, pizza, and calzones, all were worth coming back for. Order from this place and you won’t be disappointed, it’s simple and good food.

Alrighty, So I stumbled upon this place searching vegan pizza pies. I had never heard of the place, but overall this place has some good reviews. Initially, I lefted work and headed straight to this location. It wasn’t until I was looking for this place with no physical address. I called the number when I could not find anything. At that point I was told there were operating out of a house and that is there only carry out & no dine in. He asked if id like to place a order. I opted for the coconut curry vegan pie. I asked I he could add jalapenos to the pizza,(I love me some spicy pie) and because they only use locally grown vegtables, there were unable to fulfill my request. He still asurged me that they would still make the pizza delicious. I finally arrived at the location. Sure enough a house with no signs. At first I was a little skeptical about this place. The neighborhood can be a little sketchy. As a former UH student you hear all sort of things happening around campus & what not. I waited in my car for about 30 mins. Guys comes out and takes payment. We talk for a minute. Real cool guy. Dont remember his name, but just talking about this place. They been around a little while. They once had a real location, but that did not seem to work out, hints back operating out of the house, He goes back inside & about 6 mins later. Here comes my pie. Since I was 30 mins away from home and I could not eat inside. I sat in my car and devorued two slices in a matter of mins. Fantastic! Absouletly one of the best pizza’s ive had period. Vegan or even when I ate chesse. The crust was cooked perfectly, all the veggies where fresh, the sliced almonds gave it a good crunchy texture. Curry sauce is superb, I shit you not when I say you do not miss the chesse. That is a hard thing to accomplish. Even other pizza joints use Daiya cheese. Without any chesse though is a very challenging feat and can be successful when done right. This place is done right. Overall, I give this place 4.5 stars. Mainly because of the difficulty in finding this place. The food made up for the search. I will definetly be back for another pie, thats for sure. Gotta support local mom & pop restuarants. Especially a place that can exceute. Good eats!

Wow! This place is a true gem! A must go if you like trying new things. I was a little skeptical at first because of the name but the reviews were great… so I decided to give them a try. Honestly, I was looking for delivery b/c I was too lazy to leave the house and I was tired of eating Luigi’s Pizza. There is limited delivery options in my neighborhood. Great decision though, sometimes it pays to be lazy. I’ve only had the Last Organic and it was amazing!!! All of their vegetables are locally grown, I love that!!! I usually despise anything vegetarian but damn that pizza was excellent. Coconut Curry is next!

I had the vegan, by far one of the best joints in Houston for a pie. It was topped with fresh greens and sweet potato strips, and the marinara is amazing. Would have preferred the crust a bit more crunchy, but with so many greens on top I can understand why. Look forward to my next

I like trying new things. This year became vegeterian and in 2015 Vegan. I wanted to try some alternatives to the food I love, like pizza. I searched and stumbled across Broke Ass Pizza. I decided to give it a try. Read reviews and said«why not». I ordered the Classic Vegan and shared with my family. It was amazing! I could eat pizza this good all week long. My next venture is their Coconut Curry pizza. I also loved that the ingredients used are local and organic. That’s a plus!!! Ordered for pick up and it was ready on time.

Best pizza in Houston, hands down. The coconut curry pizza is to die for, and impossible to miss the cheese! If you’re a vegan or a vegetarian, who is into locally-sourced organic produce and fresh ingredients, broke ass pizza is the best possible source for all your pizza needs.

I like Broke Ass Pizza because all of the ingredients are fresh including the hand tossed dough. Their veggies are locally sourced which includes beets, squash, kale, and more. Their prices are affordable. The customer service is exceptional. The owner’s name is Jamin and his number is 706.267.0186 I suggest you give him a try if you’re into healthy pizza that’s made to order instead of the frozen pizza hut variety.
