You know, for late night pizza, it’s decent. I like the Skywalker. Recently though they changed their minimum order for delivery to $ 20, which is more than their medium pizzas, which is usually what I get. C’mon man! People order from here when it’s late, we’re drunk or otherwise impaired, and suddenly pizza sounds like the best thing ever. Don’t make us drive over there! I mean, I get it if it’s outside of a 5 mile radius or something, but we usually order from like a mile away. It’s unlikely that we will be ordering again thoigh, because we won’t eat anything larger than a medium, and day old Flakey’s isn’t great.

Everything about my delivery experience with Flakey’s was bad. From the extra 20min wait time, to the layer of caked on uncooked flour attached to the bottom of my pizza. The cheesy garlic bread had so much Italian herb blend stuck to it, I was gagging. I ended up throwing away the majority of my order and going to bed hungry. Will definitely not be wasting money here again.

Don’t be suckered into ordering from here just because they are the last place open! My pizza never arrived. I received a refund and an apology from Eat24, so I ordered again a couple weeks later. Again, my order never arrived. ugh!!!

This is my first and last time ordering from Flakey’s. Took nearly two hours to arrive, extra toppings that I paid for were left off, and my pizza looked as if the box had been tossed around a bit before it got to me. It looked too unpleasant to eat. Oh and there was a slice missing. Who does that?! Not cool!

Worst Pizza Ever!!! After ordering at 1:15am I received a call saying out of Gluten Free crust so no biggie and he would refund the price adjustment. I requested a Mountain Dew soda, plates, napkins, parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. Pizza arrived at 2:09am but driver had problems getting in hotel so met him outside of the hotel at 2:22am. Soon as I touched the box I could tell that the pizza was cold. The jalapeño poppers were soggy and cheap. He gave me a 7up instead of Mountain Dew plus no refund on the crust. That was a complete waste of $ 26. One thing that I didn’t realize until after the order is where their location is in proximity to my hotel and it looks like a 20+ minute drive which is also ridiculous to travel that far to deliver an expected hot pizza. Skip this place…

We placed an order online at 7:18 and got a notice shortly after that our delivery would be there at 8:18 pm. At 8:42 after the order had not arrived yet I called to get an estimated arrival time. The man who answered seemed very annoyed when I was about how long until the food would be here. He stated that it was a small business and only had one deliver. I felt guilty to even press and asked for an estimate how much longer. The order was already 20 minutes late. He told me he didn’t know when it would be there that it already left the building, that they had another stop before me and would probably be another 20 – 25 minutes. Hour and 40 – 45 minute wait for a pizza. At this point it better be the . 9:00PM– still no pizza. 9:10PM– still no pizza. At 9:15 pm I called back and was told the same thing. At this point I did not want to wait any longer. I spoke with Jonathan who seemed like a frustrating employee who stated that he was the only one work one working to do everything and he could let them owners know but his hands were tied. At 9:18 the pizza man showed up. We had just cancelled the order so before taking the pizza I wanted to confirm… We mentions we had cancelled because it has been 2 hours. The driver said if you want a speedy pizza call Pizza Hut but if you want quality that’s us. Our pizza was completely cold. Not even room temp… but cold.

I have ordered pizza 6 times and all the times I’ve ordered them it’s been past 12am whether for studying or late night cravings, but they have consistently delivered my pizza on time and the pizzas are amazing. The Skywalker, 10 Dollar Ho, and the Jimmy James 2AM special are my my three favorite pizzas from here. Going for my 7th order soon. They deliver to 3rd Ward and UH. Keep up the good work Flakey’s.

Th pizza took 1.5 hours but it was really good. The delivery guy was nice and so was the gentleman that I spoke with when I called to check on the order. I will be ordering from Flakey’s again.

By far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a pizza place. Don’t let the ingredients fool you the pizza’s are horrible. The mozzarella sticks look like they came out of the frozen food isle. The pizza looks like crap, and it’s chewy and burnt. Not to mention it took almost two hours for a large pizza and mozzarella sticks to arrive. I can’t believe I waited around for this food.

So it had been a long time since I last ordered from flakey’s and due to a combination of factors(I’ve recently become vegan and I was starving since everyone else had eaten jack in the box and I really didn’t feel like a salad so I googled vegan places near me and Flakey’s popped up) so I decided to give them a second chance. And I’m sure glad I did! I ordered the veggie pizza with the vegan cheese but they called me right after I put in the online order to let me know they’d run out of the vegan cheese which kinda bummed me out but I told them to just make the pizza minus cheese. No too much later, the pizza delivery guy, who was super friendly and nice came to give me my wonderful smelling pie. I couldn’t wait to open it and taste it to see if was as good as it smelled and looked. And yes… yes it was! Even my omnivorous family agreed that it was super good even without the cheese! YUM! So happy they’re this much better than my first experience with them! I’ll definitely try them again and maybe I’ll be able to try it with the cheese too. =D

Ordered here tonight. TERRIBLE. Never order from here! I called to place my order at 12:25AM and was told it’ll be an hour. Alright fine. 1:25AM rolls by. My hungry self is getting anxious. 30 more minutes. Still nothing. At 2 hours, I called and was told my pizza was taken out for delivery«a little while ago» and I’d see it any moment. 40 minutes pass. Nothing. So I called again and was told the same exact thing almost word for word. «It was taken out a little while ago, should be there any moment.» Finally. At 3:20. I hear a knock… My total was 22.56 and I had gave him 30. He then told me he had no change. Lovely. So I had to find scraps of change for him. The pizza was borderline warm, nearing cold. Wings weren’t good at all. And I also got 4RC canned sodas. Those sodas are literally the best thing they did for us. Their pizza bag was dominos. Their pizza box was generic. They used some grocery bag for our sodas. Wings were wrapped in foil, thrown into a brown paper bag. Definitely was not worth the wait. Worst wait time ever. Just… Terrible.

Gluten-Free Review. So imagine a person who is gluten-free realizing at 1:30AM you can have a gluten-free pizza delivered that’s not Domino’s. I was pretty excited none the less and I used the Unilocal24 hour app to order, deliver and confirm my purchase. 1 hour 32 minutes go by and I’m wondering what’s going on when it’s 30 minutes past the confirmed delivery time, I call and speak to a nice gentlemen and he says it’s on the way and I also ask him that they made sure it was gluten-free and told me yes. So I finally get the pizza and it’s warm, looks excellent from the top and I take it to my room. After the first bite I realized the pizza was only cooked on the slight edges and the rest of the entire pizza is completely raw. It’s now 3 A.M. and I’m not going to call and complain and moan, I did see that other Unilocalers were going through the same ordeal and I should have checked Unilocal first. I ate the toppings partially and part of one slice since I was starving, it also destroyed my intestines the next day so I knew then if it was gluten-free it had the most major cross-contamination I’ve ever experienced in my life. If your gluten-free/food allergies please stay away from this pizza joint, I’ve never had such a reaction to one slice of raw pizza before claiming to be gluten-free. I’ve also never thrown away an entire pizza before.

I was looking forward to eating this pizza based on previous reviews but ended up having a pretty poor experience with them. We did an online delivery order and got the Mozzarella Sticks, Cheesy Bread, and a 5 Toppings pizza(Pepperoni, Bacon, Feta Cheese, Spinach, and Garlic). So I will start off with the length of time it took to actually receive the food. We ordered the food at 6:00PM when they first opened. It was mentioned it would take a while to cook since they are just opening up which was okay and got an estimation of around 7:00pm is when our order should be finished. It arrived at 9:22pm. It took them an extra 2 and a half hours to complete the order which was definitely a little frustrating. The pizza arrived cold and hard. The crust had to be the worst part since it was rubbery and just difficult to chew. If it arrived hot I am sure the pizza would of tasted pretty decent. The cheese sticks were absolutely awful since it also arrived cold and probably would of refused to eat it if it weren’t for the marina sauce. The Mozzarella cheese sticks were the only thing decent. You could tell that it was made fresh but even wrapped in foil the heat faded away. I regret spending 30 bucks on a meal that was barely edible and also made us wait for an extended period of time and would not order again.

Pizza truck in a random EaDo location, but it’s open really late, and the pizza is actually pretty great! Pros: good pizza, open late, vegan options. Cons: sketchy location, super slow.

Super creepy location. This is a food truck near some railroad tracks, so bring a buddy if you are coming here to pickup. We ordered a vegan cheese pizza and it was pretty terrible. Not impressed at all. Dry, tasteless crust and like a half a sprinkle of cheese. Never came back. Definitely not worth it. And once again, super creepy

This is a food truck. I thought I could just walk up and get a simple, slice of pizza. That’s all I wanted, so should be easy, right? Wrong. They don’t sell pizzas by the slice. I had to order a half pizza, which was $ 6. Fine. I then asked how long it’d take. Answer? 20 minutes. Wow! I then told the guy I’d go to my car and wait inside. Exactly 20 minutes later, I went to the food truck. The guy said it’d be another ten minutes. By this time, I’d lost interest. The guy told me that they got robbed about 1.5hours earlier by gun point, the other guy helping got spooked and went home, and the owner was inside the bar too busy celebrating his birthday, so the guy was all alone. He refunded me via cash, but failed to also pay back the tip. When I told the guy he owed me another $ 2, he said that the tip hadn’t gone through yet, and he didn’t know I had added that as the tip. He told me his story again. Did I feel sorry for the guy? Sure. But I don’t appreciate being told that a half pizza will take 20 minutes when it actually will take longer. I also think the guy should’ve told people up front, prior to payment, the estimated wait time. So…since this place was robbed at gun point, that just tells you about the safety of this area. You’ve been warned. I won’t be back!

The pizza was surprisingly good! Sketchy as hell location! It looks scary especially at night but their open late and a couple blocks from my house so I had to give them a shot and I was not disappointed! Only reason I gave them four is cause the location and sketch vibe! Oh and the guy who answered the phone was an ass! Said it would be an hour for delivery, but 25 Mins if I pick it up. Not a prob, sucks but I understand yall can’t handle delivery yet but don’t be rude about it! He kept saying«what!?» When he didn’t hear me… No manners.

Believing their vegan cheese option was soy-based, like everyone else, I figured this would be a great time to find out. I was greatly surprised when I called, and they told me that their vegan cheese was Daiya-based. Such great news! Although it took a good 30+ mins for them to prepare my pizza, we had an entertaining conversation during the process. I was the only one standing around the truck while I was there, but they did get a few delivery calls while I was waiting; in other words, there were some folks in line before me. If I’m not mistaken, they accept delivery calls up until 2:30am. What a service at that time of night! Now, about the veggie pizza I ordered. It was the best non-soy-based vegan pizza I’ve had. Daiya has an interesting way of tasting cheesy-creamy without dairy, of course. The pizza was so good, I kind of dreamed someone stole it. I was thankful to wake up without that being the case. I can’t speak for the carnivores, but this place gets my stamp of approval for the vegan community. They also honored my first-time Unilocal discount, which was a plus. From now on, this will probably be my go-to place for after-hour pizza. I would probably have lowered their star rating by one due to the time it took for them to bring out my pizza after I ordered it, but they were moving the entire time I was there. They weren’t bumming around, so I could see they were busy. For the other reviews I see on here complaining about the wait time, I would recommend ordering over the phone and picking your pizza up. There are only two guys in the truck, so delivery is going to take a while.
