Could of made a made money from us we had 9 people plus 2 – 3 drinks per person I show up with 9 people majority of them white and asian most of them were single cute girls ready to buy drinks and give them are business, were all in nice clothing but the bouncer wont let my friend in because his shoes say he has to pay $ 20 cover charge for his shoes wtf he was wearing brand new white high tops. The place is called the bronx you play rachet music like phat pat and z-ro and u claim you have a strict dress code over a pair new white adidas plus i was inside a bit and everybody was wearing casual clothing and nikes lets just say i Wont be coming to this place again.

One of my main spots to go to because they have a good blend of music. The drinks are cheap, the music plays all night and on occasion it is packed with a good and fun crowd. Not a lot of people stand around everyone is having a good time. Beware though, it does get very hot during the summer, dress easy on the layers.

Ok, so the Village is my go to spot to go out. It’s chill most of the time, and the crowd doesn’t get too rowdy and pretentious. The Bronx bar is a bar trying to be a club, but we were ok with it. Since it’s close by Baker St., the place where we usually start our night at the village, we usually end up here for one reason or another just for a little more upbeat time since they have a dance floor and play ok music. It was fine, until last weekend when something REALLY bad happened. Although we should have known better by going to a shabby looking«bar» that tries to act like a club, I think we did not deserve the horrible treatment we got from the staff at this establishment. We were out on a Friday night with 11 – 13 people in our group. Our group consists of a bunch of professionals just trying to have some fun. It’s not like we just turned 21 trying to get hyped up type of crowd; no not at all. To make the long story short, it was just closing time and my friend was coming out of the bathroom. The place was still packed but people were starting to get out of there. He had a drink in his had that was almost finished and he was told by the bouncer named DEMETRIUS«It’s time to go, time to get out of here». My friend politely answered«Ok, Im gonna finish this drink real quick» as he was heading to the door. Apparently that wasn’t enough for DEMETRIUS. He grabbed my friend’s arm trying to pull him towards the door. My friend who was surprised by the act told DEMETRIUS«F*** you, get your hands off of me». Apparently that offended him and PUNCHEDMYFRIEND3TIMESTOTHEFACE. Of course my friend, all shocked and dazzled, tried to fight him back but luckily there were people there to stop the situation from getting worse. After the whole commotion, I spoke with a guy named Cody who probably was a manager since he had a business card, told him that my friend did not deserve to be punched THREETIMES. His response was«Your friend must have done something wrong for DEMETRIUS to punch him». I asked to speak to DEMETRIUS and asked him what happened, and he had the same story we had. DEMETRIUS was not attacked, he was cursed at because he started grabbing my friend when he answered him politely about finishing his drink and getting out of there. And when asked why he punched my friend he said«When someone tells me F*** you, Imma beat the crap out of them. I work here, I run this place… and a bunch of other things that pretty much told us that punching a guy that did not hurt him was reasonable. So I politely told everyone that sadly we won’t be back in this establishment and Cody hands me a card and said«Shoot me an e-mail in the morning, maybe we can get you some free drinks or something». And I said no, it’s ok. We spent a lot of money in this place, there were 13 of us, and I personally spent almost $ 300 here to have a good time, but in the end we ended up having a friend with a bloody lip, swollen face, and bruised up arm. I will never be back here, and if you want a good time go elsewhere in the village. Don’t make the same mistake we made. The Village has a lot more to offer than this place.

This is not a club at all just a bar with a mini dance floor… like any club it is what you make of it !! I didn’t care for the video playing type of DJ style it seemed pre planned instead of going with the flow of the crowd

Trash trash trash. Wandered in to the lamest crowd of creepy middle aged guys– probably with pockets full of roofies… Terrible music. Terrible bartender. Ordered 2shots of fireball. $ 18 seriously??? WTF. And they were underpoured by at least an ounce each. What a waste of 10 minutes. Will never be back. BEWARE. Absolute trash.

Went to Bronx bar the other night and lets start off with a doozy Entrance/Bouncer: He checks my friend’s ID. Now he’s from Houston but currently lives in Virginia. He also just moved into a new address. The bouncer(also sounded European/foreign for sure) starts giving my friend crap. Asking him where’s Virginia, what is Virginia, what is his address, where does he live. Finally the bouncer says, no, this ID is fake. I originally thought he was just messing around but he was serious. Proceeds to have the audacity to say«hey man, always memorize your address, I’ve memorized where I have lived the past 10 years» I know thats a bunch of hogwash and BS. I was nearly tempted to ask him where he was from and grill his sorry foreign ass where he grew up and call his ass out about knowing all his address, but I’m sure he would have made something up. He relents and lets us all in. But this guy has issues Inside: Beyond unimpressed. Tries to be a club like in a dive bar décor. People: Some weird people. Some dude randomly comes up and says sorry to bother you but are you into cars? Why? cause I’m asian with spikey hair so I must be a ricer. Honestly this place needs to clean up its act starting with the bouncer and then clean up the freaking floors. AVOID like the plague and run like hell

NEVER coming back here again! I ordered two shots of patron(which was quite overpriced, $ 10/shot) my friend downed her shot while I took half of my shot and noticed little specs at the bottom of my shot glass, so I looked down and it was filled with gnats… I almost threw up knowing my shot had gnats marinated in it and unfortunately my friend drank all of hers. I told the bartender who just poured me a new shot and I look inside and it’s filled with gnats again. He then picks up the patron bottle he’s been using and there’s a load of gnats floating in there. Disgusted, I asked to speak to the manager who just comes and talks to the bartender, I tried to explain what happened but he just ignored me and walked off after he talked to the bartender. The only thing I got compensated was an extra shot of patron and that was AFTER I asked the bartender for it. Honestly I should have been refunded but the manager obviously doesn’t know how to do his job.

My spouse and I came here for a night out and got a couple drinks which accidentally rung up as a little more expensive than usual. Amanda the bartender was so extremely sweet about it and corrected the mistake immediately. She gave us great service and was a pleasure to be around!

I tried Bronx bar on a Saturday night because the music sounded good and the patio looked nice. However, it was pretty crowded and gross inside. At least 2 people spilled their drinks on me in the 20 minutes I spent there. The floors were the stickiest I’ve encountered in a long time, and the drinks were very overpriced. I’m sad because I really wanted to like it, but it seemed to be attracting college kids who just turned 21, and that’s not the scene I was looking for. With that said, I think maybe if you are already drunk and you don’t care what’s going on, it would be a pretty fun place to end the night.

I had a bad experience here but not because of the bar the bar was very relaxing environment very small and comfy on Thursdays and Fridays. But Saturdays itz packed and poping like a club but not a wild one. People are very nice here and the DJ plays all types of music. But beware of thieves cuz someone there stole my purse I had to get everything new and it broke my heart I blame myself for takn a full purse wallet to a bar instead of a few bucks and my id but the bar it self is very comfy and small.

BEWARETHIEVES are there! Someone STOLE my friend’s COAT from the sofa by the DJ last week! Of course they picked the newest, nicest coat! It was a very cold night to have your coat stolen! It was a SIZESMALLCAMELCASHMEREWOOL blend coat! Who would steal a small camel wool coat from a student? It was an expensive and cherished Christmas present. This place does not have a COAT room or even a PHONE to call them.(Their phone is «out of service!») We are trying to get video. If anyone saw someone leaving with a Camel color COLEHAAN coat, please contact me. Some small thief is wearing her coat!

One Friday night, my friends and I went to this bar. I don’t know if there is a certain scene going on here, but the bouncers did refuse to let some people in. They looked 21+, so maybe it was for another reason. Crowded patio. Small bar. Dirty restroom. The dance floor is fit for about 20 people. The crowd ranged from late 20’s to late 30’s. My bloody mary was not a bloody mary. It was like children’s cold medicine. Then the music, oh lord, the music. There were music videos playing on the tv screens that I couldn’t hear because they had music playing on top of it. There was no specific genre. All I heard was overplayed radio songs that were popular years or months ago. One visit was enough for me.

This is a small bar in the West U area, but it is really a hit or miss. If you bring your own group you may have a lot of fun because the music and drinks are A-OK. But if it’s only you and one more person, brace yourselves.

This will be quick. Small space. Skanks. Shitty bartender, who wasn’t hot enough to merit messing up a Crown & Coke. Drunk creepers. Disgusting bathroom. Way overpriced drinks., $ 64 for 5 Vegas Bombs… They got a star for having a patio bar that takes cards.

REVIEWABOUTTHECRAWFISHPARTY I attended their annual crawfish party recently and it is hands down some of the best tasting crawfish I have ever had. You can get run of the mill crawfish and drinks anywhere in town. If your looking for the some great crawfish and drinks this is the place to come. For around $ 15 dollars you are able to eat as much crawfish as you can! While I was in line to get some crawfish, Mr. Cheesecake the chef, was quick to invite me over and show me his tricks and how he makes these crawfish taste so delicious. He really knows what he is doing and loves to have a good time. The music is great and the drinks are reasonably priced. There is usually a younger crowd that comes but I have seen people with thier kids. If your looking for some tasty crawfish and a good time on the weekend this is it. Just be sure to follow them on facebook to see when they are having the party. They have it two or three weekends a year during the crawfish season and it is usually a good idea to make a reservation since there patio fills up quickly.

Shit music. Douche bags. Why does this place even have a line to get in? Actually, how did my dumbass even get convinced to come here? And some guy had the nerve to come up to me and kiss me on the cheek? 1 star and a can of Lysol for my face please.

This place is probably the most«dressiest» place out of the bars in Rice village area. However I went there all covered in glow paint from our 5K and they let our entire group in. We we’re in the mood for dancing that night after visiting the other bars in that area and Bronx Bar is the only one I knew that played good dancing music. The dance area is small but nice and we had a great time dancing to top 40 music and the dj even played the song we requested. I wouldn’t come here regularly but if I’m in that area and I wanna do some dancing this will def. be my go to place.

I would absolutely not recommend Bronx Bar. I came in on a Friday when it was fairly busy and opened a tab. Then I stepped outside for a moment, and when I went to go back in the bouncer refused. I informed him about my open tab and he let me in but demanded my ID as some sort of collateral I guess. Not really sure what his plan was there… Anyways when I went to walk back out apparently the bouncer thought I was in there too long and refused to give me my ID back. It took getting the manager involved for me to get it from the guy. When I was leaving he told me not to ever come back. Don’t worry, tool, I wasn’t planning on it. As for the bar itself — way too loud music, overpriced drinks, and annoying clientele. Seems more like a place you’d find on Washington. Do not go to Bronx Bar! There are much better hangouts in Rice Village.

We were cruising through the Rice Village bars, coming from Brian O’Neil’s, three lovely females in our sort of casual Friday night attire. The place is a sausage fest, I’d say about 70/30, a cesspool of men ready to pounce and objectify my lady parts. I’ve had a couple fun nights at Bronx in my earlier years, only on the weekdays, but it still remains the one bar that we skip on our village runs. Someone please shut this place down, replace it with a tequila bar or chocolate fountain or bounce house, anything but this mess.
