Burgers were unremarkable. Nothing about the burger was memorable except the bun. Bun selection was well done for each of the four burgers I sampled. The fries were the best part of the meal. The staff was friendly and service was quick.

Awesome, good portions and a good value for fresh fries and quality beef.

Buff Burger is quite the gem! I’d never heard of it before, but my boyfriend was craving a burger before going out on a Friday night. We find Buff Burger(via Unilocal) and headed that way! I was so impressed and shocked I didn’t already know about it! It’s only 5 minutes away from my office. They don’t have a super long menu by any means but their options are delicious! He got the Blue Cheese Burger and Truffle Fries, and I got the Momo(chicken) Burger on a Gluten Free Bun(nice option to have; tasted just as good) with Burger Fries! I will say the fries are a tad small. I found them easier to eat with a fork than traditionally with your hands, but not a deal breaker. We’ll be back!

Really good burger, very well seasoned! Staff were cool and helpful! The truffle is the $hit with the brie arugula and truffle in the perfect portions and complex marriage of Flavors is perfect! I’ve even told a few co-workers and sent them over and the have similar experiences. They also have good beer on tap.

We went for the first time this weekend. Great selection on the menu. I had the Texan and my wife had the Bleu. Our friends had the Goat and Ahi Tuna. Everyone really enjoyed their food. Great little place. The girl working the register was patient with us and explained the menu and made great recommendations. We will be back.

Went back and tried a Buff Burger this time. Bacon, goat cheese, burger all wrapped in lettuce. Nice! Can’t wait to go back again.

Got the Goat Cheese burger in the«buff» which means bun-less and wrapped in lettuce– little messy but AMAZING! Then split the truffle fries with boyfriend. This place is so good. Top notch burgers and super friendly staff! Coming back for sure! They do offer Gluten-free buns too!

This was probably the best burger I’ve ever had to date. I had the Bleu and it was amazing. My friends and I split the truffle fries which were also delicious. I will definitely be back.

Me and my wife have dined at Buff twice now. It is good, but we just spent $ 33 on 2 burger, 2 fries and 2 drinks. Seem a little outrageous to me. I had the goat cheese burger, which was good but nothing groundbreaking and my wife had the truffle burger which was about the same. The truffle fries were light on truffle in our opinion. I had the Bleu last time which I recall being incredible. Overall, it’s good, but very overpriced

Really good burger joint. The burger was moist and juicy and I like that they give you the option of ordering«in the buff»(on lettuce buns) for those of you that are carb conscious. The prices are a little steep at $ 8-$ 12/burger but that’s expected with one of these gourmet burger joints. If you’ve ever been to hopdoddy’s in Austin this place has a very similar feel even being served on those infamous metal trays. Buffburger prides themselves on having natural, organic, locally sourced products. I would definitely recommend trying them out! I would skip on the truffle fries as they were a little salty for me and not worth the extra pay but others have said it’s too delicious to pass up. I tried out the truffle burger and it was delicious. Prepare to have your fingers soaked in the meaty juices of the delectable burgers.

Always looking for a gourmet burger place. This one just happened to be by my ophthalmologist. My mom and sister have been raving about this one for a while. So glad I got to try it out over the holidays. I love skinny crispy fries. They make them well. Also get the truffle burger. You have the option to get to get a burger«in the buff,» or wrapped in lettuce instead of a bun. YES.

BuffBurger is a gourmet burger joint that opened several months ago off of I-10 and Wirt Road. The interior is sleek, modern, and clean… reminds me of Smash Burger. However, BuffBurger’s concept is more similar to the infamous Hopdoddy’s. if you haven’t been to Hopdoddy’s it’s arguably Austin’s best burger joint, known for its ridiculous lines. Just like Hopdoddy’s, BuffBurger uses natural ingredients and premium toppings i.e. goat cheese, brie, roasted red tomatoes, truffle aioli, etc. You order at the counter and they will bring your food to you. Service was friendly. I ordered the truffle burger which comes with arugula, brie, onions, and truffle aioli with truffle fries. The truffle fries are basically their regular fries sprinkled with truffle oil and parmesan. Not sure if it’s worth the price increase but they were good. The burger was cooked right and brie on a burger isn’t something you see every day. BuffBurger is a solid burger joint when you’re looking for a quick and affordable meal.

My kids wanted a burger before going to the Magical Winter Lights in northwest Houston. I read the reviews and decided to hit up Buff Burgers before heading up there. When we got there, it was not that crowded. So we ordered the cold noodles with chicken, a BuffBurger, and two kids dinners(hot dog plate and mini buff burger plate). The burger was fresh and tasted great, same with the fries. The kids buff burger was pretty small. It’s just a tad bigger than a standard white castle burger. My wife like her cold noodles. Overall it was good, but a tad overpriced for what you got. We were already hungry 3 hours later.

Loved the fries ! Burger was good, I really like the onion straws they add a nice flavor. The meat itself needed a bit of seasoning. This place overall is a bit pricey for a regular spot for me, but I would come back if in the area.

As this place is close to where we lived and with good reviews, the husband and I decided to try it. We ended up ordering the Goat Cheese Burger for me, the Avocado Burger for my husband, and a side of truffle fries. When the burgers arrived, they were pretty small for the price. I guess that’s what you pay for what they call a gourmet burger. When eating my burger, the goat cheese wasn’t spread very evenly so I was having some bites with goat cheese and some with none at all. I wasn’t blown away by my burger, and neither was my husband. My husband said the guacamole made his burger cold, which was a downside for him. The only thing that I really liked when eating here were the fries. We devoured those. The fries are pretty thin, which makes it nice and crispy. A plus side for me. I didn’t think you could really taste the truffle oil though. Overall I wasn’t blown away by the burger, and I don’t see myself coming back just for fries.

Buffburger. A place I pass by everyday on my way home, and every time I think«should I make a stop?». WELLTODAY I DID. Are their burgers great? Yes. Are they made fresh? Yes. Are they juicy? YES!!! Come in, grab a burger and beer. You won’t be disappointed

Our first time at buff burger we got the goat cheese burger and the blue cheese and fig burger. We also ordered the truffle fries and Texas chili. The burgers were good. But I felt like the cheese overwhelmed the taste of the meat. The arugula helped make the burger stand out a bit, but overall it was OK. The fries were good, but with most places«spicing» up their fries, this is nothing too special. And lastly, the chili. It was by no means Texas style besides no beans. The spices were too overwhelming and it tasted burnt. Overall, I probably wouldn’t come back for the food, but the staff’s friendly attitude helped push this rating to a 4 star.

We got there at 11am on a Wednesday morning so the place was empty. We were greeted by a nice young man who took our order at the counter. Ordered a buff burger for my son and a Momo(a chicken sandwich) for me. One truffle fry to share and one fountain drink. That was $ 25 which I couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at. One bite of that chicken sandwich and I was absolutely hooked! It is easily the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever eaten. It was so so so so so very good! And worth every penny. Now the fries could have been better. Tossed with a little fresh grated Parmesan cheese & they would have been delicious. So at those prices I can’t go as often as I might like but I will definitely be back.

After several visits, I’ve noticed a progression towards consistency. After initially flipping(no pun intended) between well made to over cooked and salty patties, they’ve settled on doing things right! The chef /manager will make a point to check on things after the food has been served. The Truffle burger is my favorite followed by the Avocado burger. They are moderately sized and not the Texas sized burgers I’ve become accustomed to but that’s okay! Since they are quality, they are filling nonetheless. Which brings me to value. The prices for the«gourmet» style burgers are very reasonable. Don’t forget to order truffle fries. There aren’t many burger places in the immediate vicinity of spring valley, so to have Buffburger open up here is convenient.

In my humble opinion, this place is way overhyped. I like the concept of using all local resources(farmers, bakeries, ranchers per their website); however, I would prefer that I have a great tasting burger no matter where the ingredients came from. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1:30 pm. Although it was way past lunch hour, the place was really packed. There were almost no empty table in the restaurant. I waited in line to order for a little bit and decided to go with the classic: bacon cheeseburger; or as they call it here, buffburger with bacon and American cheese. I also ordered a side of truffle fries because who doesn’t some truffle fries, right? I didn’t order any drinks with that, but notice that the beer pricing here is probably on par with ordering beers at a bar. I thinks a bottle of craft beer is around $ 4 or so. My tab with tax and tips included came to around $ 17 — not exactly cheap for a cheeseburger and some fries. For the price, I was expecting some good, out of this world, burger. Especially after reading all the raves and reviews from other Unilocalers. After I placed my order, I was lucky enough to snag a table and waited a little while. My order didn’t take too long to prepare so that’s a good thing. When I finally got my order, I was already hungry(and when you’re hungry, everything tastes better, right?) So imagine my disappointment when I took that first bite of my burger. It was good, but it wasn’t THAT good. The patty was pretty dry and not juicy as I like it — it felt more like eating a bison patty instead of some juicy hamburger. Don’t get me wrong, the bread and the bacon were good, but I didn’t come here for the bread and the bacon. I came for the burger. And the burger means beef hamburger patties!!! I’m also a fan of truffle fries. So when I tried the«truffle» fries but realized that it tasted more like regular fries to me because I could barely taste the truffle, I became even more disappointed. If I ever came back here, I would completely skip the truffle fries altogether and try something else. I’m not sure if it was just a fluke because other Unilocalers seem to love their truffle fries. But to me, just eh — average. The hype that surrounds this place might have increased my expectations a little bit. But hey, good burger is good burger. You combine the average tasting burger and fries with the high price, you get a place that I probably wouldn’t bother to come back to unless I’m meeting up friends who want to dine here. Your mileage may vary, obviously.
