The atmosphere is so warm and nice decorate. The fish noodles here is sooooooo good and fresh just like the way they make it in da nang. My husband love their new PHOCA good for diets and healthy. Thumbs up for the services the owner actually cares about customers and offer free deserts and refills. Will refers to all friends and family.

I have been here several times and my last visit was the worst. The fish cake was super thin, super dry and chewy like rubber band, the broth wasn’t tasty and the drink– strawberry lemonade was full of chemical flavor. The service was nice. Their employees always nice and polite. I give 5 stars for their employees but I won’t come back for the food if they are trying to make their food cheap. Sorry bun cha ca, but I am sick after eating your rubber bands now.

Authentic food from middle of Vietnam. My husband had yellow noodle(mì qung) and I with fish cake in dried noodle. My husband’s dish is very authentic and the taste was exactly like his hometown. My bowl is ok. They made it like between bun thit nuong(grilled pork noodle) and bun hen(baby clams). Besides typical herbs, they also included young jackfruits which i really liked. Wished they could put more fish cake. You should have refresh drink(see picture) and it’s free refill

I love this place! The place is very nice and clean so different to other noodle restaurant after you eat you walk out with the smell on your clothes this place doesnt thats a plus. The food come out very fast and great services. I cant get enough of their fish cake always order their lunch special(large bowl of any noodles & artichoke pandan drink plus free refills) with a side of cha ca. The fish cake heres is made fresh everyday and they dont use MSG! I give them 2 thumb up over all their noodles is very good!!! Great new place in town for different taste of FISHNOODLES not other typical beef noodles which is more healthier and low on carbs. This is my new favorite place to eat for lunch or dinner

I actually prefer this place than Bun Bo Hue. For a late night meal, Bun Cha Ca is great and light for stomach. I have never had this dish before but based on what I have tasted here, it’s really delicious. Add a little chili and shrimp paste, it’s strong in flavor but not too much. The broth is very clear and fried Cha Ca is tasty. Plus one star for no MSG and refillable drink. The place is spacious and clean. Service is attentive. Definitely will come back again!

Bun Cha Ca is good. I definitely go back for it. The fish paste should be a little saltier. Their mam tom is too smelly so I kinda regret that I put it in my bowl. I would give 4 stars for their Bun. 7.99 for small bowl and 8.99 for big bowl. Their small bowl is good enough for medium size person. Their Mi Quang is not authentic to me. I’m from Da Nang and usually they do belly pork(with fat) but this is 100% meat which lessen the taste. The noodle they use is not very good too. 1.5 star for Mi quang(nice bowl deco). But I guess everybody have different taste and preference. They only have 2 dishes here. I have no problem with that because their name is Bun Cha Ca DN. They specialize for it and u just need to respect their choice. Their veggies is good in size and deco. Artichoke drink is 2.99 refillable but doesn’t taste really good(but cheap haha). Total experience is around 3.5 star, not 4 but since there are low ratings they got I wanna encourage the business that they are doing good job on the Bun Cha Ca :) The place is clean and nice designed. They don’t take credit card at the moment but I hope they will improve that or they will limit their exposure to customers.

Great spot, food is good and the everybody is friendly. It’s more different then the other usual spots(phở). They also have mi quang which I think is very good too. They also have this hot sauce that is very spicy that makes the food even more good. Oh the best part is that there is no MSG! Overall I give them a 2 thumbs up and probably will come back soon.

I was reluctant to try them because of the relatively low ratings here. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Like many of the newer restaurants on Bellaire, it’s clean and nicely decorated. The employees were friendly and attentive. They only have two items and they were both good, although I personally preferred the Mi Quang a little more just because I generally prefer dry noodles. They also have a Vietnamese drink that comes with free refills. Best thing of all, they state that they don’t use MSG.

I have never had this type of noodles before, therefore I can’t really say it’s good nor bad. To me, the broth was bland, but there’s shrimp paste if you would like(which I found it to be odd). In the broth, they had cabbage leaves, a piece of tomatoes, a piece of squash, 3 slices of deep fried fish paste. I Google for the recipe and apparently that’s the way Bun Cha Ca Da Nang is. I would definitely come back to taste it again since now I know what to expect

I was about to stop at Bun Bo Hue Duc Chuong, but saw this new place. I wanna to try, I like the fact the place is new and very clean . I was surprised how limit the menu was just 2 choices . Bun Cha Ca or Mi Quang I had Bun Cha Ca, it was good but still missing something in the taste. I should have gone with my first idea Bun Bo Hue. But I did try !

First of all, the decoration is quite cute and modern, it looks very clean. There are only 2 items on the menu; Bún Cha Cá(fish paste with noodle) and Mì Quang(shrimp, pork with yellow wide flat noodle), both of them are special dishes from Da Nang. Bun cha ca was ok, the soup is clear and quite tasty, however I am not a very big fan of cha ca(fish paste). For mi quang, I must admit that it is better than many other restaurants, however, my dad is from Da Nang, so I am extremely picky about this dish and Mi Quang here is just not good enough. It just miss a lot of important ingredients to make this dish perfect. For a small bowl: it is $ 7.99, and big bowl is $ 8.99, to-go will be extra $.75, it is so not worth the money. Mì Quang and bun cha ca are so easy to make and nothing expensive in these dishes, IMO phở is more difficult. I am sure I will not come back to this place.

The hype about this restaurant among the older Vietnamese population in Houston was really high. Although it’s a fairly small and new restaurant, when I walked in, all of the tables were filled and there were 2 parties waiting ahead of me. I had a party of 6, it took a while for our table to be set up because the majority of the tables in there are seated for 4. They only had a table for 4 available so we had to wait for them to get another small table for us to attach it to our 4 seated table. Although we asked about 3 times for the small table, we were kind of brushed off. It took about 10 more minutes for them to find another table. I get that they were busy and new but they were slow in service and reassuring us that we had to wait. It made me felt like they forgot about us for a while because they kept on seating other people at the door. That was 1 star off for me. Another problem was that there were flies everywhere where I was seated, which was by the door. Gigantic flies and mosquitoes. I felt dirty and itchy at the beginning. The flies then flew away someplace else later in our meal. 1 star off. When we were finally all seated, we were not given menus and were asked what to order right away. This is a brand new restaurant so we wouldn’t know what to order, and also we weren’t given any menus. My dad had to go get the menus himself behind the counter. The menu consisted of only 2 main dishes: the bun cha cá and mí quang. Pretty simple and interesting. They also had a small lists of drinks. Because there were only 2 dishes available, I had high expectations for the entrees. I got a small bowl of mì quang. It was really different compared to other places I’ve had it at. Instead of a small amount of broth in the mì quang, there was sort of like a grainy sauce. I didn’t really like it, it was too salty and the flavor and texture was weird. They also didn’t add a peanuts which is a signature in the dish. They added half a boiled egg in the dish like it was ramen lol. I had a little sample of the broth of the bún cha cá; it was very light and refreshing but I felt like it was lacking favor. My dad said that the cha in the dish was very nicely made though but the overall dish wasn’t that good. 1 star off for food. All of the staff were really nice! Our waiter was still new at the job so while he was placing the vegetables on our table, he spilled a little of the bean sprouts so he said sorry and giggled a lot. He was young too, that was kind of cute. I felt bad for him lol. The decorations were also nice and modern. 1 star plus. I really hope they improve their recipes and speed up their service later on after getting a lot of input!

Bun cha ca was ok. the soup was lack of seasoning. Cha ca(fish cake) was good. My mixed lettuce and bean sprout weren’t look good. Service was so low. Hopefully they will improve.
