Bunker Hill Cafe

I work in the area but normally I burn the midnight oil but I had to come in for a meeting. My co worker’s said your favorite store (HEB) now serves lunch (the café area was under construction last time I went) they stop in every now and then for lunch and said its good each time they went. I had to make a move to my HEB to try it out before I made it to the café I stopped and made some groceries. BONUS: I got coupon for 3 bucks off a dinner and free dessert when I checked out :) even better. Cashier was friendly and helpful I placed my order got a pager to alert me when it’s ready. The pager comes in handy especially for people like me who likes to wonder off for samples and whatever else. I got my page I went to café sitting are. The sitting area was nice they had a TV to watch magazines to read space to kick back eat take a load off. The food was hot, fresh and delicious the mac n cheese had just enough creamy goodness the ribs were fall off bones tender season was just right and the brisket beans were good. The banana pudding was tasty and tea was just right. Overall for a grocery store chain it was pretty good. HEB is my go to store so the café is a added bonus.

Very dirty café — which is disappointing given that it’s brand new. I thought that the Bunker Hill HEB was finally going to get a hip new place to eat but their version of a café fell short. HEB — please dedicate employees to keeping the eating area clean on a regular basis otherwise you’re letting your brand new investment look like a ghetto McDonalds. The food was descent — the brisket was just very cold. My (one) order took over 20min to get to me because the workers didn’t push the button to buzz in my order. Get it together, HEB!

Located inside of HEB @ Bunker Hill is this cute little salad bar/​café, serving fresh salads with a variety of toppings.
The Greek salad (pasta, olives, feta cheese, cucumbers, and tomatoes) is the best!
Checked in to get a free a fountain drink.
Our cashier, Gabby, though quiet, was a breath of fresh air in kindness!
This is a definite must-​try.
