Took my wife and Mom there last evening since this is a landmark and used to be one of our favorites! My Mom was even there on the night it opened! I have to say they have lost any cache they once had and it is now on a ‘never again’ list! It took them forever to get us 2 beers and a Marguarite! The bottles of Modela they brought had filthy tops and of course no glass to pour them in! Additionally, our waiter was always MIA and had zero personality! About 45 minutes after we ordered they brought out the food. On my plate was a cheese enchilada that was so tough that I couldn’t cut it with a knife! My wife and Mom split a combo, however, they didn’t bring an extra plate??? We had to ask for one when another waiter happened by– ours was never close by. Also they brought me another enchilada which was okay, but not great! The overall experience took over 2 hours and not because it pleasurable and/or relaxing. It’s too bad that such an iconic spot has changed so badly and is nothing more now than a dirty neighborhood bar with a bunch of drunk regulars! By the way, the two times I walked by the bar there was no one behind it! No wonder drinks took forever!!!

Not knowing that the Cadillac Bar had a Sunday Brunch, I was very pleasantly surprised that the Sunday Brunch that they offered was, well, a Sunday Brunch on Steroids! If memory serves(I just went on Sunday 5⁄23), they had six different food stations. So many great TexMex offerings, American offerings, omelette bar, dessert, regular breakfast bar, pancake, waffle bar, and so much food. Service was friendly, we arrived at 10:10am, and and the food fest began. My only complaint was one of the female managers took a seat with a patron right next to us, and for 20 minutes, I had to hear«work talk». Never in the dining room… Will return in the future. Stay Hungry my friends…

Hadn’t been here in years… we decided to check this place out again this time for brunch since brunch wasn’t available back then olé school days… the food was great! wow, I was really impressed of all the variety of authentic Mexican cuisine, so much food didn’t know what to try first so I tried a little of everything, which did not disappoint. It still has the same great taste!

I stopped in for 2 drinks yesterday in between meetings. Nice bartender but not sure why she assumed I was ordering«house» margaritas. Maybe it was to help me save money… at least that’s how I’m going to decide to look at it as oppose to that being what she assumes I can afford.

Anyone who knows me knows I have an unhealthy passion for food. Whether I’m cooking or just eating it, there’s something about the presence of delicious cuisine that makes me salivate while simultaneously warming my entire body. After living in Houston for nearly three years, and despite the previous advice of my mother, I had yet to visit Cadillac Bar until today; good lord I didn’t know what I’d been missing! I have gone to many a restaurant for brunch in my day, but NOTHING compares to the Sunday brunch at Cadillac Bar when it comes to «bang for your buck». Does Eggs Benedict with cilantro-hollandaise sound good to you? They’ve got it. Carnitas enchiladas smothered in savory mole sauce? Perfectly moist capirotada/Mexican bread pudding? Succulent parmesan chicken? Flavorful fruit crepes? Done, done, and done! Equally impressive was the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar; you’re given a large glass with ice, vodka, and lime, then pointed in the direction of a table that has everything from asparagus to fresh olives to pearled onions(in addition to multiple sauces and condiments). TL;DR Cadillac Bar takes the average brunch buffet and triples your expectations. Pretty much everything is beyond delicious and the servers are friendly and attentive. The price per person is only $ 20.99(which may seem like a lot, but trust me, it’s TOTALLY worth it). I could easily see other restaurants charging upwards of $ 30+ for the same quality of food and service. Do yourself a favor and get a table next Sunday; you won’t regret it!

DONOTHAVEANEVENTHERE. We reserved their back room for a class reunion recently, and it was maybe the worst overall customer experience I’ve ever encountered. From the start, our entire group was treated not as customers or patrons, but rather as annoyances. The employees just don’t give a %^^+. But I’ll focus this review on more tangible things: First, the manager had hounded us for weeks about a final number, even well before the deadline that they gave us. And I mean HOUNDED. Then we arrive on event night and need a little change for the door. Ticket price was $ 35, so we needed some fives. After trying both bars and speaking to a manager, we’re told that they don’t have any fives anywhere in the building. OK, not that big of a deal(making change was not part of our agreement), but they were pretty rude about it. Then they tell us they won’t be serving Dos XX for us that night because«they’re out». And they ran out on Negro Modelo less than five minutes into the event. Seriously? This is a Tex-Mex restaurant, right? Saturday night? Unreal. On to the food. Beef fajitas were pretty good, but the chicken was bland. The beef ran out because nobody would touch the chicken, but no refill of course. And even though the chicken was rubbery, we pre-paid so of course we want to take the leftovers home, right? Nope, they came through and took everything away before we could even notice and react. Probably 5 or 6 lbs of chicken that we had already bought. Thanks for that. After I called them on it they offered to make us up a pound to take home and treated it like a huge inconvenience. We had the room reserved until 11, but at 10:15 they crank the lights up and start encouraging us to leave. Nice touch, guys. Oh, and one of the employees stole my wife’s iPhone as we’re packing up. We even know who it is and where they live(thanks to Find my iPhone). When we took it to the restaurant manager, he just denied denied denied and totally refused to even look into it. A pair of Ray-Bans also went mysteriously«missing» that night. Bottom line, they don’t stock their bar, they treat customers like dirt, and they might steal your stuff. Yeah, go somewhere else.

I have had both good and bad experiences here. The worst of it has been waiting on service for a long time and i had chicken bones in my enchilladas twice so far. Told the manager on duty that day and he didnt really do anything that i could see. Other times i come her with my husband and the manager on duty is suuuper nice and helpful. The best experience by far is when we have magdielle as our waiter. He is very attentive and get everything out quickly and constantly refills our drinks. Ask for gis table and you wont be dissapointed.

Food is always great but service is very inconsistent. Last night my wife and I ate here for dinner. They were not packed at all so the slow service was odd. We also came here amd. hosted a Christmas party in December for about 40 people and the service was amazing. For the food, everything was great. We had an order of beef fajitas flameado and it was great. The onions had a wonderful Char that really brought out the flavor. We also got the carnitas original style where the meat is flash fried. This was very good and the meat so moist and tender. For tortillas you can have wheat, corn, or flour. The wheat are huge and all are made fresh. I asked our server about the shrimp embrochett too and you can order these a la carte in pairs of 2 for $ 4. This is not on the menu but definitely a good idea and perfect for the low carb eater. I also highly recommend the sampler platter. It has everything on it you would like from the appetizers menu. The soft taco is probably the best taco I have ever put in my mouth. So yum.

This place has been around since I was a kid. Love to stop by and grab drinks when I’m in town. Great BRUNCH and Tex-Mex.

One thing that really turns me off: A chicken enchilada containing the gristle and cartilage. When I make the dish at home I’m VERYCAREFUL to exclude these unappealing parts from the recipe. I was disappointed that The Cadillac Bar could not do the same.

Went here after a company function last week to hang out — it’s a neat place! I don’t do enough checking out places in this area, so this was a neat change of pace for me. We ordered drinks and the sampler appetizer and I have to say — YUM!!! The drinks are strong and the food is excellent! If not for our CEO hanging with us, I would have had a more fun, loose time! LMAO. You should give this place a try — and they even have extra security in the adjacent parking lot — PLUS for me!

Came here for Sunday brunch. The al pastor taco(albeit salty), mole enchilada, pork/cheese pupusa, and french toast were excellent. The shrimp enchilada, egg benedict, and beef empanada were good. I would avoid all the fish; they were super dry and tasted like a heap of salt. The chocolate cake was dry, perhaps because it was towards the end and had been sitting out all morning, and the watermelon juice was sweetened like kool aid. Three stars for the food. The good was really good, the bad was really bad. But considering the high price per person, I probably won’t be back.

I came here during the happy hour rush, and was satisfied with my visit. If you want to do some people watching or go out for dinner and drinks with friends in a casual setting, then this place is good for that. The food is standard Tex-Mex, so think cheesy, spicy, filling, and very flavorful. Despite its generally unhealthy but tasty menu, there are actually a few lighter choices that I would recommend you try. I ordered the ceviche and was beyond satisfied with it. It was truly delicious! The generous portion size was filling. Nothing irritates me more than ordering ceviche and getting a tiny serving of it! Overall, this place is a fun, loud, casual experience and has good food and friendly service. What’s not to like?

I love this place! Guess what today is? NATIONALTEQUILADAY! I went here last evening for an early birthday dinner and the signs were out, the specials were posted and my taste buds were ready to let the margaritas flow baby! I shared the delicious Cabo Del Mar Combo with one guest and my other guest had the flautas. Yummy — great service and quality ingredients– the parking is ONPOINT!(Girls need close proximity to the establishment in this heat *ughhh) There will be an Update to this review after I experience the Tequila madness today… stay tuned!

This is my second visit and probably my last. I made reservations for Sunday brunch at 1:00pm. I knew I had to make reservations since today is Father’s day. When we got there at 12:40pm, the hostess told me to hold the pager and it will take 5 minutes. Fifteen minutes later, I asked the hostess what was the hold up and she immediately seated us. Had I not said anything, she would’ve never seated me. The food stations are located all over the restaurant. So, if you’re sitting on one side of the restaurant and you want to visit a station all across the other side, you’ll have to weave in and out of people since the place is very crowded. Thankfully, no one dropped their food/drink on me and vice versa. There’s tons of food and something for everyone, even the kiddos. The taco station is okay. You get to pick which meat and tortilla you want and the lady at the station will make it for you. There’s tons of toppings too. They don’t have the crawfish enchiladas anymore. Those were amazing. There’s also a huge variety of assorted enchiladas and I tried the seafood enchilada which was gross. I took one bite and tossed it aside. The omelette station is great. The lady at this station can make up to 3 orders at a time. You just tell her which toppings you want inside your omelette and she will make it fresh and hot for you. This was probably my favorite station since the food is hot. The rest of the food was okay. Hash browns were cold, french toast was weird, and the beef empanadas were luke warm. I didn’t try the kabobs though. Agua de fresca(watermelon juice) was very good! They also have fresh lemonade(not too sweet/sour) and fresh pineapple juice. I wanted more agua de fresca but the lady did not replace it. I wanted to try the dessert but I was too full. My sister said the churros were really good and doughy and the tres leches is very moist. My sister needed another fork and the guy was hesitant about it and said he’ll have to ask his manager. All she needed was a fork. Was it that big of a deal? Also, they did not honor our $ 5 off $ 20 coupon which was lame. I probably won’t be back anymore.

Came here because it was part of Landry’s Select Club restaurants. In a sentence I would describe the restaurant as «I have had worse but I have definitely also had better.» It was a fairly run of the mill restaurant. Considering how many good tex-mex restaurants there are in Houston, I would say that this place was pretty lack-luster. I tried the Gulf Snapper Del Mar and found it to be quite ordinary and the fish, without the sauce, to be quite dry. The desserts(Tres Leches and Chocoflan) were pretty meh in my opinion, although they were presented nicely. The restaurant had nice, colorful decorations and ample parking space behind the restaurant. The service was average.

Brunch heaven! Make the rounds at all of the food stations and let the eating begin. I am not going into all of the this and that’s of this restaurant, but take my word for it, if you can’t find any food you like on this brunch menu, then you are just impossible to please. Waiters are very attentive with coffee, tea, water refills. High 5’s and 2 thumbs up on this place!

This is the most disgusting place… Accidentally walked into the private event space thinking it was the main dining room– I found that it smelled like mold and raw sewage. Once in the main dining room, there were no hosts at the stand. We were taken to our table by a busboy who was very polite. Our server Magdial was on point, even though all that was ordered was a mimosa, which was alright. He doesn’t deserve to be working in a restaurant that has what I’m about to tell you next: ROACHALERT. Yes, I found a roach in this restaurant and was so disgusted that I got up and left without ordering anything more. I informed a manager who simply said, «Okay, thanks» and never returned to check up on our table. Disgusted. No other word to describe my feelings toward this place.

My first time visiting Cadillac bar was a great experience. I completely forgot about happy hour and was greeted with $ 3.75 margaritas that didn’t taste like PVC pipe. Awesome! If you absolutely need a TV to watch, be careful when being seated in the small room on the opposite of the bar. For some reason, this room is walled off from the rest of dining area. Their take on tex-mex is pretty good. The food wasn’t too greasy, the flavor was perfect, and the menu items were close to traditional. I had their chalupas, which were more like tostadas, sopes, or huaraches, depending on what part of Mexico your family is from. Generous portions with yummy sides as well. I’m interested in trying their breakfast.

Review based on Brunch — This is one of the best AYCE brunch spots in town! They have an incredible amount of tex-mex selection, and price isn’t that bad either. The wait can be kind of brutal on Sunday, up to an hour. You get seated a little quicker if your a Landrys member. TIP: If you go to any Landrys more than once, its doesnt make sense NOT to get that card. I got it a couple years ago, and I think it cost $ 25 bucks, but you get $ 25 off the next time you go to a Landrys, so its basically free. I’ve already gotten $ 75 off meal from using the card since then too. They have a long hot buffet that has the typical taco fixins. They have several types of enchiladas on another buffet. There is a Waffle/Crêpe station with banana, blueberry, strawberry and apple toppings and french toast. They have a bloody mary bar that has all the toppings. My wife’s new favorite drink is the frozen bellini’s that has a short bottle of champagne turned in it too… its pretty good. Food: 4.5 Drinks: 4.5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Price: 4 My two favorite places for AYCE brunch is here and Americas. Americas has a little better quality(nice meat carving station), but not the variety of Cadillac; however it does have a $ 14 bottomless drink deal which is unbeatable. The food in the regular restaurant is not bad either. Margaritas are always good, but the service at the bar can be slow sometimes.
