The lunch buffet is pretty limited in selection but everything is pretty good. It’s not the best lunch buffet but I’d go back. The parking lot kinda sucks because it’s shared with a grocery store.

I would not recommend this place! We went as a small group and all ordered pizza. After waiting around 40 min for our food they brought my husband and I the wrong pizza. They re-made ours which took 30 minutes then didn’t even discount our price. Our group was here for over 2 hours. My husbands bill came out to $ 40 for pizza and 2 cokes. I think that is a little ridiculous.

We order here for takeout every couple of months. The gluten free pizza crust is good when it’s hot, but on the small side(only one size available). Tonight the calamari batter was inedibly over-salted. And for the first time we ordered shaved Brussel sprouts as a side– the amount they gave us was teeny tiny… not much bigger than a side of ranch dressing, and it was a pricey side dish. Normally a 3.5 star, but tonight was a bummer.

Candelari’s has a fantastic happy hour, with discounted apps like calamari and some really tasty frozen Bellinis that makes winding down after work really easy. There are some flatbreads on the happy hour menu that are also tasty, so it’s not hard to make a meal out of it, too. Outside of happy hour, you can’t go wrong with their pizzas or pastas. They’ve always treated us right, which makes this a favorite after work stop.

Holy heck. How does this location only have three stars? I’m not even going to cloud my judgment by reading other reviews. I ate here last week for dinner while I was in town for work. Server was very friendly, fast, and gave awesome food /drink recommendations. My Diavolo pizza was fantastic and those mozzarella stick are huge AND delicious. My boozy basil cucumber drink was also wonderful. No complaints.

I have eaten at Candelari’s many times over the years. It’s a great, local Italian restaurant. However, I had never thought about ordering the steak(it’s Italian, right?). Wow was I pleasantly surprised! It easily beat the last half-dozen(or more) steaks I’ve had a fancy steak shops! The steak actually came out medium-well as requested, which only one high-end steak place has managed to pull off in the last 30 years, and was still very tender and tasty. I ate the steak back on Tuesday and have not stopped wanting another since.

My roommate and I used to come here frequently but we both moved from the area. Tonight we got massages at Cloud 9 an decided to hit Candelari’s up for dinner afterward. We waited quite a bit for drinks and our appetizer. The caprese salad has changed for the worse. My cappellini and shrimp was just meh. The pasta and shrimp was overdone. Our server was sweet and I typically never leave a tip under 20% but our credit cards were taken to be run and it took them 30 minutes to find them an return them to us. To me in a half empty restaurant that is completely unacceptable, The manager came to the table an apologized but didn’t offer to comp to app or a dessert and instead asked us as we were leaving if he could do anything. I said no we’ve already paid so there is nothing to do now. Perhaps addressing the issue while you were at our table the first time would have been far more effective. The food has gone downhill in the past few years, the service is terribly ineffective and the management doesn’t seem to be interested in keeping customers. Won’t be back.

Ok place. Went in on a Sunday– hand full of people were there. It took over half an hour to get a pepperoni pizza. Not impressed with that.

The food and location are great, service is good and portions are at a good size, too bad they are not using«real black» olives on the pizza. I wonder what else is a fake. using real olives will be a big change, overall not too bed.

They’ve got good pizza. I suppose a decent wine selection and drinks as well. However don’t expect a pimms or a Moscow mule from the bar. Keep it simple. Happy hour is rather reasonable and staff is very attentive and friendly.

Just back the other day. Excellent finocchio pizza(fennel sausage, fennel) and a great bottle of wine. It is a solid four stars for me and they are trying harder than ever. Give it a try and sit at the bar. Real neighborhood feel.

This is a fairly good option for local pizza. They have a lot of options, and the crust is thicker than most places. It’s odd that you can save $ 3 for a «thin crust» that resembles a normal crust at a lot of places. It jakes awhile for pizzas to cook(compared to other pizza places) and I have found them to be a little too oily for my palate. I have never had anything taste bad, and I still dine here as the location is great. Some of the brunch options look better than their advertised pizza. The service isn’t top of the line but in general I have received good service. Deserving of 3 stars.

This is one of our go-to lunch choices for work. They have a good buffet that everyone should be able to find something on. Obviously their pizza is the main part of the buffet. Sometimes it hit or miss. The last time I went, there wasn’t much variety. A lot of basic pepperoni and cheese. Other times, they have a diverse selection of pizza with many toppings. Do try their sausage and veggies toward the end, and of course the fresh baked chocolate chip cookies. They also have great happy hour specials.

Happy hour prices were good, but the food and service was«meh.» We had the calamari and a pizza… due to happy hour prices it was only about $ 15. The pizza was pretty good, but the calamari was chewy(aka overdone). If it was just this I would have given the place a 3, but the service was very slow. It was probably just our waiter, he completely forgot to take the order at the people sitting next to us… they sat there with menus half the time we were at the place.

This place is great! Food and the people were amazing. I always order their calzones from there and it’s super yummy. The place has a comfy environment and it’s great for family or a big group. Parking is super easy and big as well so you shouldn’t have any problems there. They have an excellent collection of wine and beer. Their dessert is always different each day so ask the servers specially what they are and they will be more happy to help you. This place is an awesome pizza and pasta place. Will definitely go again.

For a family-style restaurant, this is one of the best. Italian restaurants come and go, and I’ve been to a few. The décor here is nice, the service has always been very good. Our favorite server is Juan(or «Juanito» as he calls himself), who even took back my pizza without provocation, when he realized it didn’t have the basil on it. Now talk about being attentive and proactive. Everything I’ve had there has been good, including the pizzas: I think this is because they make their own meats, especially sausage. You can tell whenever it is in one of their dishes — the lasagna is to die for! Juan was knowledgable about the wine list, and recommended a very good red for me. Would recommend to those who love good Italian food and pizza. It has become my favorite Italian place to eat, for a moderately priced restaurant. I would even choose this over places like Carrabba’s, which has always been good, but very salty, and now that it is trying to boutique itself, a bit pricey for what you get. You know that feeling you get when you find a hidden gem in your neighborhood. Well, for me, that would be Candelari’s…

This place has a wonderful atmosphere for a casual date, and the menu has a wide selection of pizzas and pastas. I came with a group last night, and while the pastas they ordered looked amazing I wasn’t a big fan of the margherita and cheese pizzas I tasted. I don’t think I’ve ever had a margherita with parsley instead of basil but that’s what was on this pizza! If not for the parsley, that pizza was pretty good and I was a fan of the veggie oil they put on top. The cheese was mediocre, not very flavorful. Here’s what made the experience go from 4 to 3 stars. We split the check and one in our group was accidentally charged 3 times. It was a bit difficult to explain and work out with our server, but when the manager came by he did take care of the problem quickly and professionally. If I come back, I’ll be ordering one of the pastas and paying on one check!

I have to say I was quite eager to try out their pizza after seeing the wonderful combinations and options they offered since we moved just around the corner. We decided to order delivery and ordered 2: one T-Rex and one ½ Autentica & ½ Funghi. Problem 1: I gave the guy taking our order our address twice, and he repeated it back correctly BUT wrote it down with an extra 0 so delivery guy was all lost so it took a good while before we got our pizza. Problem 2: since the poor delivery guy was lost because of the error, our pizza arrived cold and very soggy. Problem 3: we were not given or offered any Parmesan cheese or red pepper flake packets either I guess we are SUPER spoiled by having had the privilege of living within delivery distance of Frank’s Pizza and Bombay Pizza. With that being said, their delivery is WAY faster; even though, we were over ½ mile away AND the guys are on BIKES!!! We literally live around the corner now from Candelaris and having our pizza around nearly an hour later was not cool. Taste: meh. Like I said earlier, I think we were spoiled by places like Frank’s and Bombay whose pizza always arrived piping hot and crispy despite arriving by bike. We actually ordered garlic to be added on both pizzas; and with that being said, there still wasn’t that much taste to either pizza. They were rather bland; there was no real oomph or pizzazz(they really need more seasoning and spice). Funny thing is, another reviewer compared the pizza to Lean Cuisine but worse; I have to agree because I like Lean Cuisine more than this. Another interesting thing is that Mondays is buy one get one ½ off; we ordered on a Monday, I asked the guy about the special, ordered both 12″ and our bill was still just over $ 30! The pizza is SO not worth it at all; Frank’s and Bombay both would’ve been less for larger size pizzas. I was seriously looking forward to some good, not spectacular, pizza from here; sad to say, we will not be frequent customers.
