Burnt, rock-hard chicken tenders and onion rings. Food should never go out of the kitchen that way, ever.

This is probably the worst Carl Jr’s I have ever been to. The food was put into the wrappers with such«I don’t care» sloppy-ness. The amount of condiment that they put on the sandwiches was so heavy you could barley taste the meet. French fries were cold and the grease they used was old. They got my order wrong and didn’t give me my onion rings, we dined in and it took them 15 minutes to get my onion ring and when they gave them to me they were cold too. Never going back.

Good food, absolutely terrible service get it together the point of fast food is the not waiting part, it shouldn’t take 30 plus minutes. Especially in drive through.

Carl’s Jr has the potential to be one of the better fast food hamburger joints in town but… To start with the line was out the door and they only had one register working. This was around 3 o’clock so not a typical rush hour time. Like many other reviews the employees did seem to be moving about not knowing what they were doing. The food: We ordered the Angus guacamole burgers and tea. The burger had a good taste except that the meat was not even warm. The bacon was thick and good. There was not very much guacamole. The next time I will order without the yellow cheese. It comes with pepper jack so I don’t see the point of the yellow cheese anyway. The tea was fresh and tasted fine.

The breakfast biscuits!!! We got coupons in the mail, which encouraged us to try them for breakfast instead of chic-fil-a across the street as usual. And the biscuits made all the difference. In comparison to McDonald’s biscuits Carl’s were like and fluffy and soft. Wow, talk about take you back to grandmas house! I’m on #teamCarlsJr now

If you have 20 minutes to wait for a fast food burger go for it ! Unbelievable, I have been there several times and never been served within 20 minutes. Your better off just going to a sit down burger joint, by far betters and down. This franchise will be gone in a few years without a doubt.

Hadn’t eaten in awhile so I stopped at this place at 8:00PM. Big mistake. Possibly the worst hamburger I have ever had. I ordered the Mile High Bacon Cheeseburger($ 4.49 +tax). The picture over the counter showed this giant hamburger with strips of bacon piled high and cheese oozing out with various other toppings such as an onion slice, etc. After waiting over 15 minutes for this gastronomic delight, it finally appeared at my table. I must note in all of this time since ordering, no one else came in to place an order. The kid who brought it to me said he was sorry for the wait but there was some sort of «miscommunication». … Anyways, I unwrapped it to only find a 1⁄10th of a Mile Burger topped with stuck together bacon crumbles(which looked like they were left over from the breakfast menu) and a dollop of cheese. The burger(and I use that term loosely) appeared to be about 2 oz. and was burned to a crisp(a moisture meter would have read zero). Unfortunately I was starving so I ate this thing. As I was leaving, a very friendly manager appeared at the door and asked«How was everything»? Never, ever ask me this question if you really want the truth. I explained to him how bad this«burger» really was. He asked what he could do for me and since there was no way I was ever to order or eat anything here tonight or ever again, I said«Well, maybe you can refund my money even though I ate this hideous concoction». He went to the back and returned with my money and even comped the drink which I told him I would still pay for. My one star is for the manager who was more than understanding. The rest of this place for food and service deserves some minus stars. I did deposit their comment card in the suggestion box and checked off all of their boxes as «poor». This place makes McDonalds look like a gourmet burger place. Now I know why the long double line of cars was across the street at the Chick-Fil-A.

Carls Jr is fraudulently charging customers for certain items. The size of the medium fry is larger than the Large fry. Make sure you never order the Large. Who knows how many more items that they are doing this with.

I’ve always believed standards have to be pretty reasonable for a fast food place. Get it right. Get it to me fast. Be clean and be decent. The burgers and fries here are decent. The staff here is, well, not that quick and they don’t give a tinker’s damn about good service. This should doom them to a career in the lower realm of food service. Took my family through the drive thru to grab some burgers after a party. Everyone was hungry and anxious to get home. Carl’s was our second choice. I spent an inordinate amount of time repeating the order, which was not complex. We spent forever waiting on the order and the lids were not on the drinks properly when they were handed to me. That created a spill. With all that time, you think even a dullard could get this right. Nope. Then they tried to park us. Nope. Got our food and it was cold. What had they been doing all that time? Preparing our food? Apparently not. Nice work, Carl’s.

Don’t go here much but I find myself craving it often, it’s just the locations aren’t on my routes that’s all, but when I heard they had a green chile sandwich I couldn’t resist, but on a chicken sandwich wow. And it’s like a whole chile that’s the coolest part, always wanted that versus just chopped from a can like typically one sees. So good. Love their fries too, will be back ASAP Ok had the Santa Fe again, some more: Green chile chicken sandwich ie Santa Fe burger, so much flavor! The green chile is whole(rare) and the bit of spice and unique flavor compliments the cheese and hint of charbroil from chicken. Bun is really tasty surprisingly, that subtle touch of sweetness like honey wheat maybe. Typically u see green chile on beef so this is a first on a sandwich for me, and it doesn’t take much to get me, anything is amped up with green chile! This is easily the best tasting fast food burger I can think of in Houston, so try it while it lasts.

This place reminds me of jack in the box, literally. The grilled cheese burger I had was EXACTLY like the sourdough at jack in the box but instead Carl’s had american cheese and no tomato. And the sourdough taste better. I also got the super star? With cheese and it was ok. I got the cut fries and they tasted like frozen fries like when I make at home and didn’t thaw it enough and its a bit undercooked. The service was extremely slow. It took me 10min to get my meal and I was the only one there, there was no one inside either. 10min and my bun was cold and not even toasted or crunchy(the grilled cheese burger). Right when I was done ordering through the drive thru the girl who took my order forgot to turn off the mic and I heard her say, «damn where’s my phone». As I pulled up she saw me and was still looking for her phone. She then opened her window and grabbed my card to pay. After that she found her phone and I sat there and watched her texting someone while making my drink as if I was on her time and that she had to finish her text first to make my drink. When she handed me my food it was like she tossed it to me and was trying to shove it at me, same with my card as I was trying to pay. I tried to look at her name tag but she kept moving too fast. Don’t think I’ll be back

At the risk of sounding like I was paid to say this, here goes. I visited this location at 3:10 am on Saturday, and I’ve never had the pleasure of encountering as wonderfully nice a person as Otearia(I hope I spelled that correctly). At such a late hour, when most people barely offer the time of day to a stranger, customer or not, she went above and beyond anyone’s expectation to get a laugh out of me and make me feel like I was an actual customer… One that was valued. This is such a rare quality to find in an individual these days… I can only hope someone in charge of this location sees this message, because that beautiful young lady with her red hair.. She is the type of asset to a company that business owners dream of.

Worst carls jr I’ve ever been to. Had to wait forever for my simple order 2 burgers and sweet potato fries and the worst part was they messed up my burger. I drive all the way to the carls in Katy. In my opinion much better than this place. Very disappointed with this location.

Came here a few times but the service was extremely slow and every time they got my order wrong. Every… time… It was absolutely ridiculous. Anyways, not going back to this one. I’ve heard other Carl Jrs are not as bad as this one.

Food is okay. Problem is with this particular location. They constantly mess up your order. I keep coming back thinking that it will be better, somehow they always manage to get my order wrong. EVERYFUCKINGTIME! Crazy!

I remember when this location opened about a year ago or so. My mother and I were so excited to see the first Carl’s Jr in Houston open minutes away from our home. We’re from Los Angeles, and we loved stopping by Carl’s Jr to get their Famous Star burgers on a weekly basis. After visiting the restaurant recently I noticed they no longer advertise the Chicken Star Nuggets. If you ask for the Chicken Star Nuggets, they still offer them but no longer advertise them on the menu. The service at this location was okay, not crazy about it but the food was good. If you get the Chili Cheese Fries, they were ok. It seems like whoever made them added a little too much cumin.

Trying to eat low carb lately, which is tuff when you are trying to grab something quick for lunch. Someone told me that Carl’s Jr had some stuff I could try, so I went to give them a shot. I got the Turkey Jalapeño burger, without the bun and wrapped in lettuce. I have to say that it was pretty good. It had a chipotle sauce on it as well. The turkey burger wasn’t too dry, and the jalapenos added just enough bite. This location seemed to be clean, and the service was friendly. I will try them again.

I’ll keep this short and sweet. Carl’s Jr. is a shade below Burger King in the fast food hierarchy… and I never go to Burger King. Ever. Because it’s gross. The end. Okay, a few more words: Fries were half soggy/half crispy. The crispy ones were good, but those mixed in soggies are unforgivable. The lettuce on my burger were those grody outermost pieces that are totally thick and hard at the bottom towards the lettuce heart? You know those pieces? The pieces that most people throw away? Yeah. Burger patty was completely dry, despite being drenched in the stickiest sweet Teriyaki sauce on the planet. Maybe it’s because it was 1:30am, but I’m not willing to give them that excuse. Back to tapping my toes and twiddling my thumbs till an In-N-Out makes its ass over here, animal style.

If you saw the film Idiocracy you know why I love Carl’s Jr: «Welcome to Carl’s Jr. Would you like to try our EXTRABIGASSTACO? Now with more MOLECULES!» Pure awesomeness. And brilliant product placement just like in the film Demolition Man where my love for Taco Bell began at an early age. Being really annoyed and frustrated that I could not schedule time to drive back to Dallas to enjoy the inaugural In-N-Out animal style orgy(wait, that sounds bad) it was pure luck to drive by this place, notice it, continue driving and then do a cartoon character double-take to realize what I was looking at. It’s not In-N-Out but it is quite close. I WILLTAKEIT. I still had to finish the date but on the way home I picked up a little something special for myself to enjoy. Here is a hint: it has guacamole. And bacon. And pepperjack cheese. And a bun. I think there was some meat in there too but the food coma started around the bacon. And what’s more? «Would you like another EXTRABIGASSFRIES?» Yes, I think I would like another order of the chili cheese fries. The yin to In-N-Out’s animal style fry yang. James Coney Island makes some mean chili cheese fries — but Carl’s Jr just does it better and there is nothing to feel bad about that way. The fries are better quality, the chili is more thick and less watery … it is just tasty with a capital T. «Carl’s Jr. believes no child should go hungry. You are an unfit mother. Your children will be placed in the custody of Carl’s Jr. Carl’s Jr… «**** You, I’m Eating.» ^^^ Listen to the food dispenser from the future. Bring your children(even if they are middle aged men) here for a meal, otherwise you are an unfit mother.

Don’t bother me, I’m eating! Carl’s Jr finally comes to Houston! And I couldn’t have been happier. Got the 6 dollar Guacamole Bacon Cheeseburger and criss cut fries. Man, what a burger — its huge and its delicious and very filling. The guacamole is what really makes this burger good — I don’t know what CJ puts in their guacamole, but its gotta be crack. It’s so good. Want a good burger? come here! Lots of them on the menu, including the Famous Star and of course, the Western Bacon Cheeseburger. God bless you Carl’s Jr for coming to Houston! I’m happy :)
